Hearing an artist you already like talk about the kind of dude he wants his daughter to be with and how important it is for men to admit mistakes and be open to learning from life gives me a lot of hope in a lotta ways. Q shouldn't feel that way about the acceptance of the Blank Face LP. Hands down his best work. People were expecting the continuation from Oxymoron. Easily embraced by true ScHoolboy Q fans as a true classic album. Just overlooked like Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt were when both albums were released.
I remember being one of the only ppl that bought both albums when they came out especially b/c west coast ppl didn't want to support the east coast (due to that stupid tupac/bad boy beef). Anybody who doesn't think illmatic was overlooked is a liar or wasn't actually buying hip hop in the 90s, lol it sold lousy and got no radio play. It was only appreciated over time by most ppl despite being an instant classic.
Blank Face is my favorite album and I replay it often. I was surprised to hear this, as it's timeless. I think it just went over people's heads. HOWEVER, time will show that this it's one of the best albums in rap. I hope Q understands this now.

He eventually walked off telling us maybe next time. Saw him during the championship tour too and it was fly so yea he needs to be more confident on stage even if the crowd ain't with him. Glad to see him realizing it's not that important because his gonna be loved and respected in the hip hop community forever.
Blank Face is soooo underrated! People don’t appreciate good music anymore
I was just thinking this the other day
Im white and Blank Face is one of my fav albums? @leo mendoza
Oxymoron too ! Both of those albums are lowkey classics
Tookie Knows was and is one of my favourite songs. "We might die for this shit n*gga".
I agree
It honestly irritates me how much scHoolboy Q is slept on....
Fr
fr tho
💯💯💯
That just lets u kno how slept on Mac is
This interview couldn't have come at a more perfect time... I needed this!🔥🙏🏾🔥
cTHagod just became the Male oprah out here. Awesome interview from the both of you. And Q the album 🔥🔥🔥
@16:10 Q talking about Nipsey and Mac Miller 😭😪 RIP this is the first time I ever seen Q get emotional like this made me want to cry.
LAINACITA He proved me wrong. I used to think real gs dont cry n shit. But when I look at him, I be like Damn, everybody is a human, u feel me?
Yall try to get a fix on this topic
I had been real sad for months about Mac, and watching this allowed me to cry and I felt like it was important for me to cry. Also cried at some point during Nips funeral stream that shit was beautiful.
Q is a real one, in terms of authenticity and innovation. CrasHtalk will be on play until the next project. Also, please help Isaiah Rashad find a topic and get his new project out asap
brooo Isaiah last project was Legendary, so hell yes please let him find a topic.
Sneaky bar
he working with illmatic
sirdubious30 wait has Isaiah not started cooking the album yet?
@@theosol1 he probably been drinking again
Watching this interview and seeing how much Q opened up and released built up pain and other topics he’s never spoken upon really made me happy for the man. Big ups to Charlemagne for being there for Q to even allow this interview to happen 💯
“I woke up one day and I was 250 lbs” lmao
This is how an interview should be conducted real conversation with real people i love how honest this is two beautiful black men articulating their thoughts and feelings we need this nothing but love ❤
Schoolboy Q deserves the most mtfn respect In the rap game!!
Hearing an artist you already like talk about the kind of dude he wants his daughter to be with and how important it is for men to admit mistakes and be open to learning from life gives me a lot of hope in a lotta ways. Seems like, musicians and artists these days are way deeper and way more open and honest way younger than rock stars used to be. It's really great to see, we need all the good news we can get
17:25 got me crying 😢😭😭😔 RIP MAC. Loved this interview.
cflowermakeup 😥
THANK YOU FOR THE TIMESTAMP
17:25 got me laughing
nugget muncher why?
cflowermakeup yass😭
LMAOOOO "WitH Lenard 'CTHaGod' McKelvey"
I love this.
I was waiting for that Schoolboy Q and Nipsey collab... I could tell politics got in the way, but the clip I seen of them shaking hands in the studio it was obvious the respect was there. Nipsey was knocking doors down
where's the clip?
@@MrClutch19941995 it was on TH-cam but it got taken down. Idk why tho
Its rather bizarre that Q doesnt know how respected he is in the game.
lustwaffe9000 They been fuckin with him, and by they I mean his alter ego and his drug/ social media relevance addiction.
Facts, he super underrated, deserves way more listeners.
he may be respected by us fans, he maybe feels not as much respected by his peers
His peers need to stay woke about his career
Like fr we need to show artist that they’re legit. I hope to god Q doesn’t pass and people pull the card where they’re “secret fans” cause this dudes the shit. One of the realest dudes in the game. Smart and hungry for success. Crazy work ethic. Golf swing from another world too. Hardest golf player on my momma
Q is a good man.
The love he has for his mom is amazing. He understood what she had to go through as a mom at such a young age. And a single mom at that. That's a beautiful story, I bet he's a good dad.
*Q Is just different, different meaning he Is a great SOUL!*
CTG face when Q got up to cry, CTG a good dude, he gets a bad rap sometimes but he's good ppl
@@saviorofs0ng but he's so smart man, and I truly think he cares about the well being of his brothers and sister, and he earned his spot, plus I got anxiety issues so I relate to that
We have the same pic for our profile, I rock w you heavy bro @Fabo Andolini ATLiens for life
Off-topic: Outkasts first three albums are all classics love Atliens
Fabo Andolini he is not smart
Fabo Andolini he’s changed for the better he use to be a fuck boy
Schoolboy Q is literally a real genuine individual in this music industry
Salute Groovy Q!!! RIP Mac Miller!!
Love from London
bro him talking bout mac was powerful damn, rip miss him so much and i never even met him, powerful shit.
It's 2022 and this is still one of the most refreshing interviews I've seen...
I’m barely finding this video
Watched this whole interview last night after I saw it sat in my bed in the dark crying and talking out loud to myself, Q is really one the realist and favorite artist. I hope he stays positive and continues to be a great father to his daughters.
The strongest and the most sincere interview I’ve seen in a while.
In my opinion, blank face is Q’s best album. But also his most underrated/slept on album. Homie been in my top 5 since I first heard him in 2012 when I was in high school. Schoolboy definitely plays a big part in who I am today. Crazy to say he’s an OG now, makes me feel old.
Blank Face still goes fucking hard. Same here I heard him around 2013 with that song with asap rocky. Ever since then I've been fucking with q 🔥
Damn bro if I didn’t know any better, I woulda thought this comment was written by me 🤣 Became a fan around the same time as you and yup Q always been in my top 5 all time favorite, and I absolutely agree Blank Face is his best Album and it blew my mind when he said the sales for that project were some of his lowest. Could not believe it.
I’ll say this with confidence tho: Blue Lips is going to be his best work ever. I truly believe it’ll be his GOAT album. March 1st needs to get here already 🔥
@@tylerparker8207nah for real bro I’m so excited for tomorrow and I feel exactly the same same! This album is definitely well over due and it will be more than worth it.
Q really expressed himself honestly and I’m glad he did the interview with Charlamagne too. I bought Crash Talk as soon as it came out, glad I did. Love from Jersey Q.
This brother is crawling out with love and passion.
My brother ain't glorified but managing his moment and feels. Real talk my brothers. 💯
Real emotion one way without end.... my people.
Q really hit it on the nail about the fake love. It really made me feel some type of way too even though I’ve never met him. Rest in Power Mac. Rest in Power Steez, Nip, Peep. Thug Mansion must be poppin’ with everyone up there...
Rip Mac and steez 4eve7
Mac, Steez, Nip, Peep, 6 Dogs, Juice, Dolph, X.

