I watched all these videos and they gave a lot of good info for me to defend myself against a lawyer who tried to bully me into a 5 year restraining order for a girl who said I'd been harrasing her for 3 years. I would've agreed to it had I not watched your videos but instead I decided to fight it. I requested discovery and not only do our text messages show mutual friendly communication for that entire 3 years until the filing but also that she made numerous false allegations. I also found that she has an account with a unlisted number site and I'm pretty sure she's been texting herself to frame me. That lawyer was VERY scary in the first hearing and made countless accusations and character assassination's against me. Although I felt embarrased and angry I made sure to sit there and stay calm although I might have rolled my eyes. I did end up hiring my own lawyer just to be safe and it wiped out my saving. All that to say I have a question: Is there any recourse for this where the accuser would have to pay the legal fees of the accused? This is my first time ever in this situation but it seems like this process could just be abused and used as a form of harassments in itself

Who is accused and of doing what? It doesn’t sound like a crime took place at all unless there was a restraining order in place, in which case it is generally the obligation of the restrained party to leave.

What about if she was next to my car ( in front of Starbucks) I asked her to go away but she refused ?
