i played through the game 5 times and never realized that i could choose skills at the very start, Great. Lovely. All that pain... Could've avoided some of it...
Hey again, while trying this, it said to get the lockpicks from our friends for looting the Deutch's house--before doing the manure mission. Problem is, you get the lockpicks FROM doing the manure mission. Must be missing something, I don't know how to get a lockpick without that mission 5:07
You can get the lockpicks before then too - you need to make sure you don't beat the old man up, walk up to his chest and get the dialogue about Fritz giving lockpicks. The go immediately to the tavern, after the cut scene talk to Fritz before he runs off and you'll get them!
@@Strat-Guides Ah huge! thank you, thought that cutscene always went immediately into throwing manure. Realized there was an option to say "no, not about it". Managed to get all of Deutsch's loot even after it too! He carried away firewood and I had enough time for both chests
@butters4204 Yeah I think you mightve missed a step somewhere, I've JUST NOW been following this to the letter and am the proud owner of some shiny new lock picks, and I've not done more than grabbed the herbalist perk stuff, spoke to kunesh and knocked out the guy by my house n robbed him, (3rd time now I want that stealth UP before moving on,) I personally keep returning to drop all my stolen stuff off at the chest cos the habits a good one to have in this game, fully intending on now going to see the missus at the boozer and then going to rob every chest I can access and unlock everything unlockabke with the picks, Then it's sword training and then more burglary... then I'll go grab the stolen gear n sell whatever I have that's perishable or I know I won't use, GOTTA remember the horse with the green saddle cloth tho,, and I'm gunna take the cumin out once I leave skalitz and do a hitman style exfil *that's a thing you can do in game fyi,, just dont target lock onto him and do the one big hit overhand like 6 or 7 times, take all bros stuff and the rest of em barring the guys being a lil rapey *which we'd REALLY like to take out but can't cos we are so dam SQUISHY still and then it's run away from them time and wait till you get hot in the leg n then take the noble saddle and bridal thing and hey presto onwards to the tournament and then waiting till the night prior and knocking out every contestant and taking all the gear off em, (makes winning a fkn breeze and you got a few thousand groshen for you're trouble,, just mind n leave the castle by the upper gate and take the hill to the right to box around the town till ypu reach the miller's place where you have a chest, dump everything, gear up, go bk to take part in the tourney and do that another what? 7 times? (Get a full set of pretty good armour, a shield and a wepon, plus 400 groshen each win, and you can bet the Miller you'll win which slightly more than doubles the purse,,,,
I was able to get all of the ones he mentioned with the four lockpicks except for the hard lock in the chamberlain's room of Talmberg. It takes a bit of luck, honestly. I'd use a savior schnapps probably halfway through grabbing the chests. If you run out of lockpicks before the poacher's one, you can buy more from the Votava dude in Talmberg
Love Griff's speedy detailed help, but I only got 1 lockpick from Fritz. Broke that, so all the stuff I'm sposed'ta steal in Tamberg I can't get to....natch, it's gotta be me!
Random question here, how is your Henry wearing his hood like that at the start? Normally the hood is just down. Is that a mod or is there some option I'm not seeing to toggle it? Anyway, awesome guide! Very useful
I wish you could provide a link we could print a transcript. Be me, 64, try and take notes as you talk in roadrunner . If you listen closely I swear one can hear a “meep meep” every now and then. I love what you say but can’t keep up. I’ve tried to use the mic in a note taking app that prints what you say and the only one word it printed was “jail”. You’re like the professor from hell. “I’m only going to say this once class so pay attention, this will be 95% of your 4 hour exam.” OH COME ON!!! 😂😂😂😂
Great info. But as a first playthrough, it’s a slog carrying all that weight everywhere. You fail to mention it takes great patience walking around that slow with all that weight lol but still yet, it’s gave me a better start than when I did it on my own.
