AND Morgans hold their value exceptionally well, some of them actually go up in value, so I bet the total cost of ownership on these is actually incredibly low compared to say an ordinary "nice" car like a BMW 5-series, which will drop a bunch of value as soon as you drive it away from where you purchased it!

While the fighter plane reference is appropriate, it'd likely be just the one for when the driver was texting and didn't realize the light was green.
Morgan 3wheelers may be a motorcycle type back-road cruising experience and beautifully balanced, but the factory engine (89kw/136nm), drive wheel traction (only ~31% of the slightly over 550kg curb weight) means even with the short gearing that makes ratios so fun to switch through low speed corners, it won't exactly drag racing anything. You can unironically launch any a base spec golf (or basically any of the other post 2015 euro hatches with more than 1400cc) harder and get a simlar 0-60, or for the bigger sedans any of the BMW/Merc v8's since the 90's will finish a quarter faster. The Morgan was just never about producing good on paper numbers or shaving tenths off a track time reliably, instead its an experience, a look/uniqueness that no factory sport package can bring to a cookie cutter commuter car, and for that reason I dearly hope they can find a way to keep them safe and clean enough to maintain some limited production for the next decade or so... but your not gaining any trophies in it anytime soon.

Jay, if there ever was an award to give to a man who has done more for raising the awareness of motorcars of all kinds, then you should be given a lifetime achievement award! You are filled with so much knowledge and have rescued so many divergent types of vehicles and then take the time to share this with us on your shows across all media. You are a world treasure to the motorcar world! Thank you for what you do and the man you are! Many of us love cars and don't have the means to do what you do and we live vicariously through you. You are the best and thank you for what you do and the obviously high standards you undertake with each car you save - and - the best part is that you drive these vehicles and appreciate them instead of just letting them sit to be dusted by someone else. I would never have cared much for this particular three-wheeled car, but you raise the bar and show us why it is noteworthy!

This is a dream car of mine. It's the antidote of the sterile modern automotive industry, where everything has to be "smart" and efficient. I saw one at a car show once and it was sad to see nobody paying attention to it, it was surrounded by motorcycles which are much more of the liking of the average person. I will probably never be able to own one, but driving it in Assetto Corsa is so much fun. Just seeing the thumbnail put a huge smile in my face, like few things do these days. Back in my racing days, I had a guy on my team who was a Vietnam "Graduate." He was from the same city in Wisconsin as me, but te said, after a few months in 'Nam, if the temperature dropped to the 70s, he'd bundle up in a flight jacket and gloves whenever he had to leave his hooch---which was heated by a 50 gallon drum stove fired with aviation gas. It drove home the meaning of "acclimatized." I've also heard native Floridians can tell non natives at a glance by whether or not they have beads of sweat on their faces---and now, in my Old Age, I have my thermostat set at 76 and find myself shivering. Yikes. "Aging is not for wimps," is so true! Stay safe.

    Hi Mr Leno,
Morgan has a new 3 wheeler, the super 3. Having fun driving is not just about the car, it's also about the roads. In Quebec, we have the most thrilling roads in the Laurentians Mountains. Narrow roads with a succession of curves going up and down like a roller coaster that will make you feel like a kid again. Even if we are in a northern climate, we have more than just three days to enjoy riding in an open cockpit, but if you only have three days, I could show you around! Have a nice day!

These are cool little cars, and look great fun to drive on open country roads. Another reason for the 3 wheel configuration was that, in the UK, you can drive a three wheeled car on a motorcycle license, you don't need to have a full car license.
I actually have two small framed photos on my wall of my great grandfather sitting in his three wheeled Morgan two seater runabout, from around 1915/16, reg no, LR 2390. Small, inexpensive cars like this enabled many lower income families to enjoy motoring for the first time.
