Pepe always performed at Arsenal. The performances on the pitch as well as his stats in comparison to other signings, were good. I always wondered if it was him not putting a 100% effort into his training or the relationship between him and the managers.
I think he was too relaxed as a player and thought he had arrived.

For me Pepe was good, Arsenal wasn't patient with him. The coach didn't trust him too. Pepe was changing a game all times he entered in the field. If he was English player, they let him stayed for many years to the club.

Calafiori will be a good signing for Arsenal - but as a Gooner I know that this deal is far from done. Arsenal will pay the money but will want to pay it in installments - maybe equally over 3 years to reduce the cash flow burden. Bologna will want a big chunk up front...and so these negotiations will drag on...and all the while other clubs like ManU or Chelsea could come in at anytime and match the transfer fee while bettering the payment schedule Arsenal will offer.

For me personally I don't think we (Arsenal) need a defender right now. We actually need an attacker and also a defensive midfielder like Thomas for replacement. It is habitual to see Arsenal don't usually solve problems in the market

Pepe was his own worst enemy.. Guy was too predictable with his one trick pony style plus he always held on to the ball too long and overestimated his ability thinking he was Messi .. He cost us many games as opponents took the ball off him on countless occasions and scored from it… He has a Victim mentality
