    I moved there almost 50 years ago, Del Mar on the beach, right next door to the Neptune Inn, just a few blocks to the north of Red Coconut...love your videos!!!

    You are so right, it IS a magical place!! I absolutely love Estero Island/Ft. Myers Beach! The last time I was down there, about 10 yrs ago, I made a promise to myself that’s where I’d retire. And it’s about that time. 😊
    So, I thank you for sharing this & reminding me it’s time to get in gear and get started! Much love & safe travels from Mid MO 🙏💕🇺🇸🍀💕🙏

    I LOVED the Red Coconut. Visited in the 90s with 2 almost grown kids and 4 yr old granddaughter. We arrived when the water was rough; and the baby looked out the window and said "Meme, the water is getting out of the pool." We were fortunate to stay several days in Feb while the rest of the family was in a blizzard in New York State.

    My husband & I retreat each May for 2 weeks to Estro Blvd., at Tropical Sands Resort since the mid 1980's! We love the south end and the white sandy beaches! And of course collecting shells! So peaceful! The Mound House is very interesting! It is located on Estro Blvd! Edison's home is also a wonderful attraction! During Xmas, children display their trees in the garden area! No charge in seeing that! The Banyan tree over the years keeps growing! I highly recommend this to all viewers! Love your site Robert! Blessings!

    A friend of mine from the Northeast was down in Florida decided to do some fly fishing, you no wading and casting. He found a place all to him self and caught a few fish let them go. He got to talking to a fella in a tackle shop, describing his quiet day of fishing out in the spot he found where nobody was at. And that fella said, "You were fishing there?" "People only fish that place by boat, to catch bull sharks!"
    My friend said, "I was seeing these shadows, some big, but I thought they were clouds, birds flying overhead."
    I thought of that story when you were in that murky water, way away from the shore, holding the camera, where no one else was.
    Nice camera, water proof and good sound.

    • @TravelingRobert
      @TravelingRobert  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm so dumb, I should have gone to Ft Myers this weekend, I was thinking on going, but I decided for Panama City Beach because it's around 4 hours from where I live. Ft. Myers looks smaller and more in tune to what I was looking for a relaxed weekend. Instead I went to PCB, even though it's at least 3 weeks before Spring Break, it is noisy at night. It was chilly on the morning as well.
