My mother has been using blucon for last 6 months and she is very satisfied . The best feature is alarms and now updated app has food insights where you can upload food image and share it with your caregiver.

I tried Blucon and is working fine for me for past one year. My boyfriend tried MM which worked for 5 months not more than that which made my mind to switch to Blucon. He also tried my Blucon which is working for him too. We both liked the Blucon and alarms are best and most important is it doesn't touch the skin.
Can not agree more. I know a number of people who bought MM after watching this video and ended up buying BluCon later. I am one of them.

@@dareenrose6550 Yes, you can use Huawei 2 watch. Any watch which has Play store on it will support a direct connection to NightRider without the phone. In fact you should check the watch before spending any money on that,

Hey Cathy, I tried both MM and Blucon but for me Blucon is best as it doesn't break apart and never give skin reactions. I tried their both version but was not happy and then I have to switch to Blucon. Though Blucon has a replaceable battery but I'm happy as I don't need to carry the charger and I don't need to worry about leaving it for long on charging. Blucon gives alarms and I can access my readings on apple watch without phone. My love ones can also follow my readings from any distance.
I love my Ambrosia NightRider which helps me a lot for monitoring my glucose values and update me every time with voice alerts when my glucose go up and down.

Thanks for sharing this video. What did you try first Blucon or Miao Miao? What personally you liked the most? Which one are you still using?
Real comparison between BluCon & MiaoMiao from a person who paid for both transmitters. I used them for a long time and here are my findings.
NightRider/BluCon sits on top of the Libre sensor so people don't get rashes on the skin while MiaoMiao(MM) sits on the side of the Libre sensor and people ended up getting rashes, many people stopped using MM for that reason. BluCon is round shaped while MiaoMiao sits on the side and takes more space. BluCon comes with ready to use apps for patient( LinkBluCon) and caregiver (FollowBluCon) and setup is simple while you need to find apps to use with MiaoMiao. You can also login to www.Ambrosia.Care to see how your glucose is changing with food, insulin, medication if you are using "Notes" feature of the LinkBluCon app. BluCon was first in the market and many people are still using the same BluCon since the beginning of 2017, you need to make sure you are using SONY CR2032 or some other good quality battery with BluCon else you may notice some issues, MM uses rechargeable battery. MiaoMiao was launched in 2018 and its life is generally 6-9 months as most of them cracks or battery stops recharging in that period.
BluCon is made in USA and costs145 USD while MiaoMiao is China made and costs 199 USD
Hi Mia, I am totally agree with your opinion. Device comes with one year of warranty so far. Early I have seen on their web it was for 1 month or so but for last one and a half year they are giving one year of warranty.

I am using Ambrosia Blucon second time. It is working perfectly fine with my Libre sensor. It sits on top of the Libre sensor so people don't get rashes on the skin as compared with MiaoMiao.
Also, there Linkblucon app and followblucon app are easy to use and we can follow readings with the help of followblucon app of our loved ones and I am using 3D armband with my blucon device, which is very much comfortable for me. Thankyou Ambrosia for this device.
Earlier I was using Miao Miao but had so many issues with that device. One of my Friend advised me to use Blucon device. Now I am using Ambrosia Blucon device and it is working great on my iphone and my apple watch too.
I was wondering if with M can I still get the Freestyle Libre reports and will my Doctor still be able to download my readings?? Great video, very helpful
Great Video thank you. I have been using Libre since 2014 (one of the first users) and I am interested in using it with Miaow Miaow. If I use M can I also use my Libre Reader to scan the disk? This is useful to get the reports from the Libre software on my laptop to take to the hospital for my 6 monthly checkup?

