Hey guys! I appreciate your fire safety videos 🙏 just wanted to point out that the ammo canister that was holding the fuel was left open after it was used. I've always been taught if there's fuel in it to always make sure it's closed immediately after each use to prevent any issues.
This is awesome!!! thank you guys is just what I was looking for. I recently moved to the Sacred Valley in Peru, this opened my mind to new possibilities and the opportunity to go deep into my spiritual work ... I found out that connecting with fire is great energy work for me ... soon later I met this girl who travels doing Fire POI ... and boom! I felt the call, I've got to learn this!!!
This is great. The only thing I would add is that while dipping the props, be sure not to dip the tethers. Only the heads. Less important if using chain but a good thing to be sure of. And woild it not be a better idea to spin off before lighting the props? Ive seen freshly lit props throw lit fuel.
If you dont wanna wait for it to drip-dry (for lack of better word) put said prop in a zipblock bag and seal it really tight and spin it for a few seconds (like 5)
@@sacredflowart What you say is true, because once the fuel is burnt their is no danger of it building up and becoming a fire risk. Also, when performing on concrete unburnt fuel can make the area very slippery, particularly if the ground is wet.
Very nice video guys! Keep up the good work. One comment about the towel that might be important: when folding the tower around the tools NEVER fold towards a person (you or anybody else). For the first folding the flames will be pushed out towards the open side of the towel, kinda trying to escape it.
Wow! When I remember the first time I saw poi - it was lit on fire. And there were 2 people spinning at the same time. We were in the woods, lots of grass, lots of dry pine twigs that burn fast and fiercely! We were stoned pretty nicely...Good Lord!...Nothing bad happened then and now - almost 4 years later I can only remember the enormous jaw drop that I had...I was amazing! I'm approaching the point when I'll spin fire for the first time. I'm a bit nervous. In our county we have a saying "With fire you must not play jokes". I've taken it to heart. I plan my first fire spin to be on the shore while I'm ankle deep in the waters :D Thank you for the video! Just one question: Why when I watch live fire performances - like those of Nevisoul, Yuta or Vojta - they are never seen do the "Burn of" ? They just get in to it :)
You should be able to soak at an angle avoiding fuel drips down your staff handle. And if you're looking for a new fire staff, check out our selection! sacredflowart.com/product-category/staffs/fire-staffs/
PSI: Don't use red fire extinguisher on people who are on fire that will result in chemical burns, please only use the blue fire extinguishers on people !
Aussie burner here. Kero works but some people hate the smell. Odorless fuel is usually nicer imo. Threeworlds sells 'firelight' fuel which is completely odorless and burns very brightly and isn't too pricey.
All is very good, but I highly suggest not using a wet/damp safety towel to put out props. The steam from the fire can burn hands very quickly. A dry safety blanket is perfectly fine, only need to suffocate the fire.

Great point! And thanks for watching!
You can put your soaked fire poi into a ziplock bag, seal it off, spin it around for 20 seconds, that will remove excess fuel as well.
Love this tutorial, hellll yeah!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I love your cat. And you guys! Thank you!
Thanks for watching Alicia! 🙏

Thanks for sharing your story Sasha!
I know people who have plastic bags with them and they push/press the pois/rope dart inside it so access liquid goes off...
Always spin off, also please explain PASS for the extinguisher, pull aim squeeze sweep!
This is awesome anybody have recommendations for staff how to soak without disassembly

I’ve heard paraffin oil works well as a fuel source too. What do you guys think?
All fuels have their perks and disadvantages. See our fuel comparison video on the channel for more info!
