As a husband to a Russian girl, I can say, after some time, with some certainty, that Russian women and American men are more computable than American Women/men and Russian man and American women are more compatible than Russian woman/man, this is because exactly what is desired by Russian women is what American men want, independent wife with own desires and independent salary, etc., and American women want what Russian man wants, submissive behavior, living off of man's income, etc. it's only a stereotype, but enough truth to be thought about, in addition when you have a foreign spouse, you try harder to ensure misunderstandings are understood because of cultural differences, honestly I think in most cases mixed marriages between Russian/Americans work out better than marriages with those from same country on both sides of the issue. Tanya, in the US we have a saying. "He brings home the bacon, she will cook it." I'm fine with giving my wife the paycheck and not having to worry about paying the bills. I realize things are changing everywhere in the world, but I would like to think that Russian women still hold on to the more traditional roles in a marriage. I think a lot of men miss that and see Russian women as ideal wives because they think all Russian women are old-school women like they were in the 40s or 50's TV shows like Donna Reed(The Donna Reed show), June Cleaver(Leave it to Beaver), or Carol Brady(The Brady Bunch). Of course there are a lot of attractive women in Russia, but I think the most important things is for men to find a good wife who is not busy dancing at the clubs or only focused on herself. A good wife is getting harder to find in the US these days; faithful, virtuous, good mother, good partner, responsible, and feminine.

Privet Tanya, very informative video. I just learned of your divorce, I am sorry to hear that, though I do not know what the situation was. I hope you are well. I hear a lot of chat from guys here in the US that Russian women are beautiful, but they only mean on the surface and unfortunately it is disrespectful in the way they look at Russian woman as objects. Russian women who take care of themselves are beautiful indeed, but also on the inside as well! I also find many Russian women very intellectual too. I find all this true with you as well Tanya as we have sort of met and known each other. My best and closest friend Marta, is a Russian woman who was a model for a short time, but about 5 years ago she quit that to go into teaching. I have told you about her before. She is married and all is well. She works and takes care of the domestic chores including cooking the meals. Her husband, who is actually super nice works in a computer company (He speaks no English). Even though somewhat traditional marriage her husband supports her in all ways and gives her plenty of space. He also appreciates the friendship she has with me. She is special, very intellectual and a beautiful person. I also work with her as an assistant to teach English to wonderful Russians. Her students are wonderful and they love her and sometimes send messages of appreciation to me through her. Her students are mostly female and average age is around early 30s to 40s, but she has younger ones at times. I have noted that Sergey has done and does a lot of help raising his daughter Victoria. She is turning out really well. She loves both her parents, doing well in her studies and is kind-hearted. She is very inquisitive and loves learning. (I get to give her messages on occasion). Sergey and Albina have done well raising her. Another friend of mine runs a Vlog called Different Russia, Her name is Valeria and her husband is Alex. They are older, but the kind of people you would want as neighbors. She speaks very good English and her husband is starting to learn it. He's not consistent, but he is doing ok, he can now speak a few phrases. He's great too, very handy. He built their dacha! He's an engineer. Nothing is more endearing than the Russian accent in my opinion. (The language is musical to my ears). It's not just the accent, but also the Russian genuineness and heart. It makes for the best friends one could ever have! All societies have their quirks, but in the end we are all equal with the same desires and problems and such. Spasibo Tanya. Take care, Eric

Oh, I'm just kidding, for sure the roles of men and women in the family have changed quite a bit over time, I think I do more cooking than my wife.......but I like cooking also......Everyone is different, marriage should be a commitment of support for getting thru life's issues, and this would be different for each couple.

Tanya, in the US we have a saying. "He brings home the bacon, she will cook it." I'm fine with giving my wife the paycheck and not having to worry about paying the bills. I realize things are changing everywhere in the world, but I would like to think that Russian women still hold on to the more traditional roles in a marriage. I think a lot of men miss that and see Russian women as ideal wives because they think all Russian women are old-school women like they were in the 40s or 50's TV shows like Donna Reed(The Donna Reed show), June Cleaver(Leave it to Beaver), or Carol Brady(The Brady Bunch). Of course there are a lot of attractive women in Russia, but I think the most important things is for men to find a good wife who is not busy dancing at the clubs or only focused on herself. A good wife is getting harder to find in the US these days; faithful, virtuous, good mother, good partner, responsible, and feminine.
The thing is that Russian women were never stay at home wives. That's a western value. We also served in combat alongside men

But devorce rate in Russia is about 73% for 2020. As you see, old traditions do not help.

I hear a lot of chat from guys here in the US that Russian women are beautiful, but they only mean on the surface and unfortunately it is disrespectful in the way they look at Russian woman as objects. Russian women who take care of themselves are beautiful indeed, but also on the inside as well! I also find many Russian women very intellectual too. I find all this true with you as well Tanya as we have sort of met and known each other.
My best and closest friend Marta, is a Russian woman who was a model for a short time, but about 5 years ago she quit that to go into teaching. I have told you about her before. She is married and all is well. She works and takes care of the domestic chores including cooking the meals. Her husband, who is actually super nice works in a computer company (He speaks no English). Even though somewhat traditional marriage her husband supports her in all ways and gives her plenty of space. He also appreciates the friendship she has with me. She is special, very intellectual and a beautiful person. I also work with her as an assistant to teach English to wonderful Russians. Her students are wonderful and they love her and sometimes send messages of appreciation to me through her. Her students are mostly female and average age is around early 30s to 40s, but she has younger ones at times.
I have noted that Sergey has done and does a lot of help raising his daughter Victoria. She is turning out really well. She loves both her parents, doing well in her studies and is kind-hearted. She is very inquisitive and loves learning. (I get to give her messages on occasion). Sergey and Albina have done well raising her.
Another friend of mine runs a Vlog called Different Russia, Her name is Valeria and her husband is Alex. They are older, but the kind of people you would want as neighbors. She speaks very good English and her husband is starting to learn it. He's not consistent, but he is doing ok, he can now speak a few phrases. He's great too, very handy. He built their dacha! He's an engineer.
Nothing is more endearing than the Russian accent in my opinion. (The language is musical to my ears). It's not just the accent, but also the Russian genuineness and heart. It makes for the best friends one could ever have! All societies have their quirks, but in the end we are all equal with the same desires and problems and such.
