I just picked up a Turnigy 1700mAh 2S 6.6v LiFePo4 battery pack for my airplane receiver ...I was very confused on how to get this battery charged correctly or even what the correct operating voltage was supposed to be, but watching your video was a tremendous help !!! ...thanks buddy...
Whew! Perfect explanation. I have the Venom Pro 2, which is like half of that charger, but couldn’t figure out how to get to the LiFe setting? Thanks for making such a clear cut video!
Thanks for the great explanation. I struggled for quite a while trying to figure out how to get my Venom ProDuo charger into the LiFe mode from the LiPo mode. I wish that the manual would show such things, but you're pretty much left to figure it out on your own.
This video was extremely helpful!!! It saved my hide! Thanks! It would be nice if the manual that came with the charger was this easy, and not requiring you to practically be an electronic engineer.
You inadvertently answered a question I’ve had for months about how to charge High Voltage LiPos!!! Looks like it’s in that menu with LiPo/LiIon/LiFe/LiHV! I’ve got a few High Voltage LiPos that I’m afraid to use because I haven’t been able to find any info on charging/balancing/storing them.
So I’ve got 5 balancing chargers, and NONE of them have the LIHV option in that programming menu you were going through. Awesome... I got all excited for nothing :( Am I really going to have to buy ANOTHER balance charger to properly use these HV LiPo batteries?!
My chargers don’t have that option there in the menu for LiHV. It looks like that would charge them to 4.3v per cell vs. 4.2, which is almost half a volt difference in a 4s LiPo.
Hey Gary, I’m trying to plan a road trip from Ohio to New York to pick up the Raminator and it would be really cool to meet up with you and John and the rest of the LI crew, maybe even have a small bash session. Do you have any interest in that? Shoot me a message at Tulo52@*** if so, it would be really cool if we could make that happen! Thanks, -JP
Thanks Gary! Every damn time I go to charge my LiFe I forget how to change that setting! By the way I always disconnect the charge lead before the balance lead too. I don’t know why, just seems right to me! Have a good weekend brother
New to Lipos and LiFE Batteries... And I have a beginner questions .. How come my Life Battery is 6.6v but the charge finishes as 7.2V.. I watched your video twice as I thought I was going crazy. But your video does the same as my charger LifE set up. Thanks
Each LiFe cell has a NOMINAL voltage of 3.3V. A fully charged LiFe cell is 3.6V, and a fully depleted LiFe cell is 2.5V. so, in this case, my battery is a 2 cell each at 3.6 x 3.6 = 7.2 and at normal voltage, it is 3.3 x 3.3= 6.6 it is very confusing I know lol hope that helps
Hi I have a question. I actually bought Li-Fe (2S) and charged like that. but my battery charger doesn`t stop until the voltage is more than 7.2v. So my battery has swollen. could you expain how to set my charger to stop charging by 7.2V.
What I'd like to know is: why did the battery voltage drop significantly from 7.2V full charged to 7.0V (92%) in a matter of minutes? My LiFe ("Lie-Fee") battery pack does the same thing, if not worse, going back down to 6.6V My battery could be bad, but how about yours? I am assuming yours is relatively new.
Hey brother, I recently purchased the same charger, I purchased high voltage batteries for my RC and when I go to charge them I get a low voltage warning. Do you know why that’s happening ? I have it on LiHV Balance and it’s still giving me a low voltage alert
Hey man. I just discovered your channel and immediately subbed. Do you happen to have an Instagram or Twitter that I can PM you? I have a few questions about life charging that I cannot figure out. I'm using the Spektrum s2100 and am beyond confused with the correct settings. Thanks!

Thanks a bunch! I forgot my transmitter charger, and this was a lifesaver out in the field! Many thanks

I knew my venom would be able to charge these batteries i just didn't know how to Thanks for making this video hero.
Excellent video! Now i know how to charge my LiFe batteries. You're a life saver bud, thank you again.

Awesome video! Perfectly explained without nerding out😁
Used it again today Gary🤣
Glad I put this in my saved videos!

lol thanks, bro yeah Believe it or not I come back to this video also because I forget all the time
Best video for Venom duo/quad!
Great video! Everything was explained very well , and the editing was very professionally executed. Keep up the great work!

Foundry RC Thanks .. appreciate that. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to blow up ..
@@FoundryRC great explanation, but I think you meant each 2S cell is 3.6, so 3.6 + 3.6 = 7.2 not 3.6 x 3.6 = 7.2 ...right ?
@@garyvale8347 lol yeah 🤦🏻♂️
Great Job brother and nice charger.
What happened to the update video?
Great video Gary, very helpful

Excellent video...thanks alot!!
Great Info Playa!!!!
Hello. Can it be used to charge and discharge battery cells in hybrid cars such as Toyota Prius? Thanks🌷
Sorry I do not think so
Nice job Gary I needed this. Or just stop by and drink a MAVEM Brandy 🥃with me and show me in person Zeeeeeaah Na Cafe!
