Hi Ron. Bat Country highlighted your vids to me. He was right - you are really worth listening. I’m a father of two daughters and so much of your story resonates. You have courage to share this way. It helps. Keep it up if you can. 🙏
@gilesparker2369 wow, thanks man! Bat country is such a great channel. I am glad that my story resonates with you. I think God gave me 3 daughters as some sort of cosmic joke, or it was Karma or something. But I'm sure glad he did. I'm gonna keep making content even if only one person watches because that just might be the life that it helps save. Thank you for watching! ODAAT!
@@DisappointingyourdemonsThank you! I love the name of your channel! I can totally relate.💯 If you’d like, I can share your videos out with 1 million people in recovery groups.❤️🩹 I’m sure your videos will help many people. Let me know if you’d like.👍 #HappySoberSaturday!!💞 PS My name is Cindy.
@CMoore8539 if you think the vids would be helpful you can feel free to share it out to whoever. This channel isn't monetized. I am simply doing it in the effort to help save lives and let people know there is a way out. But for the grace of god...
I’m glad you addressed this topic. I have similar issues and try to navigate between self-pity, taking an honest inventory and taking responsibility. Hope you can talk more about how you manage to “let go of the past” while acknowledging the wrongs you have done.
@PeterZ873 thank you for watching and welcome to the channel! It wasn't easy to let go of the past at first but the first part of it is realizing that what's done is done and making every effort to never let it happen again. It's ok to forgive yourself. ODAAT!
What's up, Ron. For some reason I am not getting notifications on your vids. I was going to ask you this morning when you were going to put a new one out. When you don't have a topic that is a topic. Just ramble. It's helping everyone including yourself. Good stuff, as usual.
@ShadesOClarity really? I just put it out this morning because, as with everything else down here, the internet is shit. Yeah, I feel like I tend to ramble anyways so what's the difference hahahah. I'm gonna start trying to put out more content. Weird that you're not getting notifications. Thanks for watching.
Once again, you're hitting so much stuff that doesn't get said. You beat yourself up a lot too, and I think you probably have a lot of people telling you that you shouldn't do it. I think that's important though. It's good to have regrets. They show you that you've changed. It sucks so bad to look someone you love in the eye every day and a bit of you always knows how bad you hurt them. How do you handle that?
@_BatCountry hey man, thanks for watching! It means a lot. We are our own worst critics and everything we do is magnified in our own heads. While it has gotten so much better, I still beat the crap out of myself some days with the guilt bat. But I have to tell myself that it was being under the influence that made me do those things, it wasn't really me. That's why they call it being under the influence. Like my therapist said about guilt and regrets, they are a good thing. It means we feel and feeling is what makes us human. As far as looking my loved one in the eye and knowing that I hurt them deeply, I own it, I apologize and try to make amends for it and promise myself that moving forward I won't do those things again. Sometimes even that isn't enough to salvage things but I have to own that too and try like hell to not do it to anyone else. We can only build a brighter future. ODAAT!
😍😍😍
