Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I was trying to teach my son Geometry Proofing problems, had a hard time. Thanks to your video which is such a relief to both of us!

Why can’t my geometry teacher make it this easy to understand

Because your geometry teacher doesn't have a youtube channel

imma be honest i hate math and proofs have been the single worse thing for me just because my teacher made it sound so confusing but i have my final in the morning and she said that i only have one proof on the final i looked up your video and honestly it made so much more sense. thank you

Bro why can't my geometry teacher be like you and actually tell us how to solve things instead of handing us pieces of paper we don't know what to do with?

Coming from a teacher. I hope you have reported this to admin. Your teacher is paid to teach you. Take surveys if your school offers them.

I sorta know how to do proofs, but I needed this video to help me a little more. Thanks!

Geometry has always been one of my favorite math topics, however I always hated the proofs part of it in school because I had to memorize a lot of terminology and write it out in order to get a decent grade.
Like many I inherently know what makes up the proofs being able to simply look at the geometry and instinctively give an answer that's always right, and then the pain sets in as I try to remember all the correct terminology to explain it properly.

      Hi Fred,
Keep practicing, and you will find that proofs will become easier. Also, John's videos are an excellent source of help. Best wishes for your math endeavors.

Proof Writing is essential to math. If I can it, anyone can. It's merely about lot of practice. Remember: Math is a language.

@@argonwheatbelly637 I would agree that proof writing is essential to passing a geometry class. Valid geometry is also intuitive. For example ever since I was a child I knew that a line intersecting two other lines with the angles being the same but reversed means the to lines being intersected are parallel to each other.
Einstein was a man who understood most of what he knew by intuition having grown up in an electric shop only later learned the maths to demonstrate his intuition.
The math itself is the language, no one needs to write a proof that one plus one equals two in order for it to be understood.

I was terrible in high school in this subject. In fact, I got by twice with D’s . However, this concept suck and I was able to apply it to other aspect of life, especially payroll! If someone ever need to prove wages to an employer, this would be a helpful application.

Parallelism can't be proved unless it is in 2D. For a 3D situation, the lines need not be parallel.

postulate are great, property are awesome, but definition is just scam... it don't need to have that many variations : lines, points, angle, that's it. Higher order ones just break them to Polygon and conic definitions!
