Hey Alan, Appreciate it. Just note that there's been some firmware updates which is in a later video that changes a few things. I recommend the Air 3, it's such a great drone, the 70mm is game changer.
@@DimmyV Thanks for that note. I posted a comment in another of your videos asking if the AEB in 48MP mode had been increased to 5 frames (from the 3 frame max you had mentioned)... I did more research and found release notes for a 9/25/2023 update that indeed states "Added support for taking five 48MP photos when using AEB and Burst Shooting." This is great to know. As a long-time landscape photographer, 98% of my landscapes are during that special light just before & after sunset, and bracketing is a must. It was a HUGE disappointment after purchasing the Mini 3 Pro to find out its 48MP mode was basically crippled as it is so underpowered that AEB and Burst Shooting do not work at all in it's 48MP mode. Really looking forward to this upgrade!
Hi, Thanks for the informative and good presentation. I wonder what software/program you use to edit film taken with your DJI Air 3 when filming in D-Log M? Greetings from Robert Hansen From Norway

@@eitanfine5185 so I actually tested this last night and there is no digital zoom on photos. I’m personally ok with it as digital zoom doesn’t gives you 100% quality. But I still want to switch between focal lengths using the right dial
I was comparing 12 and 48MP on air 3S in RAW. Details on 12MP are way cleaner. 48MP are done by interpolation which gives a lot of artifacts. 48MP can be used only when you have ideal lighting conditions and minimal iso. In all the other situations 12MP + Upscaler software are giving much better results
I agree. Have you seen my recent video with the Air 3S v Air 3. You’ll likely say the same. That being said we would never pixel peep that much and to have more detail is good. What image upscaler do you use?
@@DimmyV Will have a look at your new video now. I have to pixel peep, cause I want to use drone photos for some professional work(textures for 3D etc) where I need to make more modifications, for most people it doesnt matter for sure. As for the upscaler, I use Gigapixel Topaz
Does the 70mm lens support 48mp. If so I would have liked to see a cropped in comparison with the wide lens. Just how far away you can be and still get a zoomed in quality shot.
Hi , could you tell me how you transfer the images to your computer , when I take the sd card from the drone, put the sd card into a reader , it comes up no images ….
I just use the memory card reader built into my MacBook Pro. Check maybe the lock is on. Whether your PC or Mac is not on standby. Try not using card reader if it’s separate and use another. A restart might work.
I would love to know where this editing software comes from and what devise it is edited on. Is it done on the RC2? I have ordered the Air3 package and I am impressed with how the bracketing function works in the guide. Please enlighten me!

@@DimmyV. I am referring to the software used by Demetrios’ excellent TH-cam‘’ DJI Air3 Camera Guide - Single Photo Mode Comparing 12 - 48mp and JPEG - Raw and 24mm - 70mm.

@@DimmyV thank you. We have StarLink, so Cloud shouldn’t be a problem. But I wonder if RawTherapee or Darktable will do the same smooth bracketing I see you do in Lightroom?
Hi, Liked you video. however I did want to mention one small problem if your a clicker of photos its not a big problem if your a photographer, then its a major problem. That is the amount of noise in images. You know what noise is? its that grain in the shaded areas of a image. And this is happening at low iso. My first Air 3 I sent back as I was bitterly disappointed in the image quality. I was getting better images from my old Mavic Pro mark 1. They did send me a new Air 3 and I spoke at length to the problems I and other Air3 owners were having. There has been a upgrade to firmware and I think its helped. However at 100 and 200iso there should hardly been any noise. They have admitted there is a problem and are working towards a solution . I ended up having to purchase third party software to fix the problem. My question to you have you seen this Noise in your images? I did notice some noise in one of your images. But its hard to see on my monitor and over the internet. I have spoken to other reviewers but I think they are reluctant to say anything. For upsetting DJI. What's your thoughts?
Hey Gary, this is interesting. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary and looked at my Mini 2 photos and seems to be in-line. I even checked out some of my photos from my 6400. It's hard to tell when you need to physical see the issue you are having.
If I could send you a sample, you would see for yourself what is happening. Very easy to see in the 48meg images. Unless your selling Air3 drones. And don't want people to see the problem?
I feel like they need to optimize the algorithm for active track. When i walking, the drone tends to rush toward me, stop, and back away, and repeat, making the shot looks weird. Also its constantly moving left and right
@@DimmyV Yeah huge open space with 0 trees and buildings, and I'm the only one in the field. Seems like the drone has trouble staying still whenever i stop walking
I agree. But mine is the opposite. Mine hardly locks on to me or my car, and when it does only tracks from behind. left/ right/ front nothing happens. spotlight works reat though.
