Doing this as BM you can just use viper sting instead of wyern+chimaera shot. And it will oom the relic hunter, and killing him just as easily - the healing from the other relic hunter wont be enough. Also with this you dont need to use chimaera shot and can use explo shot instead . therefore wont forget to swap the runes (as i've done myself many times.)

Heya, I have talents and runes at the end of the video (with a chapter marker in description.) As for SM:Cath, I'd like to make a video on it, atm though while I can sometimes get the 1-pull down, I can't do it consistently. I could cherry pick the best run and show it (which I suspect is what a lot of the other videos are) but I wouldn't really be OK with that, I'd rather be able to do it every time but there's just too many random things that mess it up. I have been working on an uldaman boost though, where you don't do the casters but you get all the beasts and a bunch of the lower level non-casters so you can get massive pulls and blow them up quickly. I think with optimization it's probably actually better than the SM:Cath 1-pull for exp/hr anyway.
Can’t do the wyvren sting chimera trick as of latest update. But in my farms i just run explosive and toss the extra talent into more HP. Pop rapid fire and focus one dwarf down while cleaving. Try to cast traps asap because the dwarves can silence. You can crowd mobs back up by hopping on and off the rock ledge as well. Keeping out of LoS to keep casters moving. thanks for your guide!
This is a good farm for hunters, I tried SM GY and jumped onto the fence in the back to kite the mobs, but the jump is so weird. You need to jump onto a ledge and then your able to jump up onto the fence, which is easy when you first figure it out, but the issue is constantly repeating it while kiting. This is much better and even has something to block LOS. I'm going to try this out in 30m when the servers are back up from maintenance Also thank you for the dancing monkeys
Yeah I haven't tried sm:gy yet, but I'm thinking of levelling a second hunter and if I do I'll try it for the last few levels to self-boost. Best of luck with the ulda solo, lemme know how it goes!
Sorry bro, they've hotfixed the Wyvern/Chimera interaction: "Chimera Shot no longer extends the duration of Wyvern Sting’s periodic damage. Developers’ notes: That interaction was never intended." Just means the dwarf pulls are a little trickier.
They did that hotfix like 10 mins after I posted the video lol, I swear they're trolling me. Fortunately the dwarf pulls are still plenty doable without, but it was a cool combo, dunno why they bothered to nerf it, not like you can do it on raid bosses and it's not good in pvp compared to raptor strike hitting for 800 lol
It's gonna be interesting to see those "Mara 200/300/400+" pulls that mage is so infamous for in classic but done on a hunter. I mean, when mara is released in SoD, haha.
Cheers! You def can as long as the mobs are nicely packed, the only issue is the longer you show your face, the more chance they have to cast on you and spread apart. I tend to to it a lot when I have fewer casters, and less when I have more casters.
Nice video For real i thought it was Nixxiom making a different voice for the guide, no offense :) I really have trouble with those first 3 dwarves, i keep getting flame strike and pain on my face.. I figured it was because i'm not geared enough to burn them down, i'm also 39 so i guess it doesn't help even though i got 30+ gear with stamina and agility I just got the Crossbow of BFD i hope it will help, if you have any suggestions i'm all for it ! :D Edit : With a bit more greens, i finally managed to kill the first 3 dwarfs after a long battle of 50min of trying, i had to kill them one by one and reset... i guess my Crossbow skill wasn't high enough but still the green gear and being lvl 39 doesn't really help the situation. I really need to learn to properly burst. I finally managed my first pull of 16 mobs! Feels good
Nice! I'd recommend being 40 of course, and with some preraid 40 blues at least, will make it way easier. can also freezing trap one of the dwarves to make it easier. And I'm very happy to be compared to nixxiom, his content is awesome :)
@@_FoobarOh thank you for answering ! It seems that Frostadamus found a way to skip them, getting a pet with Prowl rank 2 allows you to do all the pulls without aggroing the Dwarves :O

Your hunter videos is the reason I started leveling my hunter. 39 now with only about 4 bars to go. Any gear requirements I should get before starting?
Nice! It shouldn't take too much gear but I'd try and get a few agi/stam pieces at least. I'm wearing mostly BFD gear with the pvp bow/amulet/ring and the badlands quest chest.
Few things can help: Freezing trap one to reduce damage Viper sting to make them oom More gear helps, esp agi/stam LoS doesn't help much though since it's instant cast
Having trouble keeping the geomancer with the brawlers, he keeps creeping around the ledge without the others and eventualy reaching me in melee range, any tips for keeping them all grouped up? Do i need to do larger pulls? I can barely handle 1 geomancer. Thanks.
