Can You Beat Kingdom Come: Deliverance With a Wooden Training Sword?

- In this video I try to beat Kingdom Come: Deliverance with a wooden training sword.
The wooden training sword is not a weapon you're supposed to be able to obtain, but there is a way. There are actually two types of wooden training swords! There's the shortsword and the longsword.
The longsword is obtained by getting Father Godwin to surrender during combat. The shortsword is obtained by building the guardhouse in Prybislavitz in the From The Ashes DLC. Both suck, one just manages to suck more.
I may revisit this idea in the future. I want it to be possible so bad.
If you have any ideas for a challenge to do, leave it in the comments. It might happen!
I have no idea how to link my other social media and I don't want to bother figuring it out right now. Eat sand :)
Rest in peace Paul of Mitten Squad.
#kingdomcomedeliverance #challenge #gaming
Thank you for the kind words for Mittensquad. Also this was a great challenge.
Head attacks only and headcracker perk.
Less than a hundred subs on this level of goobery ? unfathomable , keep up the good work milky man
Omg we make frankincense in our farm.. never knew it was in KCD haha
Your editing, clarity and production are amazing!
I just started playing this game yesterday, and it's been a mess at first but I just won multiple 1v3s against bandits after learning how to properly attack.
Really excited to grow and becomr a god down the long road. The difficulty and way the game puts you in your place is fantastic
It's a bit of a masterpiece. My first playthrough, I didn't know you could learn how to parry lol
@@milkedbottle I won my first 1v4 against bandits, and 1v3 against cumans... It is so fun.
I hate but also can't help but love some of these objectives that just fail if you don't pay them mind as you would in real life.. it's so different and unique I think.
I am excited to become good at memorizing the combo attacks for longsword since I recognize many of these stances from my HEMA classes!!
@@MsFrostitute That is actually so awesome!! HEMA is so fascinating. I've always thought about it but never took the time to see if there's anything like that near me. Maybe Buhurt is in my future.
Maybe I can apply all the in-game alchemy recipes I've memorized in real life.
@@milkedbottle HEMA is amazing and can get very complex down the line as with most martial arts, a big difference is the fact HEMA gear costs a lot on top of classes, and then even finding places to train
got this randomly on my front page and i´m really suprised
you kind sir got yourself a subscriber
The Saint run: Merciful, Crimeless, Virgin, Fightless (whenever possible) and Vegan, no animal killing, skinning or eating. No looting anything or anyone. Only get money with selling herbs and potions you make or items that are given to you and through missions. Also stay a week in the monastery at least. I'm trying something similar rn in Hardcore with all negative perks and it's very immersing
Runt is a pretty notable part in any playtrhough, especially one's first playthrough. It's arguably the toughest combat encounter in the game, at least as far as 1v1s are concerned and it's mandatory. I think most players had trouble with it on their first go. I know I did when I first played the game.
In my first playthrough Runt creamed me a lot of times. Even in the times I almost had him he'd always just annihilate my health bar in a few hits after 10-15 mins of fighting. And then I load back in, back into the fight once again, I'm on autopilot at this point, and within 20 seconds he goes down. How? Runt is a tough fight yes, and you need to be on your toes, but the devs have given him a huge and glaring weakness that most people do not notice even though they should. He's not wearing a helmet. He has pretty good armor but he's not wearing a helmet. Now most people don't realise this is a weakness because if you hit his head with a master strike it doesn't do that much damage but if you actually manage to get an honest to god proper hit in his head, he'll either lose half his health or just go down immediately. And that's what I, inadvertently, did. Instead of master striking him I perfect blocked him and then managed to get a proper hit on his head that he didn't block and he just collapsed to the floor. I don't know if the wooden sword does enough damage to take advantage of this but if there is any hope of this fight ending, this is it. No master strikes. Honest to god hits on his head.
I thought it was pretty easy but I was pretty high level
How do you only have 146 subs? peak content right here man.
thank you!! :)
10:11 After playing through the game without any DLC, I then encountered the dog option and chose against it.
I couldn't think of many instances where having a dog follow me around would've worked in my favor.
Once you level up hound master it can attack enemies distracting them which is crucial in fighting entire camps or patrols. Dog is OP
If you'd like a challenge i have one idea i was toying with-
Bloodthirsty Mercy
Make all the cuman and bandits in pribyslavitz (during nest of vipers) not alive anymore before sabotaging the camp. You may not get any credit for the kills in your statistics, however.
Nice video dude, keep up the work!
thanks brother dawg
Headcracker perk and keep smashing his head? Plus poison on the sword might do it.
Why hasn’t this blown up ?
I'm a slow burner
Max out warfare, swords and, strength wtith wooden Suword. Also rip Mitten, miss you man.
Can't believe you used a song from bowser's inside story. Automatic like
bowser's got the swag
My guy how do you not know what Frankincense is? What kind of fresh heathenism is this??
erm... what the deuce? I'm a frankincense fanatic, don't even step to me bro (but you are totally right)
Oh man i didnt know mittensquad passed. He was my favorite.
halmberg only (no armor)
Halberd/pike only.
No levels, no perks and agonizing open world travel if you haven't discovered the places yet. Also you'd have to pick it up every time during a fight to start fighting again if you drop it.
I've been thinking about this 👀
I've tried this on vanilla. You lose the halberd during the cutscene after losing to Runt since it can't be stored in containers and all of your belongings will be transported to the chest near your bed.
@@potatokilr7789 makes it more difficult I guess, just means you need to go out and pick a fight (with no weapons) to get another after cutscene/s.
