Hi, this video was very helpful and sweet. Your kitties seem pretty relaxed and happy. I'd love to buy these hammocks, but I'm unsure if they'll stick on laquered wood. Got to say that I'm relieved you posted today and that everything seems to be okay, I tend to worry a lot about pets and their owners in this Covid-19 crisis.
Thanks for your concern! Yes it’s pretty hectic these days but at least I’m home with my cats! And yes you’re probably right, wood is probably too porous for it to stick unfortunately :(
I have two kittens. This video is just what i need. I am a new cat #hyumom so i have yet to learn how to better care for my babies. 🙇♀️ Thanks for sharing your stories.
Thanks for your comment! I started creating these videos myself because I couldn't find any decent information available. So I'm very glad you found it useful!
Thanks for this video! I want to foster to find out if I'm ready to be a good cat mommy and always worried if a 38 square metre flat with a balcony is too small but now I'm pretty sincere it's more than enough. I try to give them opportunities to walk in the heights too, so it should be fine. Thanks again! And much fun with your furry babies 🤗
Coucou, mec! Je suis Toro! I'm from the states but living in Spain for the past 6 years and dude I am finally gonna be living on my own in an apartment top floor which here is considered an Attic! it has the added bonus of having a terrace and dude I am going to adopt 2 cats that really need a home! A mom and her kitten! So she's two years old and they found her when she was giving birth. Long story short...They can't keep her and will let her loose in the cat colony the city has. However, the current foster told me that she is so kind and gentle that she will prob not make it very long outside with the colony cats. This made me very very sad and everyone was adopting her kittens and no one wanted her. So, seeing as how I am going to be living on my own and have always loved animals(and still do) I decided to give her a forever home! I want her to feel as comfy as possible so I also decided to adopt one of her kittens too! I can't wait to post a video and share too! Thanks for inspiring me and giving me ideas bro! Take care, man!
Oh now you’ve convinced me that it is possible to have a cat in my studio flat. I’ve always wanted a Siamese and heard they’re perfect as indoor cats. Now to convince my boyfriend... 🌝
Siamese are great indoor cats! I have one. However, they do tend to be pretty high strung and get bored easily. So make sure they have plenty of interactive toys and things to climb and such
I love the concept of the suction cup hammocs for the cats, I am worried about them just being held by the cup tho. I keep thinking about those suction cup bathroom hooks that keep falling down every few weeks. I'd hate to get some and for that to happen and injure or freak out the cat. Has that ever happened to you, is there anything you do to make sure they stay safe?
The suction cups are super strong! You just make sure that there’s no dust on the surface or the suction cups itself by wiping it with a damp cloth and it’ll never come off unless you really want it to. Usually these hammocks have more than one suction cup so even if one pops out, the hammock is still stable enough to support the cats!
Thank you so much! You're right, there is more than one cup. I've just never seen one in real life so i was worried, just ordering stuff on the internet has me a bit worried.
Hi! Thanks for your comment! That’s the most common complaint about cat owners with super active cats in a studio! Start scheduling a hefty play session before your bed time - make them super tired. With consistency they’ll learn your schedule! Read more about most optimal times to play with your cats here: monsieurtn.com/how-often-to-play-with-your-indoor-cat/
Haha I have to play with the active one before bed and he is fine for six hours then he decides we’ve slept enough. If we sleep I’m too much he will meow like we’ve hurt his feelings so we both get up to play with him
If you don’t have much trouble sleeping than you should take some melatonin, it doesn’t make you sleep like a sleeping pill, it improves your sleep, so you can still stay up if you take it btw it’s non addictive, if your cats doesn’t make loud thuds it will probably help you out a bit more
I want to get two cats in my small apartment, but I have no smooth walls for suction cup highways, nor can I drill into my walls. I have that horrible 'bubbly' paint that nothing sticks onto.
Your cats are just beautiful, but how many do you have? I couldn't tell, but they were everywhere! Lol! Are they only indoor cats? I love that exercise wheel! I'm wondering what the litterbox situation is like.
Thanks for your comment! It sometimes does feel like that hahaha (cats being everywhere) I have 4 cats right now in my small apartment. They're indoor cats yes so I wanted them to have something to walk or run on inside, so the wheel was necessary for me even though it's quite large. I use 2 litter boxes for the 4 cats. They have a good relationship with each other so they don't have a problem sharing the litter boxes.
love these ideas. I live in a studio apartement and want to adopt a cat, but a lot of rescue centres only adopt to owners with garden space which I don't have. Can a cat be happy solely as an indoor cat?
I truly believe that indoor cats can be as happy as outdoor cats. I always think about what I can bring outdoors that I can bring indoors - as to get the best of both worlds: a stimulating environment (places to climb, plants, places to sunbathe, etc.) and yet safe and secure (from cars, predators, or other harmful factors!). My cats are healthy, they play well with each other, and are very affectionate. I always observe them closely, so I believe they are happy! For more information: monsieurtn.com/keep-cats-in-one-room/

