Now, here’s where I practice being a troll: anybody else notice the flattened surface of the left main tire, just aft of the ground contact point? No? Good. I won’t tell a soul.. No,seriously, Tom,your work is so inspirational I don’t even know where to begin to describe how beautiful it is. You continue to elevate the standard for model builders and your documentation is mesmerizing. I always sleep well when your videos are the last ones I watch before going to sleep. Thank you for every post!
Thanks for your kind words and you're totally right regarding the "bad tire". I haven't noticed it before I saw the pictures in the composing program. To get rid of it I would have had to work against the guiding hole of the plastic part. Unfortunately I didn't check it twice...
@@TomGrigat your videos are pure art. If I can get to the modelling point that you are, I'll be glad. And beyond that, you make these fantastic videos. 2 amazing tallents.
I glued together a ton of plastic models as a kid. But what you do is not a hobby but true craftsmanship. Just building the model is one thing. Then adding the stopmmotion. Spectacular.
The anticipation of just seeing your final segment, the full build, spinning prop and take off, man I could watch this over and over again. Great way to end a busy ol‘ day, thanks Mr G.
THE BEST! Just walked in and decided to see if anything new on UT. Once I locked on to this it was OH YEAH! Did not fail to impress,{never does!} Excellent build and vid, Congrats & THANKS TOM!
Outstanding once again. The amount of effort you put in to your video is astonishing. From the painting to the animation and even the choice of music. It’s truly a work of art, well done sir

Holy cow, Tom. Elite model building _and_ stop-motion video? Both are works of art. Duly impressed, sir. Can't imagine the amount of time it took to shoot.
The Spitfire is definitely one of the most beautiful and amazing planes of all time. You managed to capture it so well that it’s stunning. Have a subscriber!
Evening Tom, funnily enough been thinking about you recently and your absence of videos. After coming home from a Bad Day, just about to chill out with a beer, logged in and you popped up a Smile appeared. What can I say Except :- you've surpassed yourself Again! Thanks You have Made My Day and Cheered me up👍
Coming from New Zealand.. Im linking my father who is an engineer also and would love your work. I know he'd appreciate this. Its very good. Thank you!
Absolutely the best, most interesting, most clever video to date....have seen hundreds, and been building since 1955 (yes five five). Airplanes rule! Thanks T'sM in M!!
some days ago, I built a Spitfire MkI from Airfix and it was my first Airfix model, and the Airfix models have great quality, and in my opinion, the 1/72 scales of Airfix are better than the 1/72 scale from Revell.
Wow! You sir are truly talented! You could literally photoshop it onto an airfield and I would have no idea it’s not the real thing. The Spitfire really is a beautiful aircraft, especially with that 5 blade prop. Not sure I like the look of those clipped wingtips though. A few years ago I started on an Academy P-40E 1/72. First and only model I ever actually sat down and really worked on. Got burnt out after a week or two and haven’t touched it since. It’s pretty much completely put together except the canopy, but it’s not painted. I don’t have an airbrush, and painting everything by hand is not something I’m looking forward to, especially since it never forms a smooth, uniform coat. I’d love to be able to make them as beautiful as you can, but I struggle with patience, and I’m just simply not good enough. Heck, I struggle to glue the parts together without leaving a giant glue fingerprint on one of the parts! I’m honestly not sure if I’ll ever finish it. I still got several other models I haven’t even started on yet. Most of them are Revell, another is Academy, and one is Testors. Never heard of Airfix though. If I ever get around to finishing what I have I might try one of their models out. Do you have any advice for if I decide to get back into it?
Thank you 😊 - It's difficult to say how many hours it took me. But one thing is clear I started the building exactly one month ago... So the whole process took me 30 days.
Beautiful job Tom on a great British plane...👏👏 The British were known for their ship building skills, but they turned out some tremendous aircraft with the Spitfire, Hurricane and Typhoon...😎 I'm so jealous of your collection!!😉
They're glued. It's the process of assembling I like most. I see what's covered and get an idea of the functions - and I have the video which shows the interior forever 😂
I'm pleased to hear you like my work - regarding the kit there are some gaps between the fuselage and the upper wing sections. I personally had some problems fixing it. You might have noticed in the video. Additionally the engine cowling has the wrong width. All in all it's possibly not Airfix's best fitted kit, but it made a lot of fun. The pilot figure is really beautiful...
