@@chromso well, we're mostly spectators of melee and smash in general, so we don't actually play the game a lot and as an ultimate player it was a good learning experience.

@Gary Oak Not quite. After recent buffs she's become very optimal. Still though, the fact that her bair turns her around is quite stupid. Oh well. Guess that's just my opinion.
Gary Oak it’s all relative. If you were to put any given ultimate character into melee, they would be the worst character in the game. I’m not saying that puff is a higher tier in ultimate than in melee, but I think that’s his argument.

This is the truth. I used to stress myself out trying to get good enough to compete in tournaments, but now I realize what made the game matter to me was not if I was good, but that I could have so much fun playing people who were my level. Also, loved watching melee of course.

IDK for me, the fact I can get so good at the game by practicing is what makes it fun! Everything else is a really good bonus tho!

It’s great that you have that mentality, nobody has it anymore. Everybody just goes into friendlies, camps in the corner, gimps the other person at 0 then pops off and congratulated themselves at how good they are because they gimped someone who doesn’t know how to play 4 times in friendlies. This game is so sick but like everything else, the community fucking blows. They’re really friendly and nice don’t get me wrong but everyone screams melee is so sick while they cheer for wizzy stomping for 30 minutes on a platform against hbox then call it an achievement. Yeah bro it’s so sick let’s ban wobbling because it’s lame but me trying to time the opponent out every game isn’t lame it’s just optimal I’m so cool let’s go melee.

Ya know, I've watched this video just about once a week, every week, since it came out. And every time I spend half the video hyped up from the amazing stories and gameplay, and the other half I spend tearing up from the emotional moments and sacrifices that the players and the community has made.
I thought that it would be appropriate just to say thank you like everyone else and let you know that I think that you and your videos have done so much for the melee community. Your videos show the absolute best of the players and the people and this game.
When I watch this video, I think of all the work that people have put in to keep this community alive. I think that Bobby Scar, if he ever saw this video, would be extremely proud of the effort that you put into being a positive representative of the melee community by highlighting the things that make us love the game.
