Great impressions after a few listens of the album. Tales is one of my favorite Q songs now. Other standout tracks to me are CrasH and Attention. Everyone on the TDE team deserves to win! I can't lie I love the beat selections throughout the album but for some of the beats I felt like q was going to snap like the old q but he went a bit easy and let the beat live.
I thought the exact opposite that the beat selection was mostly ( not all ) kinda forced and didn't give enough room for Q to snap. like die wit em for example. Just like full on in yo face. Crash ( personal favorite) on the opposite e.g. had an amazing beat and totally vibed with his flow on the same energy

Obviously Hip-Hop don't always use traditional instruments but y'all know what I mean. But rappers think of themselves as just rappers. Nah, you technically a vocalist. Don't play yourself down. You rap, yeah, but you're not reading words. You're using a tempo, creating a flow, there's timing, etc. Because then I could say I don't agree with most shit some rappers say. I ain't from the streets. I lived in them and moved around a lot but who the fuck am I to sit here and embrace that shit. I just love how some rappers sound especially on a dope beat.
