1:35 THAT RIGHT THERE. thats why i love odin makes and DIY prop shop. you and the other makers have shown me items (easily obtainable items) i never would've thought could be used in this art form. cementing tubes, toilet paper holders, etc.
this is still one of my favorite episodes. it's so unique compared to you others. air brush painting, wire cutting styrofoam. even the movie it's based on isn't the typical sci fi or fantasy franchise you normally build from.
I love re-watching your older videos. not only would I love to see more display pieces like this and the tri dimensional set set, I'd also like to see more Styrofoam used.
That custom hot wire cutter is BRILLIANT with the spring tension. Never would have thought of that. Home depot has extruded polystyrene sheet up to like 3", I think. This would work if stacked and glued with Contact Cement. I can't find extruded polystyrene sheet at Lowes larger than a half-inch.
This is a project that I have always meant to make for my shop. Rock 'N' Roll. Tap into America I think that you did very well and really captured the feel of the original film prop.
A buddy of mine made a complete mini Stonehenge out of concrete in his backyard, with a fire pit in the center. It is just the right size to sit down on.
I recently started airbrushing. I've been mixing the cheap walmart acrylic paint with 91% alcohol, it dries super fast and makes working really quick. I think some people also use great stuff expanding foam to glue stuff like this together.
I would suggest keeping the huge "hot blade" cutter stationary and moving the foam as you cut it; that might be an easier and safer way to do it. Regardless, a great prop and a great channel.
That is the LARGEST hot-wire cutter I've ever seen. One thing nichrome cutting taught me is to keep moving. Polystyrene can burn after you cut it, so don't let the wire sit still in one place.
there is a styro slicer model made by the king of random, it can even cut in angles, it could help you out to look at that video, the instructions are really simple to follow
I actually work for the company that makes those targets. Just makes me laugh because I never thought I would see product I've produced used in prop video. Odin, just be glad you got a block that didn't have cardboard chunks in it
I used to have a target like that!! But then I got a dog..... And now i dont have a target anymore... If you know what I mean.. Love the vid' s oden!! ✌😋👍 and I love the little blooper things ya do at the ends of the vids lolz!!
If you ever need really BIG blocks of styrofoam, there are companies that can make those for you, like Insulfoam out here in California. We typically get blocks of about 40" by 48" by 96" to work with. Blocks that size are even used under roadbeds in freeway construction to save on gravel and such.
I just had a "MPFree of the Day" flashback! Awesome build, Odin! Good thing they got the size wrong in the movie, or this would be a even more difficult build! ;)
"Yeah I would give all I had to give." "Would you give them your car?" "Are you kidding me of course I would have given the car!" "What car do you drive?" "Drive a Civic, drive a Civic, drive a Civic." "A car you can trust!' "Nevermind the car, let's talk about the henge." "What henge is that again?"
1:35 THAT RIGHT THERE. thats why i love odin makes and DIY prop shop. you and the other makers have shown me items (easily obtainable items) i never would've thought could be used in this art form. cementing tubes, toilet paper holders, etc.
i now i know of a new tool. another reason why i love your videos.
Thank you! Seriously, that is really cool for you to say.
Can you make the Mask's face from the movie "The Mask" with Jim Carrey?
"You can tell it's a target because you can shoot bears in the butt." ~Odin 2019... 😂
Neature Walk lol...
That makes me think of "The Great Outdoors"
You really turned it up to 11 on this one Odin! 😄
'this one goes to eleven'
Don't do that. You would melt the wire.
this is still one of my favorite episodes. it's so unique compared to you others. air brush painting, wire cutting styrofoam. even the movie it's based on isn't the typical sci fi or fantasy franchise you normally build from.
Doesn't matter what you make Odin, you still made it awesome!
Thank you!
Facts
I love re-watching your older videos. not only would I love to see more display pieces like this and the tri dimensional set set, I'd also like to see more Styrofoam used.
Thank you! I will think about that!
No one knows who they were, or what they were doing
But their legacy remains
Hewn into the living rock
leprechauns start dancing
And oh how they danced, those little children of Stonehenge.....
This is by far my favourite Odin Makes yet! Also the idea of a hacksaw hotwire is hilariously dangerous, I love it
That custom hot wire cutter is BRILLIANT with the spring tension. Never would have thought of that.
Home depot has extruded polystyrene sheet up to like 3", I think. This would work if stacked and glued with Contact Cement. I can't find extruded polystyrene sheet at Lowes larger than a half-inch.
You would want the water based cement of course... the red stuff will melt the foam! 3" thick is nice.
@@OdinMakes
Thanks for the tip! Yeah, not too often you can get excited about 3"...
GalaxyStranger01 HAHAHAHAHAH i get it...