Try and be on high ground when he's casting, so you poke your head out to the right, fire off the trap or explosive shot, see that he's casting and instantly jump back up, that way the melee mobs move left, while the caster is still casting and therefore still. Then when the cast is done, jump down so all mobs move right. Repeat as needed. Good luck!
Thanks for the video! How often do these rare boe-s sell? Not even kidding, I've been farming this place for around one day, and the pendulum dropped, however I cannot really sell it to anybody. Is there a specific discord or platform you can recommend? I want to get rid of it before its price drops too much.
Wow nice! Big grats! The higher the item value, the harder to sell, so pendulum will be tough. I'd recommend to do 3 things: 1. Keep it up on the AH 2. Advertise in trade chat 3. Find your server's discord and make a post there, they will usually have a buy/sell channel.
Jokerd has a clip of it dropping from the adds that are done in the hunter farm as shown in this video. Not sure what add it drops from though but I’m sure wowhead is accurate for it
is there a more consistent way to make sure the casters stay grouped up with the rest of the pack? thats the only reason i keep dying is they get too far ahead of the pack and they get to close/split apart from the melee brawlers
It's not easy, couple of things that help are firing from low ground then immediately jumping up to get the melee mobs more left of the casters, or if you need the other way, just showing face then staying down but that's less common. Also doing some jumps up and down without shooting can help stack em a bit, and generally the faster things die the less time to spread so having some decent +agi gear helps a bunch.
February 26 2024 > Hunter > Chimera Shot no longer extends the duration of Wyvern Sting's periodic damage. > Developers’ notes: That interaction was never intended.
@@_Foobar Good vid. Been doing it as Beast Mastery, helpful to use the pet to finish off casters when they start fleeing in a random direction. I'm still learning but it's so hard, I fail like 3 out of 4 attempts. I don't know what to do when the melee enemies start spreading away from each other; how to group them back up again
@@Darkhacker47 not quite, im still experimenting with movement, how long i stay upstairs or downstairs, how many times i shoot before ducking again, how to control casters so they stand still when i want them to, how the melee ones sometimes rush ahead, or ignore the fact you're downstairs, or take the long way around the door (i think the upstairs pillar has 2 levels which make them take a long or short path).... lots of variables, hard to manage. I think the best way to group them up is to shuffle up and down until it works. I do this by barely moving my camera, pretty much only strafe left right while looking towards them and jump up and down
@@Darkhacker47 oh also another approach that works great to kill the dark iron packs is to viper sting / chimera shot them, they easily run out of mana to heal
yeah they just announced like 10mins after I posted the video lol Still very doable, just the relic hunters are marginally more annoying without the combo
ive tried those shadowfoirge hunters like 8 times lol i cant burst them quick enough its terrible they just heal all day , they are harder then the actual big pulls lol
With very good execution, yes. The more gear you have the faster it will go which just makes things a little easier and faster. I'd at least get the easy gear pieces first though.
According to wowhead only 2 mob types in ulda can drop pendulum of doom. Stone keepers and stonevault flameweavers. Still a lucrative farm but don’t expect a PoD. I have gotten two boe epics in the past 4 days farming though. Ive switched to a 2 pull of ALL beasts, going right first then grabbing up to deadly scorpion pack he gets in this first big pull. Both epics i got dropped from beasts and their trash vendors well. Fangs AH well too on my server. I then grab the entire trogg room. Seems to net more consistent gph
Yeah I kill the flameweavers as the last pull for it, decent idea killing the other beasts, since they are really easy and fast to blow up. Can you do the entire trogg room at once? Must be like 10 casters in it?
@@_Foobarits a little bit of RNG with the trogg rooms. I keep humanoid tracking up and do a quick scan. If more then 4-5 i skip the pack through the doorway before trogg boss. Since it always seems to have at least 1. I use plater and can see the casts going off. As i learned the pull definitely better off with only a couple geomancers
@@_Foobarhave not compared yet, my gut says cath probably more xp. Would come down to clear speed most likely. Ulda has been so shiny ive not done much SM
At least some of it will be, the main issue is I don't think you can do the casters so well as mage, since you have to be in line of sight to do the blizzards. At 60 it would be okay because you'd resist most of their casts, but at 40 they hit like a truck XD
Hmm I don't think they ever did that to me, perhaps try freezing trap one of them if they give you a lot of trouble, gives you a bit more time to kill before you die to dots. If you can burst down one, you can run out the portal to leash them, then you can heal up and finish the pull.