Much love to y'all and RIP to them man they were here for a short time but they truly impacted me for a life time

Cryin is real bro. So much respect
That scenery and vibe of the interview is incredible man

Grown Men shit
Realest interview I've ever seen
Loved this interview. I’m glad REAL niggas are back again .
My heart dropped to my stomach when Q tear’d up. Q is so authentic, love this man.

Bille yes
Sergio Lobos faxxxx
Bmiller9219 nah They both are fucking fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
i cried when q cried.
there. i said it.
U not the only one that fucked me up
Me too
same
The entire TDE is the hardest thang in hip hop since the 90's.... They all make the deepest art in life!!
Buying the album right now. How could u not after listening to him. I always liked Q, he has emotion, been through some shit, wears his heart on his sleeve, allows himself to be vulnerable and isn’t afraid to be himself. Great interview.
Great interview I was waiting to hear school boy speak on Mac R.i.p to the young goat truly missed
Mac will never be forgotten!
I love Schoolboy Q 3 classic albums in a row, Love from all the way Zimbabwe, Africa
I was waiting for you to list 808's n Heartbreak... Blank face LP is definitely a masterpiece tho.
But bruh illmatic was never overlooked
Yasir Abdilhakim it was on the mainstream hip hop level but everyone in NY was bumping that shit
On me the album brings memories when I first heard it when it came out.
This interview is deep AF into the mind of Schoolboy Q. . He is definetly up there
Blank Face is my favorite album and I replay it often. I was surprised to hear this, as it's timeless.
I think it just went over people's heads.
HOWEVER, time will show that this it's one of the best albums in rap.
I hope Q understands this now.
I was already gonna buy the album but after this Ima buy a ticket for the tour too, put that on my life
you are the realest Q DONT LET FAKE NIGGAS pull you down
hearing the pain in his voice talking about mac brought me to tears. we all miss him q. rip the most dope kid
It's just so crazy to me how Blank Face is (imo) his best album but that was his darkest time of his career. Damn bro..
You can really hear it in the album too.. It definitely has a dark atmosphere to it.
Official Prophet just like redman dare iz a dark side dark time in his career but been said to be his best album in his career too 💯
