Cashmerette has a lovely course on sewing your own pattern block. I have it from their club membership, but I think you can buy it separately. It comes with lots of videos to help you through the process.
Hi Katrina, your make 9 is well balanced and achievable. I 3wp3cially love the vintage gored skirt, so lovely how it falls. Your knitting g project will be lovely when finished. I find some patterns aren't really clear instructions and it's easy to make mistakes. I hope you're able to out a bit of focus time to it and get it restarted. It'll be so worth the effort. Cool idea to try natural dying. I tried that once with cold black tea which was quite easy and alot of fun. Good luck withthe bodice block. I guess start with one that fits you already and go from there. All the best with it all. Happy sewing ❤❤ G.
Thank you Deb. Hopefully this year is more favourable of creating. I am looking forward to getting into a routine that allows me more selfcare time. Thanks so much for being here❤❤
Hi Katrina, beautiful pattern choices for your make nine. Can't wait to see them made up. I have th Mabel pattern as well and want to make that up (the whole Frida Kahlo vibe inspires me). I have decided to also make my own bodice block. I have had a couple of goes at a basic T block and it's a combinations of numbers and lines that magically come together to give a bodice! But need to move onto a proper bodice. I have huge issues with fitting (breast cancer surgery with no reconstruction) and I just decided it would be easier to draft a block which I can then adapt rather than not be able to wear the styles I love (or feel I couldn't wear them). Anywho... have a great week and see you next week!
@@JulieH1958 Hi Julie. Isn't it so annoying when these beautiful patterns just don't fit. I have a vintage book on how to do it. Lots of measurements. I'll have to put aside some time to make it. So lovely to hear from you. I hope your doing well ❤❤
Lovely items on your Make 9 Katrina. I'm looking forward to seeing them made uo. I love your idea about the bodice block. It's something I would like to do as I'm very short and often don't know the best place to shorten blouses and dresses.
Great choices for Make Nine 2025. I have been working on my list too. I have changed several too. It’s tough to narrow the list. 🤔😊 I hope to have my video up this weekend. Happy Sewing!
I look forward to seeing what you make. I've noticed we like a lot of the same fabrics only you actually sew them up 😆😆. Hopefully I find the courage to cut into these expensive fabrics this year. Thanks so much for watching ❤❤
Hi Katrina, have you ever had your patterns printed on A0? I just got some done for the first time by The Dahlia Sewciety . They arrived today and I'm super happy with them. And it's only $5 per A0 sheet! Might be worth thinking about for that first pattern on your list so you don't have to faff about with all the A4 pages. Looking forward to seeing how you go with your Make 9 this year. 💙
Not yet! But I think that's a good idea. I've only ever gone through Officeworks and they can be so painful to work with. The staff in my closest store are quite rude so I've never gone back. Maybe that is something to try this year. Thanks so much for your suggestion.❤
Hi Katrina - looking forward to seeing all your #MakeNine completed items.
Thank you. Hopefully this is the year I make them all. Have a lovely weekend. ❤❤
Lovely choices for your Make Nine Katrina. I look forward to seeing your ideas come to life ❣

Can't wait to see your makes this year Katrina! I've just come back from holidays and really enjoying catching up on all your videos. Happy new year!
Awwh. Thank you so much. I hope you had a great break. Hopefully this year is great for sewing. Thanks so much for watching ❤ ❤❤

@@sew_So_beautiful Thank you. I'm going to look into a few old fashioned ways first and then consult TH-cam. I appreciate your help.❤❤
