Abadango's run through this tournament was one of my favourite things to ever happen in Smash. He completely shattered the idea that Mewtwo is weak, lit the crowd up so hard with those footstools, and dominated so many strong players with a completely foreign character played incredibly well. Fuck yeah!

I've been watching the footage slowed down to try to learn Aba's playstyle, and I couldn't help but notice a few good times he could've done some footstool DJC combos.
The characters with the most obvious and easiest combos to execute are favored over others because they're unorthodox and take far more practice and precision as well as studying what combos they can perform on certain character weights

Am I right about this? Prior to this event, out of 58 characters, only 3 (Diddy, Sheik, ZSS) have ever won a major in Smash 4 (not counting secondaries). Out of the 55 others, the 4th character to win a major ended up being Mewtwo. Not Bayonetta, not Pikachu, not Rosaluma, but a character that was once considered bottom-5. This teaches me 3 things. 1, everyone needs to shut the fuck up about Bayonetta. 2, Mew2King needs to go to the doctor AND actually main Mewtwo. And 3, Sheik, the cancer of the metagame, getting nerfed is the best thing to ever happen in Smash. My respect for this game has grown substantially after Pound, because if Mewtwo has won a major, then there is hope for everyone (Unless ZeRo mains Bayonetta and she never gets nerfed, then it's gonna be Sheik all over again).

He lost to saj in winners Florida bayonetta player. Then in losers he lost to mr.ii Japanese Robin player. (I believe the Loser match wasn't recorded unfortunately )
I think broadcasters of tournaments should play their own music in the background during Smash 4 cause the music for most of the legal stages aren't very hype like the Smashville theme just ruins the tone of the set
+MaxTheHunter Absolutely; anything WFT can do, Mewtwo does better. Less laggy moves, a fast/long reflector, more range, disjointed moves. WFT has to pile pressure on to win, but closing the gap in the first place is very hard.
Well in this matchup it's much less punishing to get a small one reflected than a fully charged one. He was just playing it incredibly safe. In a different matchup he'd probably use the full charge more often

Well in this matchup it's much less punishing to get a small one reflected than a fully charged one. He was just playing it incredibly safe. In a different matchup he'd probably use the full charge more often
