    Thank you - perfect timing. I am tomorrow attending a small Russian wedding at the Russian embassy in London :) your background and explanations are very helpful. Very much like your videos - keep up the great work.

    I noticed that the wedding rings go on the right hand unlike us in North America.

    • @russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079
      @russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      absolutely right. And also there is not a very common rule that divorced russian people wear rings on the left.

    I've shot several hundred wedding videos, and can attest to the fact it is no easy task to edit a wedding day down to under 10 minutes. You did an absolutely wonderful job of it...better than I ever did, haha! Very interesting to watch. The ceremony video was very similar to what I have seen in Russian movies. And, the reception video could have very easily been any one of the hundreds I've been to in the U.S....the only difference is the language spoken. Then again, I've been to some in my city where most guests were speaking Russian. ;) Great work on this video!

      wow I'm glad that something surprised you and something seemed familiar. I myself love to find similarities between cultures. Is there a ransom in American wedding culture?

    • @SnifferCustoms
      @SnifferCustoms 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@russianblogbytanyaandriyan4079 I don't remember seeing a pre-wedding ransom as in your video, but rather the same type of questions done after the wedding as a "game" at the reception. It now makes sense to see it done as in your video, before the ceremony, and I can imagine this is where it came from. I like the "ransom" as you have shown...much more fun!

    That is very interesting, congratulations to your sister and Kolya. There are several parts of the wedding ceremony that are familiar. The garter is one to make me wonder - how did this get started anyway? Thanks for the video, this is the first time I have seen a Russian wedding.

    Yeah that is very different from a wedding in the US. But I wouldn’t mind crashing it 😂 Those Slavic women are very attractive.👌🏾

    Thanks for posting this. My son getting married soon in Atlanta, GA. Ceremony is 100% different here, so much planning and rehearsals, it is big business here based on this. And there are strict rules about who's paying for what! I find it archaic and barbarian!
