Great video! For a video on just the basics of looping, I think a 5 min video would be really great, but I'd always welcome more detailed videos too. I'd love to see more 'day in the life' videos from you as you continue on the closed loop. I recently started on an omnipod, but I'm not loving it so I've been thinking about trying to build a loop if I can find an old compatible pump.
Thanks so much. And i was thinking about 5 min video too. And i am planning to do more vlogs like this as i think this is the best way of explaining what looping does . And good luck with pump search 😁😀
Hi Kamil thanks again for such an informative video. With the Belvita bar you said ‘ it recommended 4 hours on the packet for the absorption rate’ please can you explain that AND how did you work out the best absorption rate for yourself thanks
Hi. So this is based on my personal experience. Also loop has this very intelligent fiction which matches your actual carb absorption and changes to BG value to the projected ones that you entered in. And when I entered 4 h, it showed that carbs stopped working 1 h before that. As you can see loop has a lot of small but amazing intelligent features 😊😃
Hi, really fascinating to see this & meet your alter ego-think he needs more exercise like me! 😎 Has the technology moved on from this in terms of what is available now? Having just started with an Omnipod I will not use a tubed pump. Thanks, Roger. 💖
That's great that you can set your target for 5 to 6, in the US on the 670g (I'm not in a pump, do MDI) the lowest you can go is 120 which is a big reason I shouldn't consider that one!
I’m very interested in this fixed vs. not fixed target-situation too! It would be very exciting to hear how Looping will affect you A1c, Kamil! I hear that for some people who already had a great A1c, the AutoMode of 670G actually raised their A1c, because the target is fixed! That’s not very attractive! But it seems that this would not happen on Loop! I would love to hear your experience on this when you have a new A1c, if you don’t mind sharing that information, of course! :D Thanks sooooooo much for your videos, ALL of them are of great help!
Hello, sorry for my english but I write with translator :-) Is it possible to use loop 3.0 with a Libre3? If so, is it also possible if I don't have internet, for example in a basement, on an airplane or abroad?
Loved meeting your friend. He’s so 2017 with his 640G though huh?! 😉 Great watching your loop journey Kamil. I’m part of a wee Scottish loop FB group now ‘McLoop Openaps’ so I’m hopeful of some local support once we do get started. I think the 5 minute vid would be a good intro length for any complete newbies. I really like seeing the details too... and can’t wait to hear the rileylink news! Appreciate all the work you put in to these videos Kamil, well done.
I know right . He is so first half of 2018 with his 640G. I hope that you will get some support. Apparently, majority of clinics and DSN are for systems like LOOP. And i agree that 5 min video will be perfect. And about Rileylink, there is something supper super excited. I wish i could say what but you will need to wait. It is something amazing 😆
Thanks for the videos man!' I do have a question, I bought the film from your Amazon link and I'm only using it with libre sensor, miaomiao is on its way..but the film keeps coming off easily..and the sensor as well. Any advice? Thank you!
I'm about to go onto Loop and switch from MDI to pump. I was wondering what insulin you're using? I'll be using Humalog, as that's the fastest available here in Australia, but I understand that the newer Fiasp insulin, approved in the US makes the responsiveness significantly better.
That is amazing. And i am using Novorapid but i am currently in a process of switching to Fiasp and will probably do a vlog about my Loop experience with Fiasp. ☺️😃
You said at the end of your video, there was some exciting news about Riley link........just wondered if it was worth me waiting in buying one if something new was coming out?. Thanks
What are you using to stick the MiaoMiao onto your arm? Looks as though you have the standard MiaoMiao sticky stuff plus something which goes over the top of it and (half?) the sensor? Good to see that you are getting to grips with Loop. One more question about the set up ... do you use the iPhone Bluetooth for anything other than the MiaoMiao and RileyLink? My worry is that if used for other stuff such as earbuds, car hands free, live traffic updates to car sat nav .... something would have to give and that may be the important - Loopy - stuff.
I am in Canada but I am pretty sure you can source it easily in the UK as well. They use in hospitals to keep your IV in place. Here is a link with the specs: www.3mcanada.ca/3M/en_CA/company-ca/all-3m-products/~/3M-Tegaderm-Transparent-Film-Dressing-1624W-frame-style-6-cm-x-7-cm-2-3-8-in-x-2-3-4-in-/?N=5002385+3293796646+3294529206&rt=rud I pay~$25 cdn for a box of 100 and i order them from diabetesexpress You can try the UK amazon site. Also I can get them here at any local pharmacy in the first aid section. Usually come in a box on 6 for $6-7 cdn.
Hi Alan. Thanks so your comment ans i use this tagaderm. I have used a lot of them and i found that this one is the best becasue its strong and size is great too. I put link if you are interested: amzn.to/2knO6kh . Also, I do use my wireless headphones and everything works absoultly fine. Also i sometimes use OneDrop meter too and no problems. And i agree, this is very important and it is a very good question 😆😀 I hope this helps
yes if you scan it in the 1 h activation period. Also you need to be in a country that has LibreLink app available. Check my vid for more details: th-cam.com/video/Orj3jzWuLFA/w-d-xo.html
Loved the special effects! Well done! And that’s addressed to both of you!
Thanks so much. And i enjoyed making them too and i hope they were entertaining and informative 😏😆😁
Great video. We are 3 days into Looping and seeing this video makes us feel like we’re on the right track. Thank you and please keep up the videos.

Hi I can’t find Loop app on my iPhone. Can you please help me to find it
Hi ,
Very nice video. I just wonder what we need ie hard and software to set up loop by using free style libre and dana pump .

Call Me Scout isnt 120 a 6 A1C..I'm not seeing a problem with that target
Thanks and i agree. They should allow us to set our own targets 😆🤨 I think they restrict it for security
I don’t know what looping is. Do I need it. I am not on insulin.

Hey man, could you provide a link to what adhesive strips you get to cover your libre?
Hello, sorry for my english but I write with translator :-) Is it possible to use loop 3.0 with a Libre3? If so, is it also possible if I don't have internet, for example in a basement, on an airplane or abroad?
Another great video! What insulin are you running through your pump?
So .. when not connected to your phone, it doesn't provide basal insulin?
How to get loop app of its not available in App Store?

Thanks so much. Mine works great so I haven't experimented with other options. Maybe try other companies?
Are you still using Loop?
I'm about to go onto Loop and switch from MDI to pump. I was wondering what insulin you're using? I'll be using Humalog, as that's the fastest available here in Australia, but I understand that the newer Fiasp insulin, approved in the US makes the responsiveness significantly better.

You said at the end of your video, there was some exciting news about Riley link........just wondered if it was worth me waiting in buying one if something

tegaderm
it's breathable so you can use it to keep your sensor as well
Please can you expand on that one? What size? Where is it sourced from in the UK and at what cost?
