HI Ben and Leah - great to see you are still doing well and keeping positive. Strange times one minute you're leaving one minute you're not. one minute seems positive and movement freeing up then the next minute it's not. It's been a real emotional roller coaster. *What is Alaska thinking when she gazes at the Ocean's and Landscapes!?*
Has anyone else noticed this? (She does that quite often & quite intently!)

I do not wish to sound mean, but guys, you are together, and in a very interesting place. While I know this was not the plan, it is what it is right now, and soon, you will be able to move about again. I do understand your frustration, but I look around me here in Mexico and am so glad for our little walled compound here. So many folks are restricted to their homes with out Internet, access to a yard, (Or in your case a desert and cave!) and community stores are closing all over. Big stores are doing OK for now, but today they started circulating lists of businesses that are closing permanently, here and in Merida MX. The jobs and livelihoods lost will be something to deal with for years to come. Stay safe. Hug each other and Alaska for us and can not wait to see where you end up next!! Be Well and Safe Guys!!

Hey, Good to see how you have quickly adapted with this different style of living here in Morocco.. luckily those days we 're free to go out since there is a major low rate of contamination. and for the rubbish i think you did a good job by showing that!! because this is the only way for motivating the local authorities to do a quick solution and to prevent that none moral behavior from the locals who live down the cliff. I hope things get changed soon as you mentioned. Stay safe in Agadir

That said, the current situation is:
The central government divided the country into 2 groups the first group (includes the province where do u live now) the people can go anywhere at any time as long as they stay in the state borders, without a permit and only using your ID in ur case it's thr passeport.

    Clarification :
In Ramadan sexual intercourse between married couples is not allowed ONLY from sunrise to sunset .. Meaning during fasting hours.. After breaking the fast it is allowed (at night) .
Sorry for the ferry problem, but try to enjoy your time until the borders are open again, Tunisia officially opened it's borders yesterday so hopefully Morocco is going to do the same thing soon...

As I returned from my own little trip (Arctic circle) in Feb, our dog was suffering from "A" coronavirus. My wife had taken him to the vet. At this time, we were still free to move around all over but we had heard what was going on in Wuhan.
Sparky (the dog) was desperately ill - shaking and not eating or drinking (unusual - he is normally always hungry). Made me really scared and seriously wondered if he'd pull through. Luckily he did - it took a few days but he fully recovered, and now he's finishing off my ice cream lolly while I watch the latest Kombi adventure.

During ramadan, we fasted for 12 hours not 2 hours. The lady said "douze" (twelve in French), but with her accent it sounded like "deux". By the way, I'm from agadir, so I think that you're happy now that you can go out as you please now since the lockdown has been lifted in the city (although the state of emergency is still on).

God bless you guys! Glad you got to take a little hike! Yea, life is strange here in Connecticut, they are starting to re-open some businesses. So I'm 59 home now still recovering from the Covid 19, on oxygen, but getting better! My wife is at home working remote, thankfully she is able to get a paycheck. I'm self employed, and still paying operating costs, hoping to be well enough soon to do some work and get some income. Health first though! So our son still doesn't take this serious, it seems like, going out partying on his days off. Our daughter I think takes it a little more serious because of her newborn baby. Fathers day is coming up, Do we all get together, even with social distancing it leaves you wondering if the kids could be carriers of the virus. Could I get re-infected? So some friends are pretty much staying at home all the time-as they have health issues, that if they got the virus it would probably be fatal. Then other folks are out hiking, boating etc...Also protesters, but most safe with masks I guess. II haven't been out much except for medical. Also each state has different rules, some are relaxing more trying to economically recover. Crazy times! You guys have quite the journey there, I continue to keep you all in prayer. Make the best of it! You'll be able to tell your children what you been through, or who knows, make a movie! Hang in there! Praying for the rescue ferry, and embassy's to work in your favor! You guys take care! God bless!

Ben, don't know what is for next time and if you got out or not.
So, if you are still stuck in Morocco...write/email for a lost title in the state it is registered in on Boomerang and have it sent to your parents. May be able to do that online. The British Embassy should be able to do a power of attorney for you (if Britain requires it) to do a title change. You may want to have the letter if snail mail, notarized.
Give your parents the specific ability to handle the registration and licensing of Boomerang. That way you still retain a title in country. You could have the title switched in Britain and your parents put the vehicle in your name, send the plates, if not to you directly, to the British Embassy for pick up. It may have to go to the address it's registered at but, I don't think so. Depends on the state. Actually, not a bad idea to have that paperwork near someone you trust on these adventures anyway in case they get lost or stolen, if that's not done already.
Most states will send it out rather quickly (please tell me it's not titled in California), I've had a new title in hand in less than a week. Still, I'm in Montana and life is a slower pace but, official things move quickly. US military persons abroad use to get a green plate with US on it. They are no longer allowed to use the "US" plates they use to get when they registered cars in Europe. They are European plates. It's a safety issue. I had no idea you had US plates or I'd have warned you before. You need to get those US plates off that vehicle. There have been incidents, even in Europe.
Yes, dogs and cats get coronavirus shots. Have for years, different strain. Don't worry about people petting Alaska and having the virus. She's out in the sun. UV lights will kill viruses almost immediately. I travel with a UV wand and use it in hotel rooms. Just something I learned when I owned a medical cleaning company. UV lights are used in air exchange systems in some animal shelters and hospitals here in the US. They should be required on cruise ships making port in the US. Also, some hospitals have UV lighting in their operating rooms that they flip on for cleaning. Flip off for the cleaning staff to go move things around and flip them back on. Then they will go wash everything down at the end of the day. UV light completely destroys a virus's ability to replicate. Same with bacteria.
There is a US Consulates office in Casablanca, Morocco. It might be worth a call just to see if there is a rescue ferry for US citizens to get out, or if they can help you with those plates. Perhaps they run with the British or European ferries in some joint effort. Or, have two leaving the same day. Long shot but you never know.

A friendly advise if you take... don't torture your selves with useless masks at least in your own car :) please have a research on what says the doctors who claims the covid19 is not as much scary thing as W.H.O. spreads trough mass media of all countries... Just to have an opinion you know.. to widen the perspective on it...

And in Portland Oregon, USA... after getting suited up with a mask, face shield, gloves, and sanitizer in hand... its time to go grocery shopping... Did I forget anything?... Then navigating the store isles and trying to stay 6 feet away from those with no boundaries... there is the checkout, from behind the mask and trying to communicate warmly from in front of a clear barrier... and then packing the car... only to return home and start the real work of washing everything purchased... before it is put away... ugh it's exhausting... and its really just the beginning... it's pretty amazing with all the possible germs, in the world, on our supplies we all haven't gotten sick before this... Anyway, I hope you make it out of Morocco soon, and home... where you complain, like the rest of us, from the comfort all that is familiar... good luck
