Ocean gate was all about a quick buck. Getting wealthy clients to the wreck by the cheapest method possible.
That said, the waivers that these passengers had to sign appeared to outline all the facts concerning the experimental construction of this submersible and the fact it had not been certified as fit for purpose by any of the relevant safety organisations. Unfortunately for the passengers, Stockton Rush appeared to be a very convincing & reassuring salesman.

Meaning it’s a lot harder to explore the ocean when the vast majority is focused on space. I’m not saying the task itself is more difficult, I’m saying it’s more difficult because of human priority. I can’t tell if you’re arguing for the sake of it or what but the prior is basically the summary.

All the while, at no point was his narration about himself or how awesome we're all supposed to think he is, which is curiously rare / refreshing these days. He could have utilized a safer submersible made with titanium or steel. These people trusted him with their life. Safety should have been the number 1 priority. The aftermath was such a tragedy. Rest in peace to the 5 passengers. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
