      Hey @eRideHero, Got mine last monday, was riding it a couple of days already, one question? is the battery meter in the cockpit and the battery percentage not accurate? talked to my seller bout this and mentioned that fact and just check the Voltage instead. i just wanted to know if the case was same with your model too

    • @eRideHero
      @eRideHero  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sleeplessnacht Hi congrats on the purchase. This actually comes down to how batteries fundamentally work and is perfectly fine (and quite common in most scooters). The display typically bases the remaining battery % on voltage. When you accelerate/go full power, the voltage drops. When you slow down again, the voltage goes back to normal. Therefore, the accurate battery % reading only really shows when you're going slow/not throttling at all. Hope that makes sense.

    I just discovered your channel and I am very impressed with your reviews. You provide a lot of practical information that addresses several of my questions. Your long term reviews also give a good indication of how a scooter will hold up over time. It is good to hear that the build quality is good. The appearance is great. I really like the 360 degree lighting. My only unanswered question is with respect to parts availability. Thank you for this video!

      Thank you so much for the kind words! Means a lot. Spend literal weeks on every single review (which is the reason I don't upload that often). I always try to cover as many miles as possible, not just unbox, ride once and review, like so others do.

      As far as parts go, that's always an unpredictable dilemma. But Punk have been around for some time (previously called Hero), so I doubt they'll close doors in any foreseeable future.

    I stumbled upon this video after debating between this scooter and another few I’ve considered like the updated Ausum Gallop & Leopard pro as my first dual motor scooter.
    This one is definitely lighter and has regen brake. but the other mentioned bring more bang for your buck like brakes/ suspension and power, not to mention tracking and nfc card for security.
    What does this have for security features and how do the components handle over time you currently have it?
    Love this video.

      I haven't had the chance to test the Ausom models, so I can't make direct hands-on comparisons, but the Punk Rider Pro continues to hold its own for me. It's still really comfortable and no compoment issues for now. As far as security features go, the only thing I find useful personally is tracking (which can be done with AirTags cheaply on any scooter). Yes, an NFC card will make it less likely that your scooter is stolen, but I'd never leave a $1K scooter unattended without a heavy physical lock, not even for 5 minutes. Hope that helps - I hope to test Ausom models in the future.

    ERIDEHERO - did you tweak settings via the app for range tests? I have this and an ausom gallop.
    I’d love to replace them both with a scooter that had the looks and regen of the punk, suspension and decent off roading of the gallop with as energy dense battery I can get.
    New Apollo phantom 2.0 seems close. There’s so many options I’m sure I’m missing

      Hi Shiv, Thanks for signing up on the website. Hope you find the tools useful. Well, as an owner of both, e-scooters are way more fun and practical portability-wise. E-bikes generally win in range and safety, though. 🙌

      Seems very popular over there, yes. Interesting that they'd be able to adjust the pole height-definitely not a default configuration. Thanks for the kind words! Happy riding.

    How does it compare to Apollo City 2024?
    I mean other than specs, which one would you personally buy and use

    • @eRideHero
      @eRideHero  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If price doesn't matter, I pick the City for the better suspension. Bang for buck, I take the Punk with the coupon.

      @@eRideHeroSeeing other reviews on this model they really showed how poor the stopping power of the regenerative brakes compared to how terrific they were on Apollo’s scooters. Can one use the app to adjust the strength of the regenerative brakes for the Punk Rider Pro?
