    Thanks for the tip, 285 Falkens really get close to top of that fender, almost scared to hit a bump.

    How are you liking them so far? Seriously considering adding these to the front of my 98 LX which is HEAVY. Adding the Timbrens to the rear, but can't afford to add the Timbren to the front as well.

      I love them ... i need to do a follow up video. They’ve held up on and off road. I haven’t rubbed the fender liner since the install.

    Man, you always seem to make a video on stuff I'm thinking about too LOL. I used to bottom out all the time. I had those same Methods in black, but I thought it was because of the 0 offset wheel, and that I went to 285's. I've since gone back to a 275 running on Icons. The Icons have a +25mm offset. I'm definitely thinking of getting these bump stops when I do my suspension upgrade. Are they still holding up? Question: how did you get the front caps on your wheels?

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Big Empty _ Lol...These hump stops are holding up great. I wish I would’ve installed these as soon as I got the wheels and tires. As for the Method center caps, I they are a cap for a Tundra. I have the part number if want it. Thanks again for watching!

      First of all... thank you for watching the video. These bump stops are great, they haven’t cracked or failed me. They almost feel like a hydraulic bump. They’re a great bump stop for the price.

      Thanks for watching the video! They’re holding up great. I only put them on the front because I figured that two would be one too many according to some threads on the mud. I still have the stock bumps in as well. Check out my suspension video. I have a camera angle that shows the suspension cycling.

    @LXPlore The 100 series LC uses 4 bump stops in the front, 2 per side. I got one set of timbren active off-road and one set of wheeler's but, I had some problems. The timbren's and the wheeler's are very different in length. After talking to my mechanic, he recommended getting both sets of the same length since having different lengths can put stress on some components. I am going to recommend the same to you. I will get another set of wheeler's. the timbren active offroad bump stops are 225 dollars, I can't justify getting another set. I just put less than 50 miles on the ones I have. I will take them off. If someone is interested in them, they can let me know, we can make a deal.

    Thanks for the video. Did you measure how much travel you lose?

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching the video. I wish I would’ve measured. I would have to say the lose is minimal or even negligible. The Wheeler bumps compress a lot and act like a progressive spring. I also added SPC uppers and probably gained some down travel. Check out my suspension video. I have some slow motion video of the suspension cycling.

    Thanks for the tip. Are these worth getting if you still have AHC in use.?

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Enrique Sonora I would say no if your AHC is working properly. Are your wheels hitting your fender well?

    • @bcastane1
      @bcastane1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LXPlore Is there a reason why you should not add them if your AHC is still working properly? Is it due to the LOW setting? I put in 34's on stock suspension and every now and then I get some minor rub on the fender well.

    • @LXPlore
      @LXPlore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bcastane1 yeah not sure I would install them to an LX if the AHC is working. Do you have your AHC modified to ride in the high position all of the time? There’s too many sensors and I think run the risk of destroying your AHC. Your running issue could be a bunch of different things. The wheel offset, the torsions are tired, the torsions need to be reindexed, you’re driving it a little hard with large tires. Hope that helped

      @dougkikuta4138 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I know this is 3 years later, but I have a well maintained and functional AHC system that's completely stock. I installed these bumpstops and they work great! I ran some pretty difficult trails which made the ride extremely rough, but with these bumpstops, it made the ride much better with much less noticeable suspension crash over higher speed whoops bumps. On road, feels no different than stock. Hope that helps if you still have your rig and haven't yet tried them out.

      @@LXPlore hey John, I put them on earlier today and since I still have the AHC I did notice they make constant contact with the lower control arms. I did notice they make the comfort mode feel a bit more the like the sport mode just not as stiff. My only concern is if and how this will affect the hydrolic pressures. My ultimate goal is an Ironman 4x4 stage 3 lift but rhats after the AHC fails. Going to do a truck trail to see if they solve the bottoming out issue with the Falken 285's. Also got a AZ trip planned, Phenix, Flagstaff and Sedona next month.
