Yes, I truly wish they had gotten to do the 6 game series that was originally planned instead of the series getting cut down to 3 along with the oddity that was Xenosaga ep 2. I loved that series and wish they would bring it back, but I sadly doubt it.
@@LadyTsuki Absolutely. Xenosaga is my favorite game series of all time. Stuck with me for decades (going back to Gears) due to both scope and emotional punch beyond anything else I've seen. XS3 felt like they were really hitting their stride, and the ending was simultaneously satisfying but also left me longing for more one day. RPGamer once trolled me hard with a Xenosaga 4 announcement on April Fools Day.. the memory still stings. Haha. Struggle to understand why Saga wasn't more commercially successful, unless poor marketing/timing, and the epic vision overrunning their resources. I am currently playing Xenoblade as many tout them as having possible connections or at least similar story beats... but haven't had nearly the same impact on me yet, despite managing to be more commercially successful. I can only dream this will somehow lead to the re-release and resurrection of the original stories. I often joke with my my brother and friends who I rant to about how great Gears/Saga are, that if I became a billionaire, the first thing I'd use the money for is to buy the rights to and fund a continuation, and only afterwards worry about things like saving/improving the world. :D Really appreciate finding videos like these that bring back the wonderful memories and spread awareness of Xenosaga! It's inspiring me to try my hand at making some too if I ever get time, especially now that higher resolution assets etc. are available via emulation.
@@Taikaru I'm glad I can help you relive the good days. I also quite love the series and haven't found anything *quite* like it so far (and I play LOTS of stuff). If the inspiration hits, I may make another music video or two for the series, especially now that I know what I'm doing more with editing (this was only my second try and various footage was different resolutions etc). Don't get me wrong, Xenoblade is good... just not quite in the same way as gears/saga are for me. And hey, if you ever buy the license, I'll definitely help the writing team/do some concept art for the revival. :P