I have started using blucon from last 6 months and its working fine, i am very happy as its worth the money i paid for it.
Another great video Kamil 👍🏼. Like you we’ve tried both. Think we were very unlucky with Blucon as it just would not stay connected for more than a few minutes. Tried all the apps and even bought an android phone believing iOS was the issue. A very frustrating few weeks. I was lucky enough to get a response and a refund from Ambrosia but felt very much that I had to tread carefully when dealing with them. Not a pleasant customer experience at all.
M is simply in a different class. Over a month of using it and never had to reset yet. Stickers work very well for my son. Connection and re connection is instant and BT range is excellent. Company appears to be responsive and pro active. Design and feel is far superior too in my opinion. We love M 😁😍

can someone help me set up the alarm on Spike app for iPhone ? I have tried everything but the alarm still not come on if I go low or high . appreciate anyones help.

I use Libre with Blucon and it is one of the best CGM i use it 24/7, Also, Love to calibrate with the Linkblucon app.
So I’m seeing an issue with apps with the USA 14 day sensor. Any thoughts.
I tried many CGM devices like MM, Bubble and Blucon. MM and Bubble could not fit to my requirement. They both don't work in stand alone mode. MM broke a part during over heating on charging and had lot of disconnection. Bubble also has connectivity issues. Lastly I tried Blucon and it saved my money. My experience with Blucon was great and I recommend to many Diabetic groups.
Hi Jane, I am using Blucon for last month, and results is very much accurate. Also I check readings with Fitbit watch.

I am using Blucon and I am very satisfied with it. The most impotant part it beeps an alarm whenever my glucose falls in night and I take timely action. It concrete in size so wearing it is not a problem at all. So for me its great
hi i have the new blucon which is direct to the apple watch but as you say the blucon app is bad and i was using spike untill it stopped working ,is there an easy way to get spike working again on ios,i tried the one week thing but it seemed very complex and couldnt get it working any help would be great.

Can you tell me what do you find is the best attachment method for the MiaoMiao? I'm using the stickers that came in the box which are ok until I go swimming and then they pretty much fall off. Also tried to put a single sided tape over the sensor and MiaoMiao together but that falls off as well in the pool.
1. What wig glues did you try and which is best? Do they stay on after swimming and for the entire 14 days?
2. How does the 2 sided tape you linked to holds in the pool and does that stay on for the entire 14 days?

Initialy Kamil was working with Blucon Nightrider ,after that He worked for MM.Now He is working with Dexcom.
Now he will tell you people Blucon ,MM, Freestyle Libre all these are not reliable Dexcom is much better.
thx for the video and we ordered an M two weeks ago and it was delivered yesterday. Just one problem; the charging cable was missing :( so I contacted the service desk by mail. They asked me if the package was opened before arrival (no) but I haven't had any confirmation about completing the delivery (sending a cable) until now. What is your experience with after sales?

Hello, I am looking for a CGM for my daughter’s Libre 2. She is 7. And I want to be able to monitor her glucose levels while she is at school. I want to get her a smart watch so something should work with a smart watch. Which would you recommend?
I received my Blucon 2 days back. It works great with my Huawei2 watch directly. Also, it gives me alarms when my sugar goes High and low. It is a great product as compared with Miao Miao.

Hi. So you need your libre sensor and 1 transmitter ( blucon or miaomiao. Like i mentioned in this video, i prefer MiaoMaio. And then phone and smartwatch. App for android is called xdrip+ and needs to be downloaded from the web ( not in the Google Play for legal reasons). Just type in google and you will find it. And any smartwatch that is compatible. I would advise you to check out Libre Geeks group on Facebook or xdrip+ group for more information. I hope that helps 😄🙂😊

Nice comparison bro but my experience with MM was not pleasant. I switched to Blucon and have been using it for more than one year. It's working flawlessly. I don't feel it bulky at least it doesn't touch the skin like MM and this best I like in Blucon.

Some months ago I said that Ambrosia was in need of some good competition referring to their poor service, the very very long delivery time, their guarantee policy as well as the bad bluetooth connectivity and the weak batterycap. Yesterday I ordered my first MiaoMiao and I really hope that this device will not leave me in the lurch. For Ambrosia I hope this will be a stimulance to do better.