@@_FoobarI was not able to clear the pack since patch unfortunately, even though I did it first try every run before :/ They heal too much and swp ticks really hard. I'm gonna try with some health pots maybe that works
Will vary a bit depending on whether you do one big pull or multiple small pulls. 20-30mins would be my estimation but will be more when you're learning of course. As for gold, per-run isn't really meaningful because some runs you get a massive item worth hundreds of gold, some runs you get only some cloth and silver and greens. Overall it is good gold though!
It really depends on the high value drops, like pendulum and monolithic bow. It's also more profitable the more experienced you get with it, for example, I show a small pull, a medium pull and a larger pull, if you are always doing the largest pulls (you can pull all or almost all in one go if you're brave enough!) and never dying then it can be pretty good, it's just a matter of whether it's worth the investment of the practice. Personally, I think the tanaris pirate farm is much better, especially if you can get cheap map fragments off the AH and do a bunch of treasure chests in a row.
Where possible, try and have your pet face the mobs when they hit it, dash past what you can and let other mobs social aggro where you can, but at the end of the day, dazes do happen, esp. with mobs so much higher level.
I'm not against that at all, i wanted to try it myself and wait for the 100% to XP my Hunt But this kind of video lead to more Hunter nerfs, you know it right ? 😂 Imagine if another class than mage can do crazy aoe sh**, would be such a crime hahaha
Funny you say that, they nerfed wyvern sting+chimera shot combo like 10mins after the vid released. Then they buffed explodey shot so I think we good for now
I was finding it a bit tough with all, and when wyvern sting worked the single pull was super fast, but if you can kill all at same time that's even better :D
Or you skip all the trash mobs, pull with a pet with stealth. gather 30+ mobs and clear everything in under 12 mins, pulling the sentinel together with first pull. This is a bad guide.
There are basically three difficulties of the pull, there's this, where I show the easy way for people who have never tried it before, there's what you're describing, as popularized by Frostadamus, where you use stealthpet to avoid the relic hunters, but there's an even faster+harder way still where you go in the front door, use a trickier jumpspot but get to pull the front area, beasts, troggs and the stone guys who are immune to snares. Basically, I see your 30 mobs and raise you a 126 mob pull: th-cam.com/video/4Z_9K66THxw/w-d-xo.html
these "solo" x dungeon is just totally bullschitt.. you cannot do this without gear... prove you can do it in less than near bis. I dare ya. its a nice guide and great explanation all except the gear.
I mean this footage was done with 0 gnomer gear, using the WSG revered bow and a mix of green BOEs with "of the monkey" and a few easy-to-farm pieces like www.wowhead.com/classic/item=217307/reveloshs-spaulders I actually main a resto druid for raiding, so all the hunter content is done with pretty average gear.

I'm still learning but it's so hard, I fail like 3 out of 4 attempts. I don't know what to do when the melee enemies start spreading away from each other; how to group them back up again
@@Pomodorosan I'm also at this stage now. did you understand how to group them?
They are changing the chimera interaction with wyvern next patch arent they?
yeah they just announced like 10mins after I posted the video lol
Still very doable, just the relic hunters are marginally more annoying without the combo
ive tried those shadowfoirge hunters like 8 times lol i cant burst them quick enough its terrible they just heal all day , they are harder then the actual big pulls lol
can use a stealth pet to sneak past for the pull, or freezing trap one to make the pull easier.
Hunter
Chimera Shot no longer extends the duration of Wyvern Sting’s periodic damage.
Developers’ notes: That interaction was never intended.
Sadge. Still doable without but it was a sweet combo, even if not intended.
is this not possible on a tauren? i will run half way out into the middle of the room and the mobs will stay on the top wall
Might be the bigger hit box? Try using www.wowhead.com/classic/item=6657/savory-deviate-delight
As a dwarf hunter its hard to jump with short legs
Try savory deviate delight. Pirates and Ninjas are both great jumpers :)
@@_Foobar will def try that
my biggest problem with this farm is remembering to switch back to Explosive Shot
I might have to make a weak aura for it :D
i just cant do this, no matter what i do, ive beena t it for a total of 4 hours and still, i know its a skill issue but i just dont have the damage :/
Try smaller pulls perhaps until you get the hang of it? Good luck!
Is this doable on a fresh 40, with like sub 300 gear score?
Have done a few trial boosts with guildies and beast pulls are where the xp is at.
