    Special angles. Just memorize the ff: sin 30=0.5, sin 45=0.707, sin 60=0.866. In cos 30 45 and 60 just derived it in SOHCAHTOA. With respect to the sides use pythagorean theorem.

      @chrishelton1787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It clicked for me way back when I realized this about sin 0-30-45-60-90: sqrt(0)/2; sqrt(1)/2; sqrt(2)/2; sqrt(3)/2; sqrt(4)/2. Seems crazy to write like that maybe, but the pattern becomes clear.

    Also the other thing I NEVER knew when I was in school is that cos(θ) = sin(β), where θ is 1° thru 89º and β is 90 - θ. So, 10 * cos(60) = 10 * sin(30). So if you want to know the third side, you have to do 10 * sin(60) or 10 * cos(30).
    Another thing that can be used is radians versus degrees and knowing how to convert between them. To get radians, divide by 180 and multiply by π. To get degrees, divide by π and multiply by 180.
    rad = radians
    180° = π rad
    90° = π/2 rad
    60° = π/3 rad
    45° = π/4 rad
    30° = π/6 rad
    15° = π/12 rad

    • @Fleebus
      @Fleebus ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What does any of this mean 😭 it’s over for me 💀

    • @Kame3248
      @Kame3248 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Fleebus θ and β are like variables that represent the angle in either degrees or radians, and so if θ is equal to 1 to 89 degrees, β would be equal to 90 - θ. SOH means Sin(θ) is equal to the Opposite side of the angle divided by the Hypotenuse. CAH means Cos(θ) is equal to the Adjacent side of the angle divided by the Hypotenuse. TOA means Tan(θ) is equal to the Opposite side of the angle divided by the Adjacent side.
      The Sin(θ) of one angle will be equal to the Cos(β) of the other angle. Therefore, 10 * Sin(60) is equal to 10 * Cos(30).

    Triginometry? Horse manure! Trig certainly has its place, but when utilised in plane geometry it smacks of smugness of "the new math", i.e. needlessly complicating a simple problem.
    The sum of triangular angles must always equal 180°. In the case of any right triangle:
    X = (180 -- 90) -- Y
    X = 90 -- Y
    X = 90 -- 45
    X = 45

    • @lav3nderbuds
      @lav3nderbuds 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, you could have figured this out already, noting the 3 weeks, however I’d like to help anyway. The way he got 9 and 16 was because he put the two sides, 3 and 4, to the power of 2. Allow me to put it this way so you can see it.
      3^2 -> 3x3 = 9
      4^2 -> 4x4 = 16
      He just input the numbers into the equation, a^2+b^2=c^2
      and simplified
