We had Nashville's best lighting and video production team set up at Michael Weintrob's infamous "Instrumenthead" studio in East Nashville to capture this show. This was the Cosmic Country band's first show since March 13th, 2020. We played every song from 'A Young Man's Country,' plus a few @Grateful Dead and @John Prine songs.

Had a chip on my shoulder re: this cat until about 5:40 when the rear booster arpeggios hit and he breaks loose from his atmosphere of competence into something a little weirder and rawer. I dig it. Dipping that chip in some salsa and eating it.

Great interpretation and breath of fresh air to a Dead standard. Ok, I'll admit it, this "Old and In The Way", dyed in the wool Deadhead since 1970 is blown away. It does the heart good to hear the next generation discovering and bringing new energy to the Dead set. I'm onboard this train!
When life starts to get back to normal, coming to see you play will be one of the top 10 first thing I on my to do list . Hopefully you will jam out Bertha and other Greatful Dead songs. I have never heard someone pick a guitar as beautifully as you do. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame will have a spot for you one day, just you wait and see my friend. Jerry Garcia would be so proud!!!!!

Just scrolling through youtube and came across this. I am more of a rock and blues guy myself. That being said damn dude that is some real amazing playing and preforming. Most arm chair quarterbacks won't actually realize how great and smooth your guitar playing and vocals were. It is one thing to be a good guitarist. It is another thing to be that good in a live band setting with so many variables you can't control. You sir have made a fan outta me.

Don’t sleep on pre-70s dead. The band with pigpen has a sound and feel unlike any after his passing. Two from the vault IMO are some of the best recordings they made!
Check out Americn Beauty and Working Man's Dead too! Both classic americana with plenty of country influence. Garcia was an accomplished steel pedal player

You have really got the groove down as far as the Grateful Dead are concerned.Take the vocals away(no offense this is just for a hypothetical situation) make this instrumental and it would sound like the dead jamming with no vocals that's how close it sounds. You've gained a new subscriber.
