Mine silliest is the Chanel Terry cloth Jumbo flap bag from Cruise 2021. I take her out for spring summers and is the funkiest of bags, cool and makes every one turn their heads. Probably because they ask who buys bags like that. it's a good laugh and I love it!
I did purchase all of my "traditional" purses first and am now starting on my well it makes my heart happy season of purses. I now have a rule that i cannot buy a black purse because i have too many. But my "stupid" purchases as a bright fuchsia/hot pink chanel with gold chain hardware - her name is Bubbles because she makes me smile. Then the other "stupid" item i have are those Jimmy Choo bow heels also in hot pink. They are uncomfortable and silly but every time i put them on i smile and absolutely love them
I love that you have some possibly-impractical bags that you still use for their original purpose AND you also regard them as objets d'art. Because they are! Congratulations on a very unique collection!
I do love your enthusiasm about handbags and especially the more unusual ones, and the ones that could be said by some to be impractical. Thank you for this video.
These are fabulous. The sequined baguette is a vibe i get. My most impractical would be a nano sequined baguette. i adore it though. Weirdly my nano peekaboo is not as impractical as you would think for certain situations.
@@ameliarosescloset they’re fun. I’ve worn it as an actual purse when going out and need nothing more than house key and cards. They make fun bag charms too. The nano peekaboo holds quite a bit if you have to carry more for a night out.
I absolutely love you and your sequinned Fendi. Shes so gorgeous and I wish she was mine. I think she would be very happy living with me someday if you’d ever like to sell her to a good home 😉 I’ll be here waiting
I know or know of so many people who have gotten stuck when it comes to their bags. They save for something they want, eventually buy it and then just never wear it. And that’s because it might be lambskin or tweed or white or delicate and they are too scared to actually use it. It’s as though the idea of being pristine is more important than being used because someone that helps them justify the cost. But of course that’s false economy. Huge amounts of money spent on something they don’t feel comfortable enough to use. I’ve learned to identify those bags that I would feel too scared to use and find a way around it, such as buying one preloved that already shows some wear or buying a cheaper alternatively. I bought a beautiful white shoulder bag with gold hardware for about 10% of the cost of the Chanel white classic flap and I love it and use it because there’s nothing mentally holding me back.
My least useable bag is an off white mini Lin Canvas LV that reminds me of your pink petit Malle. This was the first all white bag LV made, although it goes for 50% of resale, I still have and use this. I also have an LV rose balerine vernis and Chanel lambskin bags in white and beige Claire. These are high maintenance bags I can’t live without! 😂
