I enjoy your analysis, always on point, packed with data and facts, and not full of filler waffle. Great thing about this format is being able to stop, replay and fully absorb the data presented. I have owned a V8S for six years and it is worth the same today as what I bought it for. It is true, and has been for a while that meaningful depreciation is no longer a thing for these cars. Doesn’t make them ‘cheap’ though - to hold that value they have to be properly maintained as they age, and this costs real money, not just the annual oil and filter changes that you can get away with the initial years. I dont expect any significant value increases though. Too many produced, and prices for a given model will likely always be governed by the next one up in the 2004-2018 pecking order, from the 2004/2007 DB9/4.3 V8V at 30k to the last of the Vanquish S, V12VSM, GT8/12 starting at about £120k, prices at least to some extent governed by… prices of desirable new or nearly new 2nd century models…
Dont look at it as an investment people... look at it as stratergy, that if you play it right will let you own and drive a performance exotic and at least get your capital bk when you sell also pick a car with a good forum following, use independent specialists or do the work yourself and your experience will probably cost you less than owning a new M-car or AMG
I’ve owned a V8 Vantage, a V12 Vantage and an F-type R. They are not at all the same cars to drive. The F-Type is heavy feeling and automatic. I actually really liked that car, but I didn’t love it. The F-Type actually reminds me of the AMG GT, but in my opinion is a better experience. The Astons were bullet proof cars. My only really expense was the yearly service. Both cars sound great and drive great and both engines sound fantastic. The shifter is good, not great. Some folks don’t love the position of the shifter. The V12 is a beast. It really does feel like an older hot rod of a car, in a good way. It’s very different than the V8 in driving experience. The steering is amazing. The carbon brakes don’t squeal and are easy to modulate at street speeds. Like the F-Type, these are not cars to buy if you want scalpel like driving experience.
When you talk about not enough cars for sale to gather a statistical sample, May I ask how you find ALL the cars for sale in the US? Do you go to several sources, or is there a place that will gather the info from the dozens of sources out there?
Mercedes S63/65 AMG Coupe. Which is the best model year to purchase of the vehicle since the take HEAVY depreciation knocks. I think the info could be plentiful because we even have the CL63/65 as the older S Coupé

My dad has a 2007 V8 Vantage in manual, I have to show him this video
I was looking at a Vantage recently. Perfect timing

Great as always! How about AM Vantage V12? Or is that too niche?
Or Bentley Conti GT? New and old?
Keep up the great work!
SLS AMG Market next please and thank you 😊
Second.
they're already going for MSRP, and are only going up
Another great video. I'd be curious to see the V12 Vantage (MY 2014 and earlier) and V12 Vantage S (MY 2015 and later) perspectives.
& all that increase in value is completely wiped when the headlight unit fails! That's why I bought a F-Type
I think this was a good decision. Vantages are also god awful to drive and are 10 years behind the F-Type. Just look after your rear diff!

Do the QP5 Maserati Quattroporte next! 09-13 with the ZF transmission!
Great video as always! But what is the x-axis when you display the normal curves for 3-2021 and 12-2019?
It's also the price. The lines in turn are the kernel density estimates.
Audi B7 RS4 market in the USA would be very interesting to examine I think.
The mk3 focus Rs would be an interesting one
Good one.