LOCKPICKS CORRECTION: When talking to your friends, just say you are in. Do not ask for help in return, or you won't get the lockpicks. To be sure you get them, ask Fritz for a lock picks right away, right when boys start to run to Deutsch's house. (I only started to play a couple days ago, so I guess it might have something to do with updates.) Also, I've found out if you run to Bianka as quickly as possible after obtaining the lockpicks, you will have the most dialogue options. You need to ask really quickly, skipping all dialogue, not reading/listeting to it whole. I am not sure why, I think you need to ask before the boys reach Deutsch's house, but I did not test it too thoroughly. So, you need to run to Bianca --> quickly ask about Matthias and then if she saw your friends. Other dialogue options stay the same, just do not ask about beer as is mentioned in the video. And pardon my English, I am not playing it in English and I am not from an English-speaking country. I hope my comment still makes sense. :)
No, you can get the lockpicks even if you ask them for their help. There hasn't been an update in several years and this was recorded just a couple weeks before posting so everything I did in the video can be done
@@Griff_Gaming Really? I just played it and repeated that part as I was trying something and it didn't offer me that dialogue when I asked them for help. I must've done something differently then. I believe you more than I believe myself. :) I thought as they are helping me anyway I am not in need of those lockpics anymore. :D
At 9:35 on the road to the right, a guy walks on the road just outside of view with the best gambesons (Quarted combat jacket) in the game, the yellow and black one. If you run this way as he is in the video, you can jump over the tiny stream of water with the horse which glitches the Cumans out, making them turn back around to use the road over the water instead. Giving you some time to kill this guy and jump of to grab the jacket before they come around. This is the earliest i've found to get this piece of armor, and might as well pick it up here if you are maxing out the game fast.
Very true but it's the very same one we get at 11:30. In my experience to kill that NPC usually requires you to stab a couple times and it shred the jacket unfortunately whereas the Chamberlains is usually a bit higher condition so it can be repaired by Henry rather than needing to be taken to the merchants for repair
@@Griff_Gaming If i remember it correctly, you can get it close to perfect condition as long as you are aiming for the head. You are correct though.. The pristine one at 11:30 is probably way easier to get. I just like getting this one because it is a fun challenge. And also good for helping out leveling up maintenance when you get yourself some tailor kits!
You actually can beat up Kunesh and still get the lockpick. Just don't take the keys after that. Check the chest, take keys and after that you still can ask your friends to beat him up with you (for fun)
Not sure if you are reading this, but if you want to turn all your stolen gear into coin, just sell everything to the Apothecary in Rattay. After a day or two, he sells everything you sold him, and he gets a massive amount of coin that you can simply steal from the back of his shop, accessed through the alchemist bench.
Easier to do it with Peshek TBH. He has the same thing and he only has 1 chest right by his house. This does apply to any merchants in the game though, just each have varying degrees of how easy their invetory chests are to access
@@Strat-Guides That's correct, but you get double the money from the Apothecary instead of Peshek. That's why I suggested it-it's more efficient. The amount of money the trader gets from overselling is based on what the trader would have given you for that. Peshek always gives you a very low amount compared to normal traders.
It's a mod, I'll link it if you're interested. The black hoods look AWESOME when equipped without a hat on. Really makes you look like a bandit! www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/483
It is possible to level up Herbalism up to 10 before finishing the Sword. At the point, there are two perks to consider at 10. Botanist, which makes herbs sold at 15% higher, or Leg Day which gives Strength Experience when you gather herbs. Which is the preferred perk out of the two?
Leg Day, 100%. Most herbs are sold for 0.1 groschen so not only do you rarely profit from that one, you also need to have a LOT of herbs to actually benefit and find correct buyers to sell to. The order should always be Flower Power at level 5, Leg day at level 10, then you can pick whatever you want at level 15 and 20 since both the others are both kinda meh
nice guide to get well equiped and ready to roll :) on the first playthrough i would advise to take some time and get to know the world a little tho.. if you want to have unlimited time you can also glitch / leave the starting area and travel the world while beeing in the prolog
For sure! The story def is worth experiencing at a slower pace so you can soak it in! I just see so many people caught in the weeds in Skalitz, I wanted to show a quick, efficient way to get to the open world and experience everything this game has to offer while not being overwhelmed by combat mechanics or lack of protection!
