God I wish I had seen this when I first fractured my ankle. I was released from the hospital and could not get any appointment to see a doctor for six weeks. Unbelievable right, but true. I was on a medicare advantage program and couldn't go out of the network. You are a god send.
Seems like everytime i get back from PT, a Bob and Brad video related to what my physical therapist was helping me with pops up. I have pretty much nothing in my left ankle, so I'm excited to get started with some of these easier ones.
When I sprained my ankle, "The Boot" is what got me out of the rut. Although I also was dealing with Lymes disease (it exploits your joints, especially once they become enflamed( in addition to brain fog and negative thoughts). The Boot allowed my ankle to heal in about 2-3 weeks time. That was about 11 years now.
Great informative video as always, you previously helped me recover faster from ankle injury Now it’s time for that jumper’s knee injury 😅 Thank you for all the efforts you put into getting the knowledge out
How is that working out for you? I broke my ankle in 3 places just got the cast off. I need to be able to walk in my heels again lol! So I’m out here researching on what to do. Between now and 3 weeks until therapy starts.
Hello! First of all, thanks for your videos, really helpful. I've sprained my left ankle two weeks ago! Went to the hospital! Doctor told me I'd be walking after one week without any problems! Now I am able to walk, however, my left foot still hurts and doesn't feel normal like the right one! I'd like to know if these exercises are enough to recover and how often should I do them?? And if it's worth visiting a physical therapist or is it enough doing them by myself? Thanks in advance!!
You all are awesome! What do you do if you just found out you have a fracture in the posterior malleous? I sprained my ankle 1 1/2 weeks ago. They took an x-ray negative. Next week not getting better and went in for an MRI. That showed a fracture of the posterior inferior malleous? Not sure if it’s medial or lateral?Haven’t been able to get in to see an orthopedic until Thursday. Been walking on it thinking a bad sprain and ligaments and tendons need weight-bearing to repair. Well...not the case. It feels so painful still and especially when laying down elevated. I feel like I have done something more to prevent healing. I have been non-weight bearing after work. Just prop, elevate and the ice. It has been starting to pop now when I walk. . Advice? Should I buy an air boot?
I fractured both ankles (fracture of medial malleolus of distal tibia) with lots of soft tissue injury in automobile accident two weeks ago. I am red head and react strongly to injuries, swelling in horrible, like balloons when unable to elevate causing pain in boots and brace. Got the okay to start weight bearing in air boot. No mention of PT, When should I ask for physical therapy?
Perfect timing, friend of mine was playing pickleball last week, stepped on the ball and rolled her ankle. No fracture, but she's bruised and swollen. I'll forward your video to her, thank you guys! Btw, how would you rehab a finger joint that got rolled back (subluxated)?
Do you guys have any videos on tendonosis in the gluteus medius. I injured this 5 years ago and the left side of my hip is lower than my right causing all kinds of pain.
can you guys make a video about back pain beetween the shoulders? I spend most of the day sitting on a desk, and with this pain is really had to be productive
Please what should I do I got an ankle sprain I fell in the bathroom. Today makes it one week. Is still swollen on the outside. It still painful what drug should I take for the pain and swallowing to go away? Please 🙏 reply thank you
It is the pain when standing. Saw the ortho and no fractures . The boot has not helped me stand on foot. Hope your recommendations help. You know I'l check all your videos. Getting to the bathroom is almost impossible because of pain. Graditude that it wasn't at the hip.
Resistant bands is your best choice. Toe calf raises, eversion with resistance, ankle circles, one leg stands (progress to eyes closed), Doris flexion resisted, calf stretches, one leg stand with opposite leg doing a clock 12,3,6,9 for Dorsi flexion and balance - there’s many more but I’ve sprained my ankle and they’re the most common and recommended. Always focus on stretch and mobility before strength and balance. Don’t be lazy on them- minimum 3/4 times a week Start with low CONTROLLED QUALITY repititions then when you can run and hop without pain, start doing them until failure :)
In my opinion you guys are the best PTs ever 😊
Agreed 👍

Can you please do a video on incorrect foot pronation during exercise? Thx
Can you take this to ankle replacement. I’m non weight baring for another week then to a walking boot for 4 weeks then it can start physical therapy.

Is it normal 3 week after surgery and to only get to B?
At 7:12, define "young" :)
6:05 I think you meant inversion planter flexion not Eversion 🙃
Amazing video regardless
Thanks, Karen.
I sit and put my feet together. Wrap a orange band around the front of the feet and move the front of the feet away from Each other. Easy
I have a weak right angle. HELP

Great for anyone who has played basketball against "The Professor" 😂
Your duo is like, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson
Too bad they don’t explain how long each phase is 🤷♂️
OMG 😍💋 💝💖❤️
No one has time for a 15 minute video
When you have sprained your ankle then you want and should make the time. It’s a time when one should slow down and focus on healing.
