The hate for Zero is unwaranted. Zero lost to Seagull Joe and almost lost to Anti and Nairo. Zero lost to Seagull very early in brackets and had to fight his way all the way to grand finals. That is an impressive feat and he deserved his victory.
dale anderson Both. If you're in losers, you have to fight people who lose early in brackets and people who lose from winner's bracket. Losers bracket requires you to beat a lot more people to get to grand finals the earlier you are knocked into losers. He had to fight Esam and Anti who are both extremely tough opponents.
+Yami it's just the normal course of events, when you keep winning no-stop you first pass the "amazing player" period, then you start to be hated hard time, but if you can pass these trials you become a god. that's what is happening with zero as well, his name is slowly being carved in the hall of fame
I know what everyone is thinking. Nairo threw the first set for a reason. Nairo "threw" the first set so that zero couldn't download his ZSS but instead; nairo gets to download his sheik. Smart strategy since he had two sets to work with. Nairo knows zero is a master of adapatation. And he's trying new strategies to beat him.
Debatable. He probably thought that zero didn't have much experience fighting Meta knight as opposed to pit considering nairo has already went pit against him before
+Some Guy i guess downloading zeros sheik was a good idea. but come on. zero was unstable that tournament. it was a perfect time to beat him. if anti had beaten zero it wouldve been nairo's tournament for sure. nairo shouldve played a bit more safe especially in the last game. when he only needed 1 grab to win
@@MufflinI mean....in June, he "confessed" to it so what could we think otherwise? But it totally makes sense now why he said that out of shock. Glad Nairo is seeking legal actions for this.
It's kinda of sad how people have come to expect ZeRo to win so much they wont even acknowledge the accomplishments he has to preform or his amazing skills, sick reads and absolute dominance. i wonder if it was like this for Ken or M2K?
m2k was probably the most disrespected top player ever and he was not good at handling it which made people do it more to try to get free wins, he would tilt out a lot back in the day
i hate all the people are acting like they saw this coming i was honestly on the edge of my seat, ZeRo deserves some props people, sure he is the big bad top player but who cares? he is still a normal guy and people make mistakes such as when Seagull beat him great job ZeRo *claps* good job bringing that back man and you to Nairo you almost had him, but even as a Robin main im gonna say you shouldn't have wasted your chance man
Yeah...well it looks like Nairo got an attorney as you know so that stuff is till legally being worked out. That makes me feel A LITTLE bit safer to see him in these videos (a little but..still hoping for the results of that trial.) Zero didn't do anything physical but obviously sent those messages and is now seeking help. We'll see how things go.
Man, zero is officially a God in my book now, he totally deserved to win, to be honest, i thought he was a goner since the moment he loose at the very beginning, could you ever imagine the pressure of being #1 and to loose so early in a tournament? Man, i mean, look at that hug he had with his gf in the end, that explains everything. And more than that, he fought his way through the very top from the bottom in such a tough mental state and tough opponents. And to everyone making fun of how he always wins, i just want to say: "Really?" This man is the Goat (so far)of smash 4 and he deserves some respect, and honestly that has to be the most ridiculous way to make fun of someone. Sorry if I said something insulting, if i did i am sorry, all kind of comments and even ones with hate are totally welcome.
+Isaías Sosa lol you went through the entire video looking for a reaction that isn't even contextually accurate. Nairo literally did better with robin and MK than he did with ZSS that first set. When you get bodied with one character in a fighting game, you go to your next best. And what was the result? Nairo came back in the second set with a 2 game lead, one of which was a 2 stock.
I know people don't like ZeRo winning but you have to respect him for the skill displayed here. I main Shiek, and yes, I know she's really good, but it's honestly not that easy to pressure and read somebody as good as Nairo. Shiek is great at racking up damage but she only has two true kill combos and both require a read.
+Something Random Inc. yea the thing is people see sheik doing well and assume the character is brawl meta knight levels of broken but in reality she's extremely good but not faceroll, she's honestly very hard to play against competent+ players. Amazing potential , but still a difficult character to achieve that potential with.
+Aznodt Nairo lost the first game and said, "You know what? Winning this set is too difficult after losing the first match so I'm gonna download you by playing my secondaries then have a serious second set."
Yami exactly. He used set 1 to see what ZeRo would do in certain situations and try to download him and honestly, he came damn close to winning. He was smart using that first set like that.
Aznodt It just wasn't fun to watch Nairo throwing away an entire set. But at least the second set was hype. But that last match was pretty one sided...
I don't know about if Nairo was "downloading" Zero's Sheik the whole first set or not (probably was), but I just like that they were both having fun. It bugs me when people get _so_ over the top into the game that they get all salty and freak out when they lose and stuff. Being competitive is one thing, but it's just a game. I like to see people being good sports and even having a good time.
UFOxGaming It's still just healthy to be a good sport. If someone beats you, you need to have the maturity to shake their hand and admit that it wasn't your game. So that's why I appreciate the candid demeanor of these guys and how they're not gnashing their teeth about it. It's more fun when you have fun and be a good sport, while also being competitive.
+Steven Bowser Nairo confirmed his strategy on his stream last week. First match he lost pretty handily. So rather than continue to lose that way and only get downloaded further he changed it up. He went Robin to just get a chance to see how ZeRo was playing (what he was going for at certain percents yadda yadda downloading) but also because Robin and ZSS both have limited OOS options he wanted to test that out against him to see how he'd react. He went MK because MK also has up air> up air> up air> up B and it's the only other character in the game in which it works almost identically to ZSS. So he did that to see when ZeRo would airdodge because if he airdodges against MK in the same way during that string then he'd do it against ZSS too. after that set was done nairo honestly wrecked ZeRo for a bit and was up 2-1 so his strategy worked super well. Really shows the mental side of the game.
Samuel Ward One person wins every single tournament for like 4 months by using a cheap gimmicky character against people using worse characters. How do I have to answer this for you???
I love watching Nairo and ZSS play each other. Their sets seem to go one way early on but then they end up being SUPER close. Plus these matches are a good opportunity to figure out combos I can pick up on for both characters. I've been trying to main ZSS while having Sheik as a secondary (I love Sheik's combos, but ZSS's high damage that can go along with her own combos are waaay too good for me to pass up). On a related note, what a GREAT grand finals!!!! I love Nairo's spike at 14:52
+Personell101 Robin is definitely viable, just very underrated. She's got great tools to deal with the bulk of the cast, although she's difficult to use properly. Because she's rare, the community hasn't really seen what she's capable of. Top Robin mains agree that she's at least upper mid tier.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, people don't dislike ZeRo for his tournament win streak, it's the fact that there's no real sense of satisfaction watching him win. It doesn't surprise you when he wins because it's expected, hence why it's not enjoyable for everyone to watch.
Speak for yourself, I love seeing the true smash bro win every tournament because he deserves it and tries to help the community. He always works the hardest and it shows.
+Julius Caesar Thats cool. I like the guy and watch his videos too, I just don't like watching his sets because it doesn't interest me as much as seeing an underdog winning the set.

