I wouldn't know, my GPS has pretty much eliminated Poundtown as a destination in the last couple weeks. (Generally Pissedoff Spouse). EDIT: Rerouting...rerouting...make a U-turn as soon as possible. Think my GPS just told me to go eff myself.
Automation is exactly as smart as the person who set it up. That is to say, it is capable of screwing things up way faster than you ever could on your own.
The thing about using fusion 360 or Esprit to make your program is I'm never 100% sure what the program is going to do. At least as a new tool and die maker.
Somewhat related is what Bjarne Stroustrup once said: "C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do it blows your whole leg off"
Yea, you're on the wrong _Tube_ site for that. Although, if you know how to search, there are "Educational" / "Tutorial" videos on here that are devoid of clothing. 😳🤣
I chuckled when you were amazed someone threw out 10lb of Brass. I was recently on a project where we threw out close to 2 tons of nice brass (mostly in perfect sized 15-20LB chunks). Our customer wouldn't let us keep any of it, insisted it all had to go in the metal scrap bin, it hurt seeing all that go in the "trash".
When I saw brass and lead, I thought this would be a different video. Something you Canadians aren’t allowed to have anymore thanks to the wisdom of the leadership up there. Anyway, love the pencil cup!
Im so glad you show all of your mistakes. Im an engineer but I often make mistakes like these and got quite disheartened by it. Seeing you do the same gives me the confidence not to give up!

Anyone else imagining a flood coolant anti-chastity belt for boudoir related activities? No? ah well. Also - AVE - looks like a perfect project for a 3d printed insert. extra dividers and can optionally fill in the apprentice void with a fully intentional color/material change.
Nope. Black sharpies are meant to be stored tip up, and silver sharpies tip down, that's why the silver sharpies don't have a pocket clip on the cap. (As per manufacturer.) Each market is different. See, you learned something, and now you can tell your mom the time you "wasted" on TH-cam wasn't a waste after all.
I know absolutely nothing about cnc machines, water jets, CAD, etc, but still get intrigued by these vid. Its amazing the stuff these things can do. If only it was run by someone that knew wth they were doing. Lol i joke i joke, i keed, i keed. Cool stuff bub
Ah, didn't reduce the inner wall length on the intersections and throw in a gentle taper. Nothing a couple gravers and needle files couldn't fix! I have faith in you; you will complete that maze without losing a pen
It's not about the diameter or girth of the tool but the penetrating depth of the cooling lubricant when the action stops that determines the final product
watching these kind of videos i wondered what happens with the excess lube that goes down the CNC. Does it get filtered from the metal pieces and back to the system ... or just down the drain?
As a young lad I once "bottomed out" too close to the sun 😂 The obgyn said "you're probably hitting her cervix" She was not amused with me asking if we got a "patient of the month award" 😂
@@Eluderatnight It really shouldn`t contaminate shit... It`s a high tech variant of rainex really... Coming to a Dollar Tree near you, but pure plastic.
There will still be a little lead.
Or in the UK, I believe its called Pound Town. Don't we all enjoy a trip to the pound town? 🤣🤣🤣

“Pure”…
Doing what all machinists have done over the years. Turning a piece of scrap into a smaller piece of scrap.
cause u get a scrap price for it?
Getting into a scrap is easy, getting out is more difficult.
Automation is exactly as smart as the person who set it up. That is to say, it is capable of screwing things up way faster than you ever could on your own.
Unmanned problems even during night shift? Who can argue with that productivity lol
So that's why all of my projects end up a total disaster so fast... I just blame the automation and most are none the wiser 😅
Garbage in garbage out. In vogue since the fifties.

Cnc makes it fun to automatically break tools but when it works and the program is right damn it’s a nice dance.
“Your bottomed out and she’s calling for more”! Lol
This isn't the probing videos I usually watch on the internet, but it worked just the same.

W-why?!
Yeah I would have liberated a few chunks for myself because that’s pretty wasteful
I’m happy to buy it at half price down at the scrap yard.
@inthefade probably cuz the guy knew the value and had already sold it, told his guys it's scrap to hide the value
What is the name of the scrapyard?

I think you needed more coolant. I could still see the part!
If it aint like olden EDM sinkers where the part is fully submerged, it ain`t what i expect when i hear flood coolant... :P

Every time I probe incorrectly she won’t let me re probe….😮
AvE, you can never use too much lube. Sure clean up is a problem, but why risk damage to your tool.
watching these kind of videos i wondered what happens with the excess lube that goes down the CNC. Does it get filtered from the metal pieces and back to the system ... or just down the drain?