Martin Janssen Hoi Martin, De mm1 heb ik een jaar gebruikt en was uiterst betrouwbaar in de werking en de lange gebruikstijd van de accu. Momenteel gebruik ik de MM2. De gebruikstijd van de accu is aanzienlijk korter waardoor hij aan de arm moet worden opgeladen nu al na 12 dagen. Ook de MM2 vertoont verder geen kuren maar welnu door het volledig overlappen van de sensor het lastiger om de NFC scan uit te voeren welke ik graag ter controle gebruik met name bij hoge en lage waardes. De service van MM kan ik alleen beoordelen op de leversnelheid en die is goed. Voor het uitlezen gebruik ik xDrip+ met een goedkope Android (Samsung A20) in combinatie Spike op mijn iPhone die als controle werkt op de werking van xDrip+. Spike plukt de gegevens van mijn Nightscout site en waarschuwt als er geen gegevens binnenkomen zodat ik ook gedurende de nacht zeer veilig ben. Ik heb helaas geen ervaring met de huidige blucon transmitter dus daar kan ik geen uitspraak over doen.

sorry and one other question! Does the fact that you are using a transmitter between the sensor and the smartphone mean that smartphone model compatibility is less of an issue? I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Thanks!

Hey Nerdabetic... Do you know if there is now a way to receive CGM data on a smart watch without needing to be within range of your phone. Maybe using a LTE smartwatch paired with a phone? Cheers in advance....
He will not reply to your question because he promotes MiaoMiao to earn some cash. He don't care if his advice is making people buy a bad product. I wasted money on MM and later bought BluCon which works with Watch without the need for a phone. I am using Apple Watch with LTE. BluCon is the only device which directly connects to Apple watch, none of MM1 or MM2 works
Hi, thanks for this. We retired to France 3 years ago & get Libré here now on prescription, 53 years TDI est A1C 5.8% 40mmoL. My diabetes is illogical & that drives me crazy! Nocturnal hypos are a pig at the moment. Spoke to local médecin, about une pompe & he said no I was too well controlled-next stop is diabétologue (consultant). Have you tested pumps? Thanks again,

What batteries do you use with Blucon.My battery need to be change every 5 days
you can also use hydrofilm 10cm x 12.5cm which covers the sensors completley and keeps it water proof they are avalible on ebay in different sizes but this size is best

I am on my 5th Libre sensor, and have used the Blucon for night time use for the past couple of weeks. I am ready for the MiaoMiao for the reasons you mentioned. The Libre Freaks have an image for a holder for the M and Libre sensor. Have been using Glimp and Blucon apps. Will check out your video on Spike app. Thanks.

Very Nice video, I am wearing my Libre sensor on my arm and using Blucon device with my Libre. Also, their customer service is great they give prompt reply as I've experienced. Linkblucon app and Followblucon app are great to monitor and follow readings.
Hello, thanks for the info. great stuf. I'm new to this all and looking into MiaoMaio 2 reader. But what are the extra cost for those other things that go into you're arm which you need to replace every two weeks (battery unit) can't find any info on there website. Thank you.
Before buying it make sure it it is working with sensor which available in your country.also so many complains after 1 month battery not works properly .Blucon Will be better choice,it is perfectly working with all Libre sensors ,freestyle Libre,10 or 14 days ,freestyle Libre 2 & Freestyle Libre pro.
@@meenakshigupta6528I used MM and wasted $200. It never worked for me. Always had bluetooth connectivity and battery issues. Since it comes with an attached battery which can not be removed so no way to replace it, customer support never replied to my emails. I have to throw this garbage in the trash
What is the clear, adhesive bandage you're using under the M with your libre? Please post link if possible.

Do you have a contact for MM? I have bought an MM3 because my MM2 kept losing connection but it won’t bind no matter how many times I try and I can’t find an email or any contact details.