I said that on the video where zero lost there was a lot of talking shit but when he wins you don't see shit and maybe I like watching the best play and at least I son't follow everyone like a sheep.Let me guess your favorite dragon ball character is Vegeta isnt it? lel
I will always cheer for Zero just cause. I want to beat him. In like a couple years of training. Maybe I'll be like as good as I dunno, false? He really good. T_T
I have bad news...unless Cloud does me good (maybe he's just new but i find him super fun), I might give up and play melee, of course my goal will still be the same, And a lot of people have told me that i have potential. so should i?
+Elliot Johns Nah, it's a mixup read. Down throw up air is a kill combo, but if the opponent is anticipating it, they will air dodge. So a Sheik player can use vanish instead because the initial delay beats out the air dodge. Vanish can be beat by air dodging late or using a second jump, but if you air dodge late you risk getting hit by an early up air, or if you decide to use a second jump, Sheik can still catch you with a rising up air.
+Elliot Johns it's a mix up for the fair combo too. I'm guessing nairo expected the true combo fair and never bothered to air dodge. Which was a little dumb from him.
...tbh....Nairo gave this W to Zero, man. I believe if he hadn't been messing around with secondaries during the first set, things might have been different. But then again, Zero could have still won the first set since he beat Nairo in the first game.
I love nairo too; he was partner to my favorite player of all time besides Armada (ADHD), but you gotta give it to Zero. He not only ran through losers but did it by beating Ally, Anti, Esam, Dabuz, and a few others. Basically the other best smash 4 pros besides himself and maybe Mr. R I guess. That truly shows he has the skills to back up all his tournament wins. Amazing showing by Anti though!
ZeRo won!??! I never saw that coming! What a twist of events! Surely it was the biggest plot twist in gaming history! It's definitely not like ZeRo wins any Smash 4 tournaments anyway!
+King Pops dude this tournaments was amazing, that Zero comeback after losing against Seagull Joe, it was epic, and its going to be more epic when someone finally beats Zero, in a GF or something
King Pops IKR !! I forgot about that, I think Zero was just too good from the beggining, but now finally the competition its getting close to his level of play.
Honestly anti put off more off a fight than dabuz and nario cause zero looked scared when it got close and when zero played dabuz, dabuz got his ass handed to him (getting 3-0)and nairo didn't look like a challenge (3-0 set 1 and 2-3 on set 2 with zero winning 2 games back to back with stock lead and percentage) anti pulled up more of a fight than them it would have been better to see anti vs zero in GF (my opinion)
To all of those hating on Nairo throwing that first set...look back at what Esam has said. Playing Zero is incredibly draining. Why put your all into a first set that you'll probably lose when that'll cause you to throw the 2nd set? It's best to just give it your all for one set.
+Sket6984 He lost the set at the very beginning, man tweeter got crazy about it, everyone thought he was a real goner, even me, and he wasnt really feeling it through the entire tournament and we was entering depression. Him and Mk2 are very alike
Oh my God that Arc Fire was almost as sexy as Charizard's fire
IntroSpecktive wtf

