- In this short video Elon Musk Talking on the Bandwidth and the area of covering of the starlink internet. Full details are in the video.
Elon Reeve Musk (/ˈiːlɒn/ EE-lon; born June 28, 1971) is a business magnate and investor. He is the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX; angel investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; owner and CEO of Twitter, Inc.; founder of the Boring Company; co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI; and president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation. Musk is the second-wealthiest person in the world, according to both the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes's Real Time Billionaires list as of May 2023 primarily from his ownership stakes in Tesla and SpaceX, with an estimated net worth of around $167 billion according to the Bloomberg and $176.2 billion according to Forbes.
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by American aerospace company SpaceX,[3] providing satellite Internet access coverage to over 54 countries. It also aims for global mobile phone service after 2023.[4] SpaceX started launching Starlink satellites in 2019. As of May 2023, Starlink consists of over 4,000 mass-produced small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO),[5] which communicate with designated ground transceivers. In total, nearly 12,000 satellites are planned to be deployed, with a possible later extension to 42,000. SpaceX announced reaching more than 1 million subscribers in December 2022[6] and 1.5 million subscribers in May 2023...

The world gets a guy like Elon Musk every 200 years or something …we are lucky
No we aren't. The dude wants to infest the skies with 100s of extra space debris yet also wants to launch rockets to Mars. He's being counter intuitive to his own goal here. Besides, it's more often then once every 200 years. It's closer to once every 90.
@@strategymamber you are what we call a ludite
@@jamesbyrnes716 first of all, anyone who even knows the basics of English history knows it's with 2D's not one. As in luddite. And second, the fact you go for political viewpoints and not attack my point to begin with. The fact that he is countering his own plans by making more space degree. Shows that either A, you are scientifically inept or B, unable to find a counter argument and decide to attack character. Meaning you go for the an ad homonem. 90% of my town in rural Alaska ditched the high cost state ISP for Starlink, it’s more than half the cost and at least 100x faster than what we were paying the ISP
They just started rolling out star link to remote areas of the UK a few years ago, I've heard its pretty good
I’m in rural Canada and just got it and it’s night and day better
@@MitchellC564 I'm not sure what ISPs are in Canada or if they are any good but star link in the UK is both better at delivering to remote parts of the country, but its also faster than most ISPs in the UK apart from the super expensive ones. Is it the same for Canadians?
@@MitchellC564 how's the price. Heard it's good but too expensive
@@yeetjones927 actually just got mine yesterday here in the UK and it's genuinely amazing. I highly recommend it, it's on sale for £99 atm too
And pretty expensive
Just got Star Link in West Virginia. We finally have fast wifi in 2023🎉
It's slow
@@SpunkMayo the fastest wifi in my area was 10 mbps I get 150-300 mbps on starlink not everyone can get fiber lil bro
@@maxschaefbauer5601 I literally install broadband for a living and half of our customers switch from Starlink and get twice the speed.
Starlink is not WiFi. Two completely different things.
@@Meton2526 they never said StarLink is wifi, they said they have fast wifi, inferred due to StarLink.
Starlink is a life saver for country houses
God BLESS Elon Musk for doing this for people in rural areas!! It is really going to help so many people so much. Massive enlightenment wave incoming
pffffff im Rural and My Wifi is 💩 lol
Starlink isn’t new tech, nor is it the fastest of its kind, it is just the one that has the biggest backer and now is getting lots of Defense/Military funding.
Enlightenment You mean tiktok and onlyfans 😂😂😂😂
Rural here, got fibreoptic connection.
How?@@schoolmarmjackson7656

I wish the leaders of America was care for the development of America like Elon 👍🏿
He also mentioned being on Mars and making cellphone calls. 😂❤🎉
Cellphone calls with at least 6 minute delays between each response because at light speed it takes about 3 minutes to get from earth to mars and literally nothing can go faster than light

