Am an fzs dark knight owner and chennai city commuter for 4 months...my opinion...fzs is a master manipulator...watch closely...he targeted bike foundation like breaks, tyre and torque to power ratio...so you have absolute control and confidence over bike in any situation...so you are the lord of streets...even in speedy ride and speedy cornering and cuts, you have confidence and dont have fear compared to other 150 cc....so what is use of riding so fast with fear of progressive breaking and less cornering ability..if rtr is beast, fzs is lucifer..... Reputed badass brand....i love yamaha....

It's strong and robust..only issue is while placing in parking lot, small chances that nearby vehicle scraches It's tank..It's not a design flaw, but manufacturing flaw, as some are complaining that tank material is cheap and some are not.. That's my feeling..
@@arunxarm 2 regarding heating issues, it's an air cooled engine, fuel injected and 2 valve. As maintenance is inversely proportinal to performance, it's easy to maintain, but after travelling 90+ kilometre, mild heating issue will be there,, its common.. As its air cooled, so when u leave it undisturbed for 25 minutes it will surely rejuvanate.. Less maintenance compared to liquid cooled. If you use liquid cooled, less heating issue comparatively, but when repair comes, you need more maintenance charge and more expence from your pocket..

Looks are subjective but the air vents on the FZ series are super ugly to me, and the matte color scheme paired with the silver grill on the vents looks so out of place!

FZS V3 is the clear winner with better Service and Better parts and it's a costly bike so there's no comparison of a normal bike with a Premium Bike manufactured by Japan.. And correcting the Boy you can even start your bike without Kick Paddle by putting it on the Full stand with 4th or 5th gear engaged onto it and then using hand suddenly rotate the tyre with Gear being engaged.. Boom the Exhaust starts roaring and here your bike is ready for the Ride

No doubt the ans is FZ. For city riding this is the best deal you have. I own fz while my brother has apache. So i m aware of all pros n cons of both the bikes. Apache is good in its terms and fz in its terms.... U will get an average upto 52-55 kmpl (which personally i gained). I am a owner of fzs version 3.0 from april 2019. If u hv any queries u can ask.. Fz looks good but ride with pillon and take on cliff upwards then you will feel the need of power it lacks !! Your bike will b like lousy elephant struggling in 1st gear and other 160 cc bikes will easily overtake you lol :D
True but fz is street bike, we may compromise on terrain and cliffs but in streets,city it is way better in every aspect. 1/2 sec quicker in 0-60 is not a big deal at all. Yamaha is yamaha.

The reason for not including the Fi variant in this review is that even the carb variant of the Apache is better than the FZ-S Fi in multiple aspects and hence, taking the Fi would have further taken the fight away from the FZ. I have been using FZ for past 1 year.. 🔥 Great mileage and great comfort for long drive. In a 500kms ride I never felt any backpain or tired. 🔥
