  • Janet Hegarty, Speaker. Permanent, substantive change in our lives often needs more than a new look, a different job, or even a pill. To find lasting peace and even physical healing, we have to go deeper than just managing surface symptoms. Like a building needs a strong foundation, we can find a secure life foundation by discovering the unfailing source of our being. This source is the one, all-good God - not an unpredictable man in the sky who arbitrarily blesses some and condemns others, but Life and Love itself, the very Principle of everything real and good. Hegarty is a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science healing. The talk was sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Santa Monica, CA.
View amazing, verified healings of physical, emotional, financial problems & more. Prayer that Heals is based on The Bible and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Christian Science religion was founded by Mary Baker Eddy who wrote Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, first published in 1875. For more information, go to PrayerThatHeals.org.

Glad to help, Deborah! Here is a nice thought: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

    1. God is/was /will be always good.
    2. God is Spirit
    3. God doesn't stop unfolding his goodness in our lives.
    4. We need to perceive ourselves as God made us; spiritual, in His idea,
    5. Our source is good
    6. Connection with our foundation cannot be broken
    7. We are 100% spiritual
    8. Existence is all good; there is nothing other than good, all others are deceptions

Janet and Patricia woodard are very good. They are calm, humble and relaxed. I like CS because they only see good in everybody and everything.
Some religious teachers teach us about fear, shame, guilt, that we are sinners and they put heavy burden of guilt , self condemnation, shame on us.
The big stone from Jesus tomb and Lazarus tomb were rolled away for Jesus to come out and save the world and ascend to Heaven ( if He stayed burried in the tomb, His salvation work would not be valid), and for Lazarus to come out and be healed.
The stone represents wrong thinking, wrong perspective that there is good and evil. It is why God forbid Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden. But they can eat the fruit of the tree of Life, of God's goodness giving life to His creation.
It is necessary that we need to pray to God all the time to receive His grace, love, healing, protection and wisdom.

Of course, our foundation would be-- [ here's a 'fooler' !]--ABOVE !! troubles and instabilities. Turned Godward and saying "I'm NOT injured, unjusted," etc.---we find a basis, or foundation, for that Faith.