When training with Bernard and doing the wrong combo - when I do the right one and succesfully end the training, will I not be able to do that lesson again to keep farming with the wrong combi?
Yes you can! It's just after you do the correct combo 3 times he will end the training. Or you can milk it by doing the wrong one about 10-15 times before he ends it
I restarted the game and followed the guide completely and I am not getting a quest prompt to talk to Fritz about the lockpicks when I look at the chest, any idea what I could have missed?
Speak to father first who will prompt you to collect from Kunesh. Then speak to Kunesh. When the game prompts you to get the tools another way, Henry shoudl audibly say something after looking at the chest
@joanmanelpratpla4801 when you're burying your parents you can pick them up. You'll be overburdened for a few steps, but the quest that starts you off at rattay will have all your stuff in the chest there when you wake up!
@kylewilson1238 you need to get the lower level locks first to gain some lock picking levels. I think at level 6 with luck of the drunk perk and some alcohol you cab unlock anything
Can you please upload that save somewhere? It would be good to have it, as I don't have enough patience to do all the stuff needed. Takes way more time constantly looking in my phone for that hints
If you check the description, I've left a link to a Notion page where I have a check list of step by step instructions you can follow along with, hope that helps!

When I first played this game I didn’t even know how to equip a sword so I ran around for two hours without one. ( it was brutal)
same. and in the dream sequence, i didnt know you can wield your sword...i was hamfisting them while getting surrounded
I started my new game this past weekend. After seeing this video I’m going to start over again and follow this 🙂 great video my friend!
Ahhh picking all the plants brings back memories. i loved that grind for some reason but as soon as combat was introduced the learning curve was too steep. bring me back to the nettles and dandelions lol
Combat can def be difficult, what I say is try to get to around the first big battle (in Priby). If it's still impossible then there's that but the beginning you're so undertrained it's jarring. I think KCD 2 will do much better at leveling that curve out to make it more accessible
@@bim_94 any ideas on how he can pick plants that fast?
@@HanganakaNak once your herb skill is a certain level you can hold the button and collect from the general area (the area getting larger the higher your skill is)
That's from memory though! I've not played in like 2 years and only put something like 10 hours into the game lol
@@bim_94 i know you can pick more and more when u get to a certain level but, he took them like he was taking stuff off ground, it normally plays an animation
I have the complete opposite experience, learning combat was fine for me, but gathering herbs? Not at all, I barely notice any herbs whilst im travelling, but I can at least do some alchemy if I look at the book every second
very good video, ..
I don't know how I miss that game, found it browsing for cheap keys and found it's complete version for about usd3 and found about it's second one coming early next year, ..
Thanks for the good video.
The farmer near Henrys house has a guide on "How to avoid getting choked out", it does not have many views though.
hope it all goes well for you guys
Thank you for the support Marcos!
9:05 Grabbing the horse. I watched another TH-camr and found out you can ALSO get a HUGE load of Armor/Weapons/etc, by attacking/whistling the guards, then Horse back ride and forth to KILL all the Kumash with the sword, near the house that (30 or more) then LOOT em. Ive seen it done, but DAM its tough to do.
FUUUU now I want to play this game again!
i played through the game 5 times and never realized that i could choose skills at the very start, Great. Lovely. All that pain... Could've avoided some of it...
Good video :D, Btw this game is really hard so thx for tutorial :DDDD
7 times? (Get a full set of pretty good armour, a shield and a wepon, plus 400 groshen each win, and you can bet the Miller you'll win which slightly more than doubles the purse,,,,
How can you pick 20 chests with only 4 picking tools from Fritz?
@@g0urmetg752 because they didn't break due to successful lockpicking, so he can use them over and over.
I was able to get all of the ones he mentioned with the four lockpicks except for the hard lock in the chamberlain's room of Talmberg. It takes a bit of luck, honestly. I'd use a savior schnapps probably halfway through grabbing the chests. If you run out of lockpicks before the poacher's one, you can buy more from the Votava dude in Talmberg
jus bought the game. its hilarious that the way to be efficient is to choke somebody out immediately. savage xD
Love Griff's speedy detailed help, but I only got 1 lockpick from Fritz. Broke that, so all the stuff I'm sposed'ta steal in Tamberg I can't get to....natch, it's gotta be me!