I lost $200 on MiaoMiao 1, I always had bluetooth connectivity and battery issues, customer service was no help, then my endo suggested blucon from a San Francisco based Ambrosia systems, never had any issues. I can use my apple watch also to see readings without the iPhone. No need to carry phone all the time just to check readings

Hi, like you I like MiaoMaio. I'm using it since last 3 weeks and it just works fine as it should be. For example when I move away from smartphone the Bluetooth will be lost (as expected!) but after returning near to smartphone the MiaoMiao will connects easily with smartphone. That is great!

I very much enjoyed your video. You provide an enormous amount of information. I'm going to ask my doctor for a FreeStyle Libre this Friday. Looking at the screenshots for the FreeStyle with the intricate up and down glucose charts in the wide Internet practice of referring to it as a "continuous glucose monitor" I assumed that it collected data every minute, 5 minutes, and uploaded it to the reader whenever you scanned it. I just found out today that is not true. I don't know how they get continuous solid line that looks like an EKG from like 3 data points (recommended by Abbott tech support), scans, over an 8 hour period.
I wouldn't buy a product that only had a 30 day warranty.
Have you ever considered (and I apologize for the life of me I can't remember the name) of the medical adhesive saran wrap that is used to cover intravenous IV tubes, pick lines, and a bunch of other stuff. A common an array of sizes and you can buy them 50 a time for like 5 or 10 bucks. Especially with the Blucon you wouldn't need any glue whatsoever. The peel and stick and are completely waterproof. So you have to to change one every 3 or 4 days. That would be acceptable. I'm really annoyed I can't give you an Amazon link - I will hit you up later with a link because I would really like your opinion.\

On our third Blucon which is now malfunctioning (first one was lost by my T1 son, 2nd and this went wrong), switching to Miao Miao

Thank you, so far looking good, been on 12 hours and no missed signal during the night at all, could usually count on at least 2 drops with Blucon even when not malfunctioning.
I would get MiaoMiao but far as I can tell, it still doesn't work with 14 day US?
Correct where as Ambrosia declared that they would release new App which would be compatible with US 14 Days Sensor.

How does M charge if you are wearing it 24/7? On blucon waterproof now, might look into M later when battery caps wear out (they sent 2 extra ones with blucon device) . . . maybe by then the M will update to have accessible restart button (is it a button or a pin-stick thingy like Blucon? always looking for paperclips!).
Hi. So you can take it off so it can charge and reapply it and readings will be recaptured and you won't lose any data. You can also try changing it when it is on but you would need to sit next to your charger. 😄

As I have used both devices I will share a few of my observations... In order of importance
1. Bluetooth reliability
The Miao Miao is extremely reliable in my tests with iPhone 7.
The Nightrider was not bad, but could quite easily lose connection, where sometimes you would be able to reconnect using the BluCon App but not always so frequently had to reset the device... not something you want to do in the middle of a busy day :(
2. Placement
The Nightrider is 10 gram and is placed on top of the sensor, and if used with tape or velcro it would be quite a thick bubble on your arm.
The Miao Miao is 7 gram and sits nicely next to the sensor, partly covering it but only enough to make NFC contact. And yes, leave no spaces in between.
The Nightrider does not come with any way to attach it, so you need some way to attach it... velcro or tape or a holder/armband
The Miao Miao comes with good quality stickers that both stick well to your arm and very good on the sensor too.
Overall, the impact of the sensor and device with the Miao Miao is much less than Nightrider.
One other advantage of the Miao Miao, it leaves the air hole on the sensor uncovered... not sure that makes much difference but it might be better for the skin and leave less irritation perhaps.
3. Waterproof
Very important detail, and yes there is a waterproof version of the Nightrider but it is 50 dollars more expensive than the normal one (110 vs 165 dollars)
Also Nightrider uses a cap to close and waterproof the device... The Miao Miao is fully closed and less risk for water to come into the device I would say.
4. Rechargable
The Miao Miao is rechargable by USB, this can even be done whilst wearing it and charging is very quick too.
The Miao Miao has more capabilities to indicate battery level. The Nightrider can only indicate that the battery is about dead, until then it will always show 100% !
5. Extra costs
In my experiences, Nightrider usually comes with quite a bit of extra cost (taxes) I think I paid like 25 euro extra.
Most Miao Miao devices appear to be shipped differently, resulting in no extra cost from what I hear (no guarantees on this...)
And to end, I agree with you the guys producing Miao Miao actually do listen to their customers... and improve based on feedback (stickers, making charging cables ordeable etc.)