@@dnaharis7037 More than SM:Cath 1-pull? I figure ulda is good for the drops, cath for the exp.
@@_Foobarhave not compared yet, my gut says cath probably more xp. Would come down to clear speed most likely. Ulda has been so shiny ive not done much SM
Think these are doable on frost mage? I know I used to do them at 60 on mine.
At least some of it will be, the main issue is I don't think you can do the casters so well as mage, since you have to be in line of sight to do the blizzards. At 60 it would be okay because you'd resist most of their casts, but at 40 they hit like a truck XD
when do you reset the dungeon? PLease elaborate
When you've killed all the troggs, i.e., after the flameweaver pull
@@_Foobar thx buddy, my pet dies so fast before i csn pull as many as i want but it works
@@_Foobar have you tried doing the boss?
yea idk i cant get past relic hunters, they still just shadow word pain me through the wall
Hmm I don't think they ever did that to me, perhaps try freezing trap one of them if they give you a lot of trouble, gives you a bit more time to kill before you die to dots. If you can burst down one, you can run out the portal to leash them, then you can heal up and finish the pull.
You can just freeze trap one, pet tank one, and boom 1. Run out on a kill a repeat. Takes a little bit of time but very doable
For the first 2 pulls, once i establish enough aggro, i put my pet on them and it helps immensely with killing them (:
I'll try using freezing thanks, don't know why I didn't think of that.
Does Chimera not refresh Wyvern after patch anymore?
Yeah they nerfed it right after I posted :( Pack is still doable, just takes a little longer
@@_FoobarI was not able to clear the pack since patch unfortunately, even though I did it first try every run before :/
They heal too much and swp ticks really hard. I'm gonna try with some health pots maybe that works
@@_Foobarokay I managed, need to fd now after killing first relic hunter tho. Thanks for the vid, espacially the triangle tactic helps a lot :)
@@lukaszromanski2558 Have you tried freezing trapping one of the relic hunters?
Might also be worth doing it with your pet out and lion over lone wolf
Yeah I would of been had explosive shot on after the boss.
You want chimera for the relic hunters, but then switch explosive shot. Important to burst relic hunters fast.
how long per run? and how much gold u earn per run?
Will vary a bit depending on whether you do one big pull or multiple small pulls. 20-30mins would be my estimation but will be more when you're learning of course. As for gold, per-run isn't really meaningful because some runs you get a massive item worth hundreds of gold, some runs you get only some cloth and silver and greens. Overall it is good gold though!
How Profitable is this? seems like a lot of work for very little return.
I cant avoid my pet getting dazed.
Where possible, try and have your pet face the mobs when they hit it, dash past what you can and let other mobs social aggro where you can, but at the end of the day, dazes do happen, esp. with mobs so much higher level.
How much you gs for solo dungeon sir.. ?
no gear requirement really, but of course the more the better.
can i run this farm as BM?
You can, none of it actually requires you to be surv, you'll just do less damage so will go a little slower.
1st time i try this iam a bit scary :)@@_Foobar
@@koschar185 takes a bit of getting used to, I'd recommend to start with pretty small pulls then when you can do those OK get bigger and bigger.
Good luck!
hey again i do pulls and i got it.But i die all the time in gnolls.I need more practise there...@@_Foobar
Certain classes get to have fun, nice
Yeah hunters have almost all the cool stuff now. Mages still have a little also though.
NZ reps
chur bro :D
Wyvern abuse gonna be nerfed
Yeah, wyvern sting no good anymore :(
The pull is still doable without it of course, just a little less awesomely.
Chimera doesn't extend Wyvern anymore. Good vid otherwise.
Yeah they nerfed it just after I released the vid :( Still very doable without the combo though
I'm not against that at all, i wanted to try it myself and wait for the 100% to XP my Hunt
But this kind of video lead to more Hunter nerfs, you know it right ? 😂 Imagine if another class than mage can do crazy aoe sh**, would be such a crime hahaha
Funny you say that, they nerfed wyvern sting+chimera shot combo like 10mins after the vid released. Then they buffed explodey shot so I think we good for now
yeah hunters need a 30% nerf
Haha not another one! We've had a few of those now :D
waste of time to pull the one single mob, just take it with others imo, I do that xD
I mean this footage was done with 0 gnomer gear, using the WSG revered bow and a mix of green BOEs with "of the monkey" and a few easy-to-farm pieces like www.wowhead.com/classic/item=217307/reveloshs-spaulders
I actually main a resto druid for raiding, so all the hunter content is done with pretty average gear.
