- Melanie Wahlberg, Speaker. Frequently, when faced with adversities, it can be easy to feel alone in the struggle or unsupported in the efforts to overcome the difficult circumstances. It would be so reassuring to know how to get through it all! The speaker is practitioner of Christian Science healing. In this talk, she discusses what she has found helpful in her practice of Christian Science healing: the fact that God’s powerful ideas are always with each of us every moment, wiping away fear and showing God’s love and care. We can feel the presence of God’s ideas in tangible ways, ways that change our lives for the better. She shares examples of healing.

i have to say this has been one of the best lectures I've watch, you touched base on ever principle of God without having to go into any detail or going off track with your lecture. Gods Spiritual Ideas says it all. This lecture has touch base with things that are going on with myself and has given me another way to think. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have listened to this Lecture before but it has been quite a while ago. I remember being impressed by it at the time. In hearing it again, am more deeply affected by the concepts you have shared and the purely loving way you express them. I think that, ,depending on whatever challenges we are going through at any given moment, our yearning for Truth enhances our receptivity to the Christ idea. I hope to listen to this again tonight and take notes for the ideas that have uplifted me so much today. Thank you for blessing us with your Divinely inspired reflections of Life, Truth, and Love. 🤗

It starts iwth exactly my probem: that is, a situation which seems to make it impossible to go forward in my demonstration of Christian Science and practice of healing through divine Love. I expect that I will find what I need by thinking about the points made in the lecture.

I'm very interested in CS. I just picked up science and health and find it very interesting and practical. However I'm coming from a traditional Protestant background and was wondering how does CS handle things like predestination and freewill? Romans chapter 9 would be a good example. Thank you!
Thank you for your question, Dustin. Mary Baker Eddy mentions predestination a couple of times in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Please refer to the book to see these quotes in context.
"The time is not distant when the ordinary theological views of atonement will undergo a great change, - a change as radical as that which has come over popular opinions in regard to predestination and future punishment." SH 24:15
"The science (so-called) of physics would have one believe that both matter and mind are subject to disease, and that, too, in spite of the individual’s protest and contrary to the law of divine Mind. This human view infringes man’s free moral agency; and it is as evidently erroneous to the author, and will be to all others at some future day, as the practically rejected doctrine of the predestination of souls to damnation or salvation. The doctrine that man’s harmony is governed by physical conditions all his earthly days, and that he is then thrust out of his own body by the operation of matter, - even the doctrine of the superiority of matter over Mind, - is fading out." SH 150:18