I used MM earlier but had so many issues with it then my friend suggested my to use Ambrosia device, I received the device one week back and it is working good on my phone and I love to calibrate with their LinkBlucon app.
Are they water proof? I'm not gonna get anything that can't keep up with me

Nicely done. I have two concerns with both of these products. Essentially, and with no disrespect, these are hacks. To get these devices to work, the companies have to 'hack' to understand the format of the data coming off the Libre. Secondly, that data is sent unencrypted which allows this to happen. From a privacy perspective, my view is the data should be a)encrypted between the sensor and the reader/mobile app and b)the company should have an official developer program so they/we can track who has access to the data, etc. Having said that, I'm buying one as I too want real time data for myself. Again, nicely done. Your passion comes through and it is sincerely appreciate by, I'm sure, a lot of people globally.

Yes, US sensor will work and you should also be able to get about 14,5 days from them using MiaoMiao. I have made a video about extending Libre sensors if you want more information

Miao Miao translated from Chinese means cat and it’s literally meow meow. The double sided stickers are great for it, minus the fact that if you bump it, it stays attached to the Libre. I’ve lost two sensors this way and now have a scar on my arm from the first time it ripped out. 😞

The battery thing is rather interesting .. I was never able to use a coin or anything but I just press my thumb onto it and twist ... is not very secure so it pops right out ..also for about a month now I stopped having to reset it as often as Spike improved the connection somewhere and when i go back in range it reconnect.... I am still ordering a MiaoMiao soon anyway as I want to shower in peace.

I like the Blucon as I get a customer support in India. MM doesn't have any customer support in India except live chat on the web. Also, if I compare the features of Blucon with MM I found more features in Blucon like share with multiple caregivers remotely, readings on whatch without phone, food insight, syn data with google health and apple health.
The reset hole is not on the front to avoid water to enter there and ruin the miao.

I have been now with the Ambrosia Nightrider (the new waterproof version, with actually also two additional battery cover plastics) for a couple of days and was very excited at first. But at the end of the fourth day problems started as the indicated BG level remained at the same value constantly. Strangely, parallel the Abbott handset also stayed on a permanent 'LO'. (Maybe it is low on battery ? So I plugged it in for recharge now and will see.) Resetting the BluCon device several times did not help. Now I seem to have the choice to either set a new Libre Sensor or to go for the MiaoMiao. I think I will give 'the kitten' a try. : )

Why not just get dexcom after all that. With spike my battery lasts 6 months and I’m on week two and counting with the sensor. Thus cheaper than libre now

I have ordered the miaomiao after this video now I have a blucon and a miaomiao. and I really prefer the blucon. The miaomiao has a considerable portion (plastic) that stays against your skin. and in warm days, that is causing itching a lot. The blucon, on the other hand, sits on top of the libre, so it doesn't even touch your skin. so those itching problems don't exist. Be careful, I found so many issues with miao-miao, it's bluetooth connection just does not work with my galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 and X. Just wasted 199 usd in buying miaomiao

I have had my M for two years now, no complAints at all, love it! Only one slight bothersome thing, how do you remove adhesive, I find it real tough to clean every two weeks, but once it’s back on, I love it!!!! Would love the alarms and readings to go to a watch instead of my phone. I am in my sixties so am not good at always having my phone with me.
I will go with Blucon beacuse its user friendly and not very complicated.
