Soak the wooden skewers first before threading on the food, that way they will not burn on the grill. Definitely going to try the rice salad. Best wishes to you from Australia.
I love to see you wearing your baby. My son loved his wrap when he was an infant and I loved being able to have him next to my heart. It brings back such loving memories for me! 💙
I’m;over these types of videos Laura, it inspires me to cook different meals for my family, I only wished my kids were as adventurous as yours to try new foods. My husband isn’t too picky and will eat anything but my 4 year old is the pickiest of eaters. I love all those meals you made, and I love watching you carry your baby 😊
Enjoy that baby close to you as long as you can. We didn’t do wraps when my boys were babies. Wish sooooo much I could go back and do over! Wonderful food, wonderful mom you are!!!😊
Am a new follower from Algeria .I have just discovered your channel and love it so much ! It is so beautiful ! I also love your recipes they are so healthy!! Your children are so lucky to have a mum like you who cares about their health .lots of love
I came from a family of eight. We had no running water and cooked three large meals everday. We did tons of canning. Silo filling added two harty lunches in addition to the three meals. We didn't have air conditioning. Times were hard.
Hi Laura, I cook a lot of the same foods that you cooked this week. I do want to try that hamburger soup. It looks so great! Ty for all the great meals you share.
Loved this video. I had the very same shrimp, garlic, tomato and chilli pasta at a pub this week! I would love to make it at home but my husband is allergic to fish. I made some stuffed peppers the other day for a change. Years ago I always had my younger daughter in a baby sling while I was cooking, it kept her happy and calm (she's now 42!).
Sadly, I won't inspire you at all because I do not like to cook at all. I only have to cook for my husband and I so it shouldn't be so daunting. However, YOU sure do inspire me to at least try something new. The difficulty I face is that my husband works retail so he rarely knows what time he will be showing up to the house. So to try and keep a meal warm or not over cooked is a challenge. You make cooking look so natural and for me it is not. Thank you for sharing your meal ideas. You are like a cooking machine and make everything look so effortless. Your family is so blessed to have you as their mother!! God bless!!
Everything looks yummy! Definitely want to try the shrimp pasta! It reminded me of a clam spaghetti that my mom used to make🤤. Thank you for the ideas!
My little ones do not lay down without me for the first 8-12mos. Their naps are with me or on me. I honestly would like to have them nap without me sometimes but they wake as soon as I am out of reach and it goes against my maternal instincts to let them cry so this mama spends 90% of her day wearing a baby!
I live right on the coast in NSW Australia. We have seafood in abundance in this area. I do not eat anything out of the ocean but my husband loves the variety he can get straight off the trawlers .
Another great video! That shrimp and pasta looks delicious! My hubby is a picky eater but I could make this just for me!😊 You move smoothly through your kitchen like a finely choreographed dance. Your meals always look delish. I wish that I had had a baby wrap when mine were little. As you said, it’s hard to get things done AND hold a baby. Who wouldn’t want a sleeping precious one close to your heart while doing things for your home and family? That would’ve been a game changer for me. I had to put my son in a carrier, take the laundry basket outside to the clothesline, go back and get him, return to the clothesline, hang the clothes, then carry him and the basket back into the house. Whew! I’m tired just remembering that! Work smarter not harder! I also envy you using your Instant Pot so easily. I have had one for almost two years and still can’t figure it out!🤦🏻♀️ I would love to make stock, yogurt, roasts, etc. Love your channel! BTW, I use your essential oils recipes for cleaners and the lady I clean for is obsessed with how wonderful they clean and how wonderful her home smells when I’m done! Thank you for sharing those with us!!!
Is there a way you could bring your herb box inside or transplant the herbs into some pots and put them in the dining room or in the kitchen somewhere.
I am making stuffed sausage tomorrow. It is a delicious recipe I saw on the TH-cam channel Catherine's Plates. I highly recommend it! It is so tasty and easy. I am new-ish to your channel. I am really enjoying your content. All your recipes look so yummy. You make cooking look easy. You're a natural! 😍
Yummy! Im going to try your shrimp and pasta! Making chicke pot pie today actually 😂. Baby boy looks like he's growing like a little weed. Those cute baby legs are getting longer, lol.Just love your vlogs, and your sisters.I have 6 daughters,so I love vlogs like yours! Have a blessed weekend! Hugs from Kansas City area😊❤
Hey, I've watched you for many years and love your recipes for food, soaps etc. And I have learned a lot. Can you tell us why you always hold your babies? How often do you put them down?
Hi! What kind of coconut oil do you fry the chicken in? Is it deodorized? If not, do you not mind the coconut flavour? Thank you Later edit: not for this recipe in particular, but in general when you just serve fried chicken or other meats. Thank you!
Love your content and ideas ! However, these are not kebabs but brochettes. And yes, you should water the skewers before using them so that the juices of the meat and veggies do not stick to them … 😉 I do these brochettes in the oven and the combinations of meats, veggies and fruits is endless and everyone loves them ! ❤
Those gummy vitamins also contain natural flavors. There is very little on the shelves these day that doesn't contain that one toxic ingredient. Makes a person wonder why EVERYTHING has natural flavors in it and it's very toxic.
I always thought the word “natural” flavours, it meant it was untouched, it was exactly how it was in fruit or something but I’ve heard a few people saying it’s not a good thing to see that listed…maybe I’ll look into it further…
I feel blessed to see you caring for the family God has blessed you with. I asked my 11 yr old granddaughter what she is thinking of doing when she grows up....her reply was Grandma! I'm going to be a mom...I'm going to have 7 kids! I hope God gifts her with her dream. She has always been a love baby dolls girl❤
I like the content and vibes of this channel because I'm interested in clean cooking and using everyday ingredients. But I come to these videos as a professional woman whose two sons are adults and long gone from our home; one of my sons is trans and the other is on the spectrum. I keep wondering where the men are in this world--men, sons, brothers, boyfriends, lovers as companions and partners in child reading, cooking, and the home. I watch these videos and get a sense of whiplash; this is a woman-as-mother-only world where men do not provide meaning as men who can nurture and be masculine in the home. It's honestly a little discomforting, at the same time that the recipes and the sustainable aspect are much appreciated. And I also always wonder how non-normative kids experience such a family; it's really a genuine question I have. I would love to hear how gay kids, trans kids, etc. are being supported.
i made3 comment to you about baby in the wrap its lovely you having him close to you it just bothers me you usign a big knife and coking with him on you if somethign spits out of ythe pan the first thing it will hit is baby not being mean just care xxkathy xx
Baby wearing is a very normal part of the culture for thousands, if not millions, around the world. And they do everything wearing baby. In some cultures babies literally do not get put down until 6 months old so women do everything with baby on them. For someone who isn't used to it I can understand why you might be cautious about it but this is her 7th baby and I'm sure she did the same with at least some of her others. I also did the same with my 5. Obviously she's comfortable doing it so no need to keep worrying for her! If it's so concerning for you maybe don't watch her videos anymore.
So pregnant women shouldn’t cook either then? You do realize that the baby is right in front of the stove also when women are pregnant. If you live your life afraid of everything in life fine, but do you really need everyone else to conform to your unreasonable expectations? Do you think it’s appropriate to ask other people to adapt to soothe your personal feelings and fear?
Yep, but there are only 2 adults. The little girl is the eldest and she’s only 10ish I think, if that. The little boys are small and probably eat like little birds for now. Watch out later on though, lol. I always thought the same as you, but she probably doesn’t like leftovers and cooks just enough. I cannot imagine her and her sister cooking 3 large meals a day. I have a hard time with dinner every night and we’re just 2 of us. Super hard workers and so driven. (I’m certainly not related to either of them, lol.)
I thought the same thing, no way would that amount of chicken and bell peppers for that curry feed a big family, maybe its just lunch for a couple of them for demonstration purposes? The quantites would never work for a several hungry kids and a hungry husband.
I love the concept of “wearing the baby” but it looks so uncomfortable for the baby with those poor little legs hanging losing circulation and not allowed to move….
I was a foster mom and the superb attachment health you are giving those babies even just in that first year - incredible. Such a gift.