0:53 now hear me out guys
these videos got me wanting to play KCD lol reminds me of dnd but history
it's so worth
Taking the advice of Zoul's men I see.
no armor, sir radzigs sword only
Youre funny man keep up the good work!
But did u use a bane potion tho
Btw, how do you obtain the short wooden sword?
As far as I know, the only way is in the Prybislavitz DLC. You gotta build the guardhouse and it'll just be on the wall for you to take
@@milkedbottle there is no woodsword y the wall i cant see one
@Shadowabi21100 hrm. I've never done it myself but, like I said, as far as I know it should be hung on the wall of the guard house in prybisavits :(
🎉
joke about dead mother is cringe af
do a serial killer playthrough...you have to kill every killable npc you talk to or if they greet you...
I love murder (this is admissible in court)
This is actually incentivized due to certain cosmetics only appearing on lootable NPCs and not in any shops
why didn't you take the headcracker perk? is it because its too cheesy? in my personal playthrough of the game that perk was mvp just kept aiming for the head because it was soo good.
You know what... crud. My thought was that it only applied to strength-based weapons but now that I look at it, the wooden longsword is a strength weapon. Huh.
I've gotten headcracker on an arrow shot
@@TrialBySquire real??
@@milkedbottle yes. I was shocked. It was a headshot to a helmet that didn't pierce but guy got knocked out and of course the screen said headcracker procd
I love finding smaller channels like this that are high quality. You deserve more views!
Really fun video, great editing. Great use of memes. I only just played Kingdom Come for the first time and you made me view it in a completely different way. BUT-- just gotta say, the audio quality really grinds my gears bud. No hate, just saying the amount of clipping, and it's like an ear bud mic or something, can't finish the video even though I was enjoying it otherwise.
Fair enough, thank you :)
i have been so busy trying to catch up with Mitten Squad videos since i got out of training i didn't even know he had passed dam this is heartbreak
Just came across this video randomly looking for dice locations, subbed for KCD2. Hope to see more content like this soon ❤whenever it releases . Great video!
For being a fella with only 45 subs as typing I must say the editing and production is at a high level:)
Thank you! I never release something I'm not proud of. I only make videos I, myself, would watch.
Dude, you should have a lot more than 1k subscribers, the commentary is fun, the editing is great, if you told me q TH-camr with a couple hundred thousand subs made this I wouldn't doubt it, keep up the good work bro
thank you!! That means a lot :)
finish all the monestary quests
what a horrible suggestion! I hate it and I will hate it even more when I do it someday. Thank you for pain and suffering
bro is like that killer with a spoon
i am exactly whoever that is you're talking about
Wait that purple bar is your enemies health?!
erm... no... yes
Challenge Idea: Beat KCD using only the training halberd (you'll need mods to get it). This will make it impossible for you to sprint or use perfect blocks, ripostes, combos, or master strikes.
thanks, I'm sure I'll hate it :)
just a little tip since you've said you just sit and wait during the dream sequence in multiple videos now, you dont have to, once you "beat" the 3 cuman's (maybe you can ignore them even) if you run towards henrys house (your in skalitz btw) the dream ends, i know its hard to get your bearings but you start at the entrance to skalits and directly ahead is the pillory stand (where the charcoal burners were in the prolog) head right from that up the hill to the gate and the dream should end, maybe you already figured this out but I hope this saves someone time all the same.
i try to use the dream sequences as a puny boost to combat stats, but thank you anyway!
We cave men , cave men with style. Carve up your clubs Bois , when I doubt give it a blunt edge.
so real, so true and so OOH
you need the headcracker perk
Why didnt the poison work ? Is it because its a blunt weapon ?
I think so. I think it just doesn't work on the wooden sword. My guess is that you don't do damage *because* of the wooden sword. You do damage because the enemy is out of stamina, so yeah, blunt damage and so the poison technically isn't being used on them. That made more sense in my head
Bow only
So, if you interpret the challenge being: "only do damage with the wooden sword," there are a few options you could use to boost your damage. Perks like blacksmith's son, serrated edge, and headcracker could help, the artemisia potion as well. I think the big ticket could be dollmaker poison. As far as I can tell, dollmaker doesn't do any damage, but it massively debuffs the target, including cutting thier max stamina in half for the duration.
It's also worth noting that blocking enemy attacks might deplete thier stamina faster than landing your own hits. I've heard you can bait out aggression from the AI by showing them your back.
Hope you find a solution eventually! Good video!
Follow-up idea: could you knock someone out with lullaby/achoholic coatings, then beat them?
I've only tried putting Bane potion on weapons. I should definitely experiment with other potions but my worry is that even when I (rarely) get blood to pop out of enemies, it doesn't seem like the Bane potion is doing anything. But like, there no way they'd make potions obsolete on a weapon you shouldn't even have, right? This rant is better saved for a video lmao. Very good point though
Just gotta make the enemy sprint towards you so they'll instantly attack
@@jondoe384 *sweating profusely* erm... awkward
Well done. Nice to see another KCD challenge runner! Keep it up man. And mad respect for the mittensquad words dude! Excited to see what you cook up next!
Also, can you not apply poisons to the wooden sword? I know you probably can’t penetrate the armor enough with it… but I imagine there’s some combo to make this work 🤔
You have discord by chance?
You can apply poison to the wooden sword but in my not-so-extensive testing, I don't think you can affect anyone with it, even if blood pops out of them.
Also of course I have discord. I may have been caveman but I'm not neanderthal lol
Only fists and no armour at all + no perks + no potions.
Only use polearms