Well he played meta knight for 7 years in brawl. Nairo is a top player. He knows what he is doing
Well it is true, but his smash 4 meta knight is nowhere near as polished as Pit.
Debatable. He probably thought that zero didn't have much experience fighting Meta knight as opposed to pit considering nairo has already went pit against him before

+Da Shrew Um you capitalized the y. Please stay in school.
I love watching Nairo and ZSS play each other. Their sets seem to go one way early on but then they end up being SUPER close. Zero's run this tournament is the equivalent of Mango's pound 3 run. Amazing.
Can someone explain the bracket reset to me?
zero was in losers bracket so he had to win 2 sets to win while nairo was in winners he had to win just 1
“Nairo unable to cook right now
Zero having the spatula in hand”

how do u do those combos? 15:20
The best thing about smash 4 is that once the next smash comes out. This will be shelved like brawl and everyone will move on.
15:39 I remember the stream crashing for a minute at that point. Hype overload.
I was on edge of my seat at the end, breathless. So intense.
Nairo's techs are insane. Always intense to watch z ZeRo vs. Nairo set.

You mean before they got dog-piled with false accusations.
NAAAAAAAAAAAAIROOOOOOOOOOO WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Still a great and hype set.
Good job, ZeRo.
I'm surprised I didn't see any Zero haters here.
This was such a good set. I wonder what went through Nairo's mind when he went for the grab.
Hard to believe that zeRo was actually run grab combo away from the streak coming to an end.
Johns to both of dem
I feel like whenever I watch competitive smash 4, I keep asking myself, did they remove air dodge from the game?
Air dodges can be punished...
+FM360 If you watched more competitive sm4sh, you wouldn't ask yourself that question.
Jigglypuff yeah but I'm pretty sure you can air dodge a bouncing fish and the the B-air wouldn't be able to hit you