Henry comes to visit
I hear he's quite hungry too!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Random question here, how is your Henry wearing his hood like that at the start? Normally the hood is just down. Is that a mod or is there some option I'm not seeing to toggle it? Anyway, awesome guide! Very useful
It's a mod!
Can’t wait for the best game of 2025🎉🎉
Me too! Been on my mind since they announced it in April!
“I’m only going to say this once class so pay attention, this will be 95% of your 4 hour exam.”
OH COME ON!!!
😂😂😂😂
For the most part a great guide, however you rush through some parts which i didnt understand where it was specifically like the scavenger guide bit.
I do it a little slower paced in the Livestream linked in the description do it's a bit easier to follow in real time
Nice videoo griff🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Atharva! Good to see ya!
@@Griff_Gaming always will be there with you🫡
The combo training also resets your health. So you can train with real weapons, get you ass kicked then do the combo training to heal up
awesome guide, thanks
(I only started to play a couple days ago, so I guess it might have something to do with updates.)
Also, I've found out if you run to Bianka as quickly as possible after obtaining the lockpicks, you will have the most dialogue options.
Henry, the Nettle picker.
Nice!😊
Thank you!
This sounds like griff gaming guy.
It sure does, huh? Haha, thanks for watching!
how do you get henry's hood up like that at the start????

@@sicecko you would think they would have it be vanilla for a guide, especially a starters guide
@averyvincent8361 true. And it's a small visual one so it doesn't change anything he said. But it did get my hopes up for a few minutes
For the Deutschs house I follow him into the house and get another stealth take down that way you dont have to lock pick the outside door
B.s. I broke my lock picks in the beginning and missing out on all that locked up loot. Sad times. Edit: dont do this ur first run
When you wake up in Rattay, should you do the miller stuff first before going to level your skills? I don't want Pecheck mad at me :P
found this at the perfect time, was just thinking about playing through kingdom come
Awesome!
not killing everyone in Skalitz and not getting armor and weapons and bow before leaving? the heck is this poor guide? :)
how is the animation so short for picking up plants. I have a whole crouching animation
It's a mod I use. I'll leave it linked down below

Henry needs that money for food, I hear he's hungry quite often!
nice guide to get well equiped and ready to roll :) on the first playthrough i would advise to take some time and get to know the world a little tho.. if you want to have unlimited time you can also glitch / leave the starting area and travel the world while beeing in the prolog
For sure! The story def is worth experiencing at a slower pace so you can soak it in! I just see so many people caught in the weeds in Skalitz, I wanted to show a quick, efficient way to get to the open world and experience everything this game has to offer while not being overwhelmed by combat mechanics or lack of protection!
whats up griff
What's up Big Red!
You using a mod for the hood? If not I never noticed you can use it
Yeah that's a mod!
When training with Bernard and doing the wrong combo - when I do the right one and succesfully end the training, will I not be able to do that lesson again to keep farming with the wrong combi?
Yes you can! It's just after you do the correct combo 3 times he will end the training. Or you can milk it by doing the wrong one about 10-15 times before he ends it
Its time for a new playthrough i guess
2:52 i dont seem to have the dialogue option to ask where matthew and fritz are, is there something i might of missed?

No matter what you do, the lockpicking system in this game is still an atrocity upon mankind. Hope it's switched out entirely in the next game.
For the training section with Bernard check out Ziggy the Adventurer!
Every time I pick up one nettle it goes into a mini cutscene to show him picking it up, is there a way I can remove that mini cutscene?
Only way is to use a mod (on PC)
I restarted the game and followed the guide completely and I am not getting a quest prompt to talk to Fritz about the lockpicks when I look at the chest, any idea what I could have missed?
Speak to father first who will prompt you to collect from Kunesh. Then speak to Kunesh. When the game prompts you to get the tools another way, Henry shoudl audibly say something after looking at the chest