It's awesome. Everyone in the world should have access to the internet if they want it. I'm happy that they will have the door open to more oppurtunities. Thanks Elon
A few years ago, i wanted to move to a rural location, extremely beautiful, very good connection to major cities nearby. But it was surrounded by hills. Very low population density, so internet and cellphone service was extremely bad.
If Starlink was available back then, i would have moved there. The cost of starlink could be easily be compensated by the property cost of that location.
A game changer for Eswatini. Wifi charges already tumbling since licensing of Starlink
Starlink, then merges with an AI company, thus SKY NET,
So true, then the T1000 should be available next year😂
Had mine in my truck for 8 months now . Can't recommend them highly enough. Could be hiding undet a rock in the desert on still watch anything 👍
Semi truck?
Yes installed on a road train
At least he is being honest about being better off with 5G in some places unlike other companies who just try to promote their product in any way possible
Haven't had any problems with mine at all. I use it for work and also game on it.
What state do you live in
i recently got starlink and i game but when i load into a game of any sort i just get kicked out and i don’t know how to fix it
Did you ever get this issue fixed? The bandwidth gap might be kicking you off if the games very sebsitive.. @jesseowen449
I just got it. My family has been stuck with internet infrastructure from the early 2000s. We would be lucky to get 4 Megabytes of download speed. We now get 300 on average
Where are you located? What is you average ping? Do you experience any packet loss?
Here in Nigeria, starlink is making the waves. It is now becoming the most sorted out for
They are great for people in secluded areas where they just don't have fiber optic cables and infrastructure. I saw a video that the dish you get for receiving the signal is even heated so ice and snow don't build up on them
I just checked out reviews on TH-cam. Flying colors.! I need Starlink for a countryside property I am to purchase. YES!