I want to have one kitty but Idk bc I’m going to live in a studio apartment:( and it would probably also have a balcony so I’m worried that If I left the window open for some air, the cat may fall :( any recommendations for the balcony thing?
An easy way to actually do it is to put a large cat cage/enclosure out in the balcony! It prevents them from jumping off and they can chill out there until you're ready to take them inside! Just be sure to measure the cat cage/carrier to make sure it fits there!
Hi! tn, that is really great that you have all these cat accessories for making your space more cat friendly! Also, thats cool you enjoy your cats, and they are happy, even though you all have only a small space. I been taking care of a stray the past 2 months and its been great for me to have a cat again, as its been a real long time. Can you tell me the name or type of the round water bowl fountain that one of your cats was drinking from, that was on the lower metal shelf, thanks, i want to get one for my cat. :)
Hi! Unfortunately the fountain is only available here in Korea (where I live) however most water functions the same! Just buy the design that you like the best!
I appreciate your comment! My water fountain I bought here locally in Korea - I tried to look for something similar on amazon but it doesn't exist. However, all water fountains generally work the same way - just get the design that you like the most!
Hey there! loved the video, very informative! i have a question though, i can see that your computer and work area is open to the cats, have they damaged any parts of the computer? if not, how can i make sue that they dont chew, break or damage my computer? Thanks!!

@@monsieurtn I tried to train our kitty to not do certain shit but my GF won't commit to anything and always just gives in to the cat.. She even went so far as to place the cat on top of a dresser that was off limits (and the cat knew that she wasn't supposed to be there) effectively undoing all the training since now the cat thinks it is ok to be up there and her "logic" was to "show the kitty what's up there so she's not curious about it and feel no need to be up there.." I shit you not.. That was her brain flexing on me, despite telling her No!!! Don't put her up there dammit! She just went and did it anyway and now it's a constant struggle and the cause of alot of distress for me knowing that I had the cat trained to stay off there through consistent training for months and it's all undone so easily as to render all of my effective efforts in vain now. Honestly it's infuriating - mainly towards my GF since it's not the cats fault that she gave it the green light to jump up there 😠🤬😡
this video was really helpful, thanks a lot! i have one question though, how important are windows for cats? i'm planning to move into a studio apartment soon, but i'm worried about the view from the windows since you can't really see the road, only the windows of the opposite building. i have a single cat so that actually doubles my worries :(
Thanks for your comment and great question! Just having a window to peer out of is enough for cats. Cats don't have the ability to see very far but they a very wide field of view to catch any movement that's going on!
Thank you for the tips! Helpful no matter now much space you have. I have some of those round beds with suction cups, and the cats love them. But I noticed sometimes if they're having a clumsy moment, they can flip the bed part right over because it isn't actually attached. Have you had this issue, or any tips to avoid it happening? Thanks!
Ah yes, sometimes they'll do that - a good way to keep them on is to actually make a hole and cable tie them to the rods. However, it's generally not too much of a problem unless the cats get super rowdy!
Hi! Thanks for your comment! The cat wheel I purchased is a cat wheel I got here in Korea. I tried to look for other cat wheels on amazon and other popular shopping sites but not many are available - sorry! When you sleep - you can just tilt the cat wheel and lean it on the wall so that it doesn't move. Most new cat wheels these days made in Korea actually have a lock! Check my website for more information: monsieurtn.com/complete-cat-wheel-guide/#Cat_Wheel_Tips_and_Hacks
That's the cat wheel! They make a lot of different versions in Korea. If you're wondering about it, I wrote a guide about cat wheels here: monsieurtn.com/complete-cat-wheel-guide/
Definitely! As long as you provide the things a cat needs (providing a lot of access to vertical spaces), they'll be perfectly happy inside an apartment! Maybe this article can help: monsieurtn.com/keep-cats-in-one-room/

