    A great improvement would be to search whatever emails you wish to delete from the search bar. And then have the option to delete them all. That would be time saving.

    My browser Gmail does not look like that, and doesn't have a select all box at the top. I have to click each one individually and considering there's over 150k in the inbox, this isn't going to work without hours of clicking check boxes. There's got to be another way! My email won't sync since I'm maxed on storage space and I've been dealing with this a week already trying everything I know to try, but one click mass delete is all that's going to be practical.

    • @cleanemail

      It seems like you have a different view. On your computer, go to Gmail > Click Settings. Scroll to Inbox type. >

    The app needs the same feature for deleting all emails at once (based on a filter) like the browser version does. There's no reason not to offer this. I hardly use the browser version anymore but I still have to use it to do mass deletions like from subscriptions.

      With the desktop version of Gmail, click the question mark icon near the top. Select Training. Google has put a lot of time and thought into step by step directions on how to use GMail effectively . Microsoft and Apple provide similar, and decent self support articles, but for the average user they look poor in comparison to Google's self support for its free full-function desktop email client.

      Hi Annelise, thanks for reaching out! Unsubscribing should stop the emails, but if they're still coming, they might be spam. For Gmail, after deleting unwanted emails, don't forget to empty your "Trash" to delete them permanently. If these emails continue to show up in your inbox, consider using Gmail's 'Report spam' feature for these unwanted emails. This helps Gmail to filter out similar emails in the future. Hope this helps! If you're still having issues, let us know!

      You may either use a built-in Gmail feature (filters, selecting all and deleting emails either in batches by 50 or selecting all emails that matching the criteria of the filter) or with the help of third-party apps like Clean Email, for instance that can make it happen in a couple of clicks.

      It seems like you need to change a Google layout.
      On your computer, go to Gmail > Click Settings > Scroll to Inbox type>
      Select Default, Important first, Unread first, Starred first, Priority Inbox, or Multiple Inboxes.
      I use the Default one.

    • @cleanemail
      @cleanemail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, we hear you! You can delete more than just a page at a time by applying filters. Once your emails match a certain criteria, you'll see an option to "Delete [number] of emails matching this criteria". This allows you to delete in bulk. Hope this helps!

      Hey there! It sounds like you might be using a different version or the mobile version of Gmail. Try switching to the desktop version if you're on a mobile device. Also, Gmail might limit the number of emails you can select at once. However, don't worry, with Clean Email, you can easily select and delete all emails at once. Give it a try!

      It feels sometimes it can take a bit more time for Gmail servers to process actions you initiated (delete thousands of emails, for instance). Have you had a chance to re-check if the emails you deleted were removed from your Inbox?

    • @cleanemail
      @cleanemail  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kathleen, you may want to try using search to find emails you want to delete. It can be a sender, or emails older than, or emails containing a certain word/phrase. Once you filter these emails, just click Select All matching your criteria (on top of the page right under the search bar in Gmail) and click Trash.

    when you have 18000 unread emails 50 at a time does not cut it

    • @cleanemail
      @cleanemail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Understood! When dealing with such a large volume of emails, Gmail filters are your friend. Once you've applied a filter, you'll see a blue text that says "Select [number] of conversations". Click on that to select a large batch of emails (it could be far more than 50) and then hit the Trash can icon. This should make the process more efficient.

    In my Gmail, I have a category called "Everything Else", how do you delete them all at once?

    • @cleanemail
      @cleanemail  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It seems like you use the Unread First Inbox layout in Gmail. In this case, you can either can click the drop-down menu near the Select All checkbox and choose Read (if you want to delete all Read emails), or to declutter your Inbox but still keep the Read emails, click the three dot icon to the right of Everything else and choose "Archive all visible items."

      It sounds like you're dealing with a massive amount of emails - kudos to you for tackling it! Remember that deleting large numbers of emails can sometimes overwhelm the system. Try deleting them in smaller batches and see if that helps.

    About time you could put name in search bar eg Amazon then select delete all messages from this sender.
    But option to lock ones you dont want to delete.
    Fed up of spending 6 hours a day deleting messages.

    • @cleanemail
      @cleanemail  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This option surely works. However, if you'd like to save more of your time, you can automate the whole process by simply setting up the rules (watch my another video about creating rules). This way all future messages will be processed as soon as they come into your Inbox, and no need to do it manually.

  • @kifayatullah2120

      Hello Goran, thank you for your comment. In this video, we try to show different ways how you can delete all or multiple emails with Gmail's built-in feature and by using a third-party solution. Everyone has their pros and cons but solves the issue. If you have your own tips on how to get rid of a batch of emails really quick, we'll be grateful if you could share this information and we could cover that in our future videos.
