- On a day with wild wind and rain we headed to the woodland armed with tarps to battle the precipitation. The weather had warned us there was 100% chance of rain so we rigged up a large outdoor area to stay dry. I went camping old school style using the canvas lavvu and took the coleman lantern for light. Lee joined us from Black Mountain Adventures in his Hilleberg Soulo.

Enjoyed this. Lots of chatter, humour and just enjoying times with friends. It's funny how friends can say anything to one another and laugh. If ya burn the mantels before you put fuel to them, they will last more than 1 use.
Simply. Light them on fire without fuel turned on. Let them burn off. Then turn fuel on and light the lantern. Im also talking bout coleman mantels.

The lantern mantels always tear a little even right after they are first lit when you change them. Always try them first before replacing because they usually work fine with small tears otherwise you will be changing them all the time. I always take plenty of spares along when I use mine.

@@MrWildWales I've recently been reading about the material. One bloke in the US wore a long sleeve t-shirt made out of merino wool for 10 days and got 4 friends to sniff his pits... which would be fatal in a Primark special ... they couldn't smell anything unpleasant!! It also wicks away moisture off your skin better than any fleece type garment. Have a look on Keela's site for merino stuff... they have a sale page where the stuff is only a bit expensive rather than pretty expensive. I bought a long sleeve green undershirt for 24 quid, which is not too bad if the stuff performs well. cheers for the vids, tidy job mush.
I've just had a look at that website I haven't seen it before. They've got some nice looking jackets 👌. Wool is a great underused material I think
