I live in the USA and I’m using freestyle libre. I know u use maiomaio transmitter so that is sends the glucose readings to your phone, but my freestyle libre has an app that does this. Do I still need a transmitter? And help is useful and thank you for doing these step by step videos. I’m 50 and had never heard about looping. I’m excited to try it in the very near future.
hey Thankds for the info. I am currently useing the 670g , I think this looping stuff looks like it could work better. im looking to get started on this. Trying to find a pump to work with it. Do you know if the cgm with the 670g works with looping ?
you should do a comparison between 670 and Loop. 670G has much more limitations - I think - cannot set BG target it is set for you at 120mg/dl - frequent calibrations - micro boluses by pump not aggressive enough. Some good things Hybrid closed loop - during sleep will not let you get hypos - and even out of AutoMode there is the "suspend on low" - you set that target. etc etc
I will be mentioning but i am currently not planning to do a full comparison. I do agree, Medtronic does not have some features like Loop has but suspend before Low ( always on) is just incredible.

Could you speak in your Q&A of the reliability of looping with a FreeStyle libre (and which third part apps work for it. Is it just ok to do it with Spike, or does Tomato and XDrip IOS works as well?) in comparison with Looping with Dexcom. Thank you!