I love that he just tells the truth that 5g is better but if you can’t get it. But he has a product of you can’t. Props to him
I just recently got my Starlink kit on the Rural Canada deal. Excellent internet. Better than what i had in town
As someone from a upstate NY town with 300 people and a high elevation. This shit bussin at 200.
Whole world 🌏🌍🌎 would be awesome 💖✌🏻
I’m in Mexico from time to time. When I go I’m usually in the mountains of Durango and Zacatecas. I get the equivalent speed if your phone is at 2 bars. Can’t complain man.
For someone who claims we should have free energy etc, he charges a lot
Bro,having thousents of satelits in the space aien't cheap
Lol you obviously don’t understand the costs in running a sustainable business. He is providing fast internet to places on earth that never had any so have to charge to keep things running and also expand.
My Starlink just got reduced and is less than the basic fibre I had when I lived in town
I work in mineral exploration. So am constantly in the wilderness. I can tell you that I posted this thanks to starlink
So you will feel more at home with Starlink, it will make you lucky every day for college, and you can use it in the city or you can also take it to remote corners of Indonesia, and if it's for entertainment, watching films and playing online games will make it even more super fast, thanks for the info sis , Thank you to Brother Elon Musk, success always to Brother Elon Musk who has created a simple and hassle-free internet in 2024. Chayooo
Why not just combine 5G with star link keep the cost fair. Let the people buy their own equipment.
Small towns/ villages 👌, a big city 😴
Love my starlink and I live in the city
And my internet barely goes to 1mbps.
That’s extremely sad in this day and age.
So cool
He must think that he's some kind of WWW bandit 😂
Cool I'll be able to go on a road trip to the poles. 😂
I have starlink and I live so far out I can't get internet so just that alone starlink is blessing and it's the best internet by far. I've never seen anything like it.
Just purchased Star Link. Will return with the outcome soon. Fingers 🤞.
Starling it’s just a test for Mars internet
🕊❤️🥰🎉
I have star link it's the best thanks mr musk
Oh yeah, we are almost at the Terminator era
I want internet, TV, movies, Never want to Game, at all.
As someone who frequently lives in the middle of nowhere, starlink and tmobile 5g home internet are the shizzz!
HAIL ELON 🇺🇸
Man I've just finished Kingsman secret service movie and I'am starting to think that he hides something from us to know 😂😂😂
Wont be long til u discover the danger....
Apologies for miss interpretation of signals.
10G keep up
Meanwhile IRL: Starlink throttled down existing customers below 50 Mbps.
2 months now averaging 190Mbps, how soon should i expect it to drop to 50? Maybe it’s area specific?
@@arafatwalugembe5864 Probably. If the Starlink adoption rate is high in your box of coordinates, it can be lower than 25 MBps. Starlink is also more expensive on such areas.
I was really happy with the 2.5G/3G/4G connection when I was the only one connected to the local GSM tower (Nokia prototypes). Only with 5G it was somewhat tolerable to have all the neighbors hooked to the same tower. Now we all have fibre optic.
Lies
My husband streams his tv shows, but we’re in the woods and I’m over Verizon hot spot running out every single month at the end of the month.
So basically Elon wants the world to have what Romania has but with satellites 😂
Just for reference i live in rural australia and starlink is the best by far 200mbs download 50ms ping, shits hot
Our internet is not 5 Gigabit, that's why screen frozes when we playing games.
5G does not mean 5 gigabit lol
I hope its mapping everything at %100
😊Giga ❤
noce
In Canada getting 8.9 MBPS with starlink 0 obstructions right next to the router. It very very subpar for the 160 you pay a month
I am watching this right now from Starlink (10 mbps down 5 mbps up) I laughed when he said we would eventually reach gigabit speeds
I have starlink, it's good.
Hows it doing in online games like ping ?
😊😊
Then for God sakes, do something about your UPLOAD speeds Elon!! Hard to send PICs when you only have 2mbs Upload speeds
I use the same sentence structure when I speak of hydrogen fuel vs battery power. Hydrogen fuel would not be immediately efficient fir high density areas, apply batteries. Rural areas could use massive quantities of hydrogen fuel to produce power for large cities.
😮
i'm sure it will be all that and more, like the tunnels in LA that were going to eliminate traffic, that never really happened.
Billionaire with their toys, have fun boys...
Yet I’m sure that download speed ain’t getting any faster
I would be curious about starlinks latency. Isn’t satellite internet more expensive and with really bad latency?
Will be the richest man on earth and one of the most powerful
Will my ping be reduced using Starlink playing in other continent servers?
This is an old video, the newest version the the Starlink satellites can handel pretty dense populations, and will provide back-bone services for land-based internet customers.
What do you mean by "back bone services for land based customers"? I'm curious bc I'm contemplating ordering starlink
@@davidmadden4753 Back bone services is not for end customers, it provides new or faster internet connections for internet service provider companies, who in turn distribute that connection to many wired or wireless customers in a local area. The ISP gets a big dish from SpaceX that provides a backbone connection to the internet, so ISP's can start building networks in locations where no good connection to the global internet is available. ISP's can keep operating like that or delay the digging of their own backbone connection, so they can shift some of the investments till after they have already a lot of paying customers. Have a look for Starlink users similar to your situation and see their pros and cons. I have been using the older circular receivers since august 2021 in the Netherlands as my only household internet connection and it works well for me, including when working from home.
Elon is just experimenting and preparing to make civilization a lot easier on mars if he ever gets there.
Now if only my it was allowed where i live
We are lucky ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤️💞💞💞💋
I have and I'm getting 20 megabytes per second I live in the country
My country Bangladesh is on trouble there is no internet right now how to get it wee need help

I would like to have Starlik but in my country Africa it is very expensive and I can't afford it.😭😭😭
Mine can’t even run 2 devices at the lowest graphics
I have starlink it is so slow legit the most ass internet I’ve ever had
Does 5g or the vein of technology which it resides within pose a health risk to humans in any capacity? Curious.
How to get it
How to buy?
If to much demand in a certain area, it would be so slow 😂
That’s what he just said. It’s Satellite… it’s better for anyone not inner city and amazing for those in the country or smaller towns/cities
I checked the prices.... 599$ for the box and shit. Also have to mount something outside on the roof. And also pay 110$ a month
Dawg look into the one dude Nikolie tesla (pardon the misspelling of his name)