Hi! What suction cups stuff have you tried? My suction cup perches have never fallen off once but the hammock ones for some reason every few months one of them pops off. Usually it just takes wiping with a damp cloth (helps with the sticking power) and cleaning off the dust to stick it back up.
@@monsieurtn I brought the bunk bed perch for two cats, and that plastic one like a 🌙 don't remember the brand; got both off the "Wish" website....I did clean the window 1st., and dampened the suction cups as well, but 2 no avail.
@@leilal8053 I totally understand the frustration. I had one product back in the day that one of the cups didn’t stick for some weird reason. Anyways I just threw it away but kept the suction cups that worked well to use as spares just in case. It seems that some suction cups stick really well and some do not. I’m not exactly sure what makes a good cup. Anyways thanks for your comment! I hope you find a way to get them sticking again!
It's definitely not too small! I think it's very possible to have a cat in that size of apartment (or even two!). Sorry for the late reply I somehow missed this comment!
tinne scheunis I’m preparing to adopt a 7 yr old “rehome” kitty. Her owner says she’s really sweet, but doesn’t get along with their other cats or dogs. My apt lease limits us to one pet only, so I hope she’ll be happier here. As a child, I always had a kitty, but haven’t had one since. At 65+, I feel like a new kitty mom! There’s so much to do to get my apt ready so it will be kitty safe, interesting, comfortable and CAT PROOF! In addition to many other things, I have to decide what to do with my breakables and jewelry (now displayed on open shelves and dresser top.) With limited space, it’s going to be a challenge...
Hi! Thanks for your comment! I wrote an article about where I placed my litter box and why I chose that exact place here: monsieurtn.com/where-should-you-put-your-litter-box/
I dont have an apartment and i want a cat but my dad is slightly allergic and im planning that if i get one, to keep it in my room. my room the same size as an studio apartment minus the bathroom and bedroom areas. would it be ok to keep my cat in my room as long as i giev it proper attention and enrichment?
I believe that's it is possible as you said - as long as you give the cat attention, and have the proper preparations. This article might help: monsieurtn.com/keep-cats-in-one-room/ Thanks for your comment!
Hi! Thanks for your comment, I adopted these cats not because I wanted more cats but because otherwise, it would have been death for a couple of them or abandonment to the outside city where they face the elements, cars, and abuse. I just worked within what I was capable to do and they’re healthy, they play, little to no negative behavior habits and they’re very affectionate. In time, I will definitely get a larger place but I create these videos to help people in similar situations. Thanks for worrying about them!
Love the idea of the suction cup hammocks onto walls. I wish I could drill into my walls and make a cool "highway" for them, but as I'll be renting for the forseeable future, that's not an option!
That’s exactly the case with me, as I am renting and cannot drill any holes. So this is a really great alternative for that!

Hesitant about the suction cup hammocks. But they appear that they work for this guy with cats jumping on them and everything!

@@monsieurtn Good tip, thank you!
Would a large wall mirror be a good place for a suction cup perch?
That would be absolutely a good place to put it! Just make sure the mirror is secure and won't fall down!
What kind of cat wheel did you purchase? How do you keep them from using them when you want to sleep?

@@monsieurtn thank you.
Where did you get the hamster wheel thingy??!👀👀
That's the cat wheel! They make a lot of different versions in Korea. If you're wondering about it, I wrote a guide about cat wheels here: monsieurtn.com/complete-cat-wheel-guide/
Is it okay to have a cat inside in an apartment all the time? I live on 2nd floor
Definitely! As long as you provide the things a cat needs (providing a lot of access to vertical spaces), they'll be perfectly happy inside an apartment!
Maybe this article can help: monsieurtn.com/keep-cats-in-one-room/
Hello! I have been looking everywhere for a car wheel like yours and can’t find one anywhere. Did you build yours or buy it somewhere?
Hello! This wheel is made locally here in Korea unfortunately!

Oh you’re in Korea. I was wondering how you were able to have more than the 2pet limit, like most apartments here in the states. Lucky!!!
Where can I buy that beautiful cat bed?
Hi! Thanks for your comment! I bought the cat bed here in Korea :( - I tried to find it in other online stores but couldn't, sorry!
Where is the litter box?
How to bring them on first day of moving into new apartment lol
what's the diameter of your cat wheel?
Can u tell me do I spay my cat?so it don't rush out & then get pregnant by a stray
Thanks for your comment! There are spay and neuter centers that you might have to search for. Of course, also your local vet will do it too!
I have NEVER found ANY suction cups that actually STICK.....some fall off and others won't stick at all! It's so FRUSTRATING!
I want to adopt a cat but I live in a 270 square feet apartment. Do you think my place might be too small?
It's definitely not too small! I think it's very possible to have a cat in that size of apartment (or even two!). Sorry for the late reply I somehow missed this comment!
I love cats but why do you have so many? ;)
Because cats don’t do good on their own and once you have one you can’t stop 😂
tinne scheunis I’m preparing to adopt a 7 yr old “rehome” kitty.
In addition to many other things, I have to decide what to do with my breakables and jewelry (now displayed on open shelves and dresser top.) With limited space, it’s going to be a challenge...
where do you put their kitty litters?
Hi! Thanks for your comment! I wrote an article about where I placed my litter box and why I chose that exact place here: monsieurtn.com/where-should-you-put-your-litter-box/
@@monsieurtn nice! Thank you very informative! I also checked out the pine litter article, sharing it with family. Thanks again!

I want to adopt a cat but i am scared if i open my front door my cat will run away lol
Hmmm , how they dont play with things!!!!????
As long as they have enough play and enough environmental enrichment, very rarely do they mess around with human stuff!
@@monsieurtn thanks !
PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY KEEP YOU UP ALL NIGHT.
I m sorry but it's like a prison for them where they will play where they can walk openly.like 4 cats not possible.one was much better.
Thank you.