Keep up these great videos Laura. Love seeing all your children and the way you do life
I love all your videos and all that good home cooking ❤
I came from a family of eight. We had no running water and cooked three large meals everday. We did tons of canning. Silo filling added two harty lunches in addition to the three meals. We didn't have air conditioning. Times were hard.
Every meal looked scrumptious! ❤
Aww baby getting long 💙, So blessed , Im enjoy watching ideas of meals you making , yum 😋

I love watching your cooking videos. They give me so many ideas on what to cook. ❤
Hi Laura, I cook a lot of the same foods that you cooked this week. I do want to try that hamburger soup. It looks so great! Ty for all the great meals you share.
HAPPY FRIDAY Laura, family, fur babies, and feathered friends. Thanks for the recipes. ENJOY YOUR LABOR DAY WEEKEND. STTB

What a super vlog thankyou for the inspiration x x❤
All the meals look delicious! I haven’t made chicken pot pie in a while - will have to soon.
❤ Great meals - made me hungry for dinner at breakfast time. 😂

Great meals! Enjoy the variety of meals you prepare:)
Do you have a recommendation on where to get good healthy butter?
Move your herb bed in house for winter and keep it growing
The shrimp meal was to die for and I loved the chicken pot pie too👍🏻❤️

Only thing I cringe about at is when you have your sweet baby in your wrap and near the stove.
Good morning from NC
Where’s the link to buy meat from your sister?
God bless
Yummy
😅this looks delicious, however it doesn’t look like enough food for your large family 😊
Some little kids don't eat much. Depending on how large the kids appetites are, this looks fine to me.
