    I bought a new ST3 last week. Just under £27k. Interest rate PCP is 1.9%. Total price £27700
    A 2 year old low mileage ST3 for around £22k with an APR of 13% will cost you over 30 grand.
    Mine is white, my favourite colour 👍

      Thank you for sharing! Many congrats on your ST3 in white! I did not realise you could get a 24 plate Fiesta so congrats 🎉

    You was the first person to make videos on these cars you had more information on these cars than Ford when I had one on order

      Thanks! Yes that was a big reason why I wanted to make the content around the car. Ford seem to share little about their new ST models (like the Puma, Fiesta and Focus) so I felt it would be great to share content on it 👍

    The MK8 Fiesta ST is a terrific little hothatch. I purchased a 19 plate ST3 with performance pack for £14200. The one I purchased was a fully specked official Ford dealer Demo. So came with Door protectors / reversing camera.
    God knows why anyone would have bought one of these without the performance pack. The LSD is a must.
    I've since added a Revo Stage 1 remap and Scorpion exhaust. A terrific upgrade on power and 'noise' for not that much money.
    Such a shame Ford have done away with hothatches. No interest in them now 😔

      Many congrats! Such a cracking car and love the sound of your upgrades. Not sure there is a more fun car out there anywhere close to that price 🎉

      @@SamAustin fully agree. Although like yourself owned the MK7 Fiesta ST. I still think pound no better car. They should be held in the same regard as XR2s etc. Again just highlighting how much Fast Fords will be missed😔. They have produced so many iconic Hothatches. I'm definitely going to buy a MK2 Focus ST as a weekend car. No doubt thrashed / abused and heavily modified. Yet smiles per miles you won't find in a modern car. Give me the odd 'burble' and turbo whistle anyday 😂

      I have a real soft spot for the MK7 Fiesta ST also. So much fun in a car for a great price 🎉

    Sad that this has signalled the end of what was arguably one of the finest hot hatches ever made. I now have a Puma ST 1.5 and I've been impressed with how much of the Fiesta ST's character they've brought over to it.

    Brilliant! video on the Fiesta MK8.5 Sam. Another video of your's which I thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed watching. I truly and genuinely am going to miss the Ford Fiesta production and line up of the different variants in the Fiesta range of cars that Ford have produced. Like the other gentleman in the comments said that the Fiesta's were truly and honestly one of the finest and most fun hot hatches that was ever made. At least we still have some of the resemblance from the Fiesta to look forward to in the Ford Puma though. Hopefully we might see an electric version of the Ford Fiesta put into production by Ford in the future. Looking forward to watching any other Ford Fiesta video's that you still might decide to make either soon or in the future, and also looking forward to watching more awesome content of your's Sam. Keep up the great work! 👌🏻🙂

    I have run a Mk 8 and a Mk 8.5 ST. I have to say the Mk 8 has a lot better standard kit than the 8.5. The 8.5 has 1 touch down on the driver’s side window only (apparently due to a chip shortage), which may not sound like a big deal, but when you’re used to having it you miss it. Also the 8 has folding heated mirrors (absent on the 8.5), and lots of other little touches like a leather (probably leather effect) hand brake handle as opposed to the very cheap looking rubber/ plastic item on the 8.5, drop down sunglasses case in the roof (deleted on the 8.5), Velcro straps in the boot, and probably other things that I might have overlooked. The 8.5 has 10% more torque (same power) but I can honestly say that the it felt no quicker than the Mk 8. Dynamically both are identical (both the ones I ran had the performance pack). The main improvements that the 8.5 has over the 8 are a reversing camera (which is good), Ford Performance seats (which are arguably more comfortable than the Recaros in the 8) and an LED dash (ST3 only). I’m not criticising the 8.5, it’s a great car, but it’s also clear that it is a victim of cost cutting. If you can get a good Mk 8 it has better standard equipment, and actually feels a little better quality in my opinion (of course that’s entirely subjective, and I’m sure some will disagree).

      Thank you for sharing your detailed thoughts around the Fiesta ST. I feel based on this, and the fact that the price is much better on the used market for the MK8, it really does come down to whether or not people prefer the facelift looks. I am actually slightly more in the MK8 camp and couldn't agree more around cost cutting which a lot of manufacturers have been doing more and more with newer generations. An older model with more kit seems like a fantastic option and it is great to hear your ownership comparison between the two 👍

    Will Ford do one more Fiesta limited edition next year to close things off

    • @SamAustin
      @SamAustin  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I live in hope that they may do but the truth is with the Fiesta no longer being produced brand new I would be very surprised if they did. Fingers crossed though 🤞

    In my opinion having had the mk8 AND 8.5 Fiesta ST....I'd go MK8 either ST2 or ST3. You don't get heated mirrors on the 8.5 which is lethal on the motorway in winter. Prefer the Recaros in the MK8 too. 👍👍👍

      Very good points! I did forget to say the MK8 is a great buy at this time. The prices are at a good place also 🎉

    Not sure why they dropped the boundless blue colour so quickly, looks great and suits the car well. Ford have some of the best blue colours to choose from. Possibly the rarest version of the car in a 3 door format. Was the white a free colour on the fiesta? Not sure why dealers would order so many on white. Some great bargains to be had out there, sure it will be sought after in the future.

    • @SamAustin
      @SamAustin  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I am not sure either. I wonder if it was too close to a special edition colour or the uptake was not so high so they had to cut it early. Yes I believe white was the no cost option colour which might explain the fact their are so many potentially.

    But even this car is still using a crappy small wet belt to drive the oil pump when they should have made it a chain.

    Colour is important, particularly if it cries “steal me”. I guess “mean green” does that a bit. Given that hot hatches are quite special (and historically nickable) there is a case for going for a dark metallic colour. Perhaps the only bright colour should be a manual steering wheel lock…!

    • @SamAustin
      @SamAustin  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a very fair point. I would say if you go for a brighter colour for sure extra security is important but also secure home parking. The grey is the best of both worlds for me as I feel it looks great and for most (non-petrol heads) can also look like just another fiesta. It has a nice metallic shine to it too 👍