Can you guess what it is?
Its called FUCK OFF

I will always cheer for Zero just cause. I want to beat him. In like a couple years of training. Maybe I'll be like as good as I dunno, false? He really good. T_T
Thanks man.
+Zeus Pluchino i agree. with hard work and believe everything is possible
Everything takes time. I guarantee that a few years of practice is not enough. It takes serious, long-term dedication.
I have bad news...unless Cloud does me good (maybe he's just new but i find him super fun), I might give up and play melee, of course my goal will still be the same, And a lot of people have told me that i have potential. so should i?
+Zeus Pluchino Melee's the way to go. Tr4sh has little depth and is such a read-heavy based game.
Nairo's face after the first battle......OMG THE SALT
Why Nairo doesn't use a tag?
Can't. Handle. The. Glasses. Pushing.
wait is down throw up air now a true combo for sheik because it seems that zero can kill with it without and resistance
+Elliot Johns
Nah, it's a mixup read.
Eric T. Chu i know its a mixup read but it seemed in the video he would down throw up air nairo before he could do any inputs
But then again, Zero could have still won the first set since he beat Nairo in the first game.
zero was so calm through out the whole thing nario was stressing
So when's the patch that re-implements traditional edge hogging so we can see an end to this ledge trump stuff?
14:51 ..... I can't... I just can't.... That was the best losers match I ever saw that down b was beautiful on Moros part just beautiful .
Have nothing against Zero, but I wanted Nairo to win. The way he pulls off ZSS just makes her so goddamn top tier. NUMERO #1!
They actually pushed up their glasses at the beginning. lol
Too bad my boy NAIRO couldn't win, but it was an amazing set, amazing tournament anyway. Next time Nairo.
+Da Shrew someone's salty cause Zero is too good
+Da Shrew you sound a little mad
Nope.
Sheik is too op
I don't understand why Nairo didn't use Dark Pit in the first set
ZeRo won!??! I never saw that coming! What a twist of events! Surely it was the biggest plot twist in gaming history! It's definitely not like ZeRo wins any Smash 4 tournaments anyway!
Your sarcasm is terrible
+Jterr That's kind of the point...
+King Pops dude this tournaments was amazing, that Zero comeback after losing against Seagull Joe, it was epic, and its going to be more epic when someone finally beats Zero, in a GF or something
+Passive Hater This tournament was hype. Don't forget about Anti. He was the closest we've seen to someone beating ZeRo in the Semi's.
King Pops IKR !! I forgot about that, I think Zero was just too good from the beggining, but now finally the competition its getting close to his level of play.
They should bring back smash 4 tournaments in the future.
DAMN that set 2 was amazing.
Nairo = world's shittiest grab attempts confirmed.
Caleb Robinson ikr. Missing his grabs threw out the game made me piss.
I think that Nairo and Zero are pretty much equal in skill. It's hard to tell since their characters go about taking stocks in very different ways.
+excaliburjc No.
I hope you guys upload esam vs Dabuz !
And D1 got dat mustache comin along...
Nairo king of tecks. Froward air during a wall jump and did it and barrels also tecked
If you hold away while trying to tech you'll walljump after you tech
I love how D1 says "zero undefeated" when zero came from losers side.
To all of those hating on Nairo throwing that first set...look back at what Esam has said.
Playing Zero is incredibly draining.
Why put your all into a first set that you'll probably lose when that'll cause you to throw the 2nd set?
It's best to just give it your all for one set.
Smash 4 is slowly getting less ResidentSleeper and more Kreygasm
the good ol days
he could've grabbed when ZeRo neared away during the end
That yell in the background at 7:14
Wait can someone tell me why zero started of in losers.
Seagull joes sonic :(
+Sket6984 He lost the set at the very beginning, man tweeter got crazy about it, everyone thought he was a real goner, even me, and he wasnt really feeling it through the entire tournament and we was entering depression. Him and Mk2 are very alike
+Da Shrew Its not just a game its his career... lol.
Da Shrew when you hug someone like he did at the end, you know it something more than just a game man
Diego Larrañaga The fact that hes getting depressed is a bit pathetic
11:24 look at the camera looking towards nairo
Threw up in my mouth from too much cooking (analogies)
Who beat Zero?
+Llama TarperNanners Seagull Joe
Oh thanks.
when zero played against anti he was holding back. that beginning he took out nairo's first stock like it was nothing.........
Yeah that's zeros throne ladies and gentleman the G.O.A.T in smash
Zero is the only guy who can literally play video games then right after make out with a girl. Why can this not happen to anyone else