Odin: prop making's absolute mad lad.
I'd love to see you make Shazams lightning bolt chest plate.
Incredible. my favourite part of the film is when the Stonehenge gets lowered onto the stage. Job well done Odin!
This is a project that I have always meant to make for my shop. Rock 'N' Roll. Tap into America
I think that you did very well and really captured the feel of the original film prop.
Keep up the good work Father of Thor
Lol I love this comment😂
Love it! I've been meaning to do this for years... The full Stonehenge for a winter solstice front yard display.
Can you make Dark Helmet's helmet from "Space Balls"? That would be cool wearing at a Con
The Stonehenge are actually old versions of dominos
A buddy of mine made a complete mini Stonehenge out of concrete in his backyard, with a fire pit in the center. It is just the right size to sit down on.
Nice, this was a really cool, simple build. ROCK ON, ODIN!
I love spinal tap and I find it really hilarious that you totally made the stonehenge. Lol.
“It doesn’t seem that safe....It works.....but it doesn’t seem that safe” 10/10
I live very close to Stone Henge! Amazing prop Odin 😁
06:06 Odin's way of saying he's disappointed
Wait what? No! Where are the chills from "This is how Odin makes!"
No! Bring it back! Deep dark charismatic voice...
Dude yes! Been wanting to make one of these to put in an alcove and pretend it's fine art.
I recently started airbrushing. I've been mixing the cheap walmart acrylic paint with 91% alcohol, it dries super fast and makes working really quick. I think some people also use great stuff expanding foam to glue stuff like this together.
". . .honestly, that doesn't seem that safe; it *works* , but it doesn't seem that safe" - almost every DM at least once
Silva Triana Why is that so true though
Great job. Bringing back memories.
2 videos in one week that’s wild
Thank you for recognizing Pi Day with a majestic stone pi.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew what I was getting into.

This is definitely an 11 on the awesomeness scale! \m/
This may be the most amazing prop, and its an obvious ider.
Amazing, what a classic
One of your best videos! Keep up the good work!
How much more awesome could this be? The answer is none. None more awesome.
I love the "about 30 feet" part
That's the best yet man love it
I would suggest keeping the huge "hot blade" cutter stationary and moving the foam as you cut it; that might be an easier and safer way to do it. Regardless, a great prop and a great channel.
After watching this I think you should make a prop from the flintstones. I don't know what, but just make something using this technique.
Would you think of making a phase 2 clone trooper helmet
NEW ODIN? YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
YES! THIS SONG IS AWESOME!
i think i'll use the archery target foam to make a cartoony anvil. it'll go great with my oversized wood mallet and bowling ball bomb
Love it!
Sweet perfect for a Pi cosplay!
That is the LARGEST hot-wire cutter I've ever seen.
One thing nichrome cutting taught me is to keep moving. Polystyrene can burn after you cut it, so don't let the wire sit still in one place.
The Majesty Of Rock
Lmao this was classic Odin - thanks for the laughs!!
Great job Odin, I live in the.UK about a 45 minute drive south of the real Stonehenge
I'd like to see you make something from the original two ghostbuster films in honor of the new one coming out
I love this so flipping much.
could you make hiccup's helmet from how to train your dragon 3 , or anything from that movie ?
It's such a great movie
“You can tell it’s a target cause you can shoot bears in the butt.” Best thing I’ve heard all day!
there is a styro slicer model made by the king of random, it can even cut in angles, it could help you out to look at that video, the instructions are really simple to follow
Looks awesome! I love it
You deserve much more subscribers!Great job!
😂😂😂 . I seen spinal tap over a 150 and that scene makes me laugh the most . I love spinal tap \m/

Thats so cool! You should make the Bifrost sword!
And oh how they danced...the little people of Stonehenge.
WoW I LOVE IT!
YES! You worked off plans written on a napkin, stating 18 inches instead of 18 feet!
If you ever need really BIG blocks of styrofoam, there are companies that can make those for you, like Insulfoam out here in California. We typically get blocks of about 40" by 48" by 96" to work with. Blocks that size are even used under roadbeds in freeway construction to save on gravel and such.
I hope you get well from eye-jaundice soon! Thoughts and prayers!
Odin, you rock!...get it?
I think you and Hendo should do a collab, would be hella nostalgic.
Totally!
to glue the top you could have used spray form for filling gaps works great. but great video
I think that the problem may have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf!
I just had a "MPFree of the Day" flashback! Awesome build, Odin! Good thing they got the size wrong in the movie, or this would be a even more difficult build! ;)
Looks easy to make
This is so creative
Thank you!
By the way you are awesome
I suggest creating a bedside table lamp that looks like a question mark block from super mario bros. a friend of mine has one, and it is awesome
Interesting how you made something that looks like Pi for Pi-day!..
And the way you act so casual about it. Like it’s just a coincidence!.. 😉
Interesting 🤔 I might need to check out this movie!
hey Odin i'm planning on making Keith's black bayard sword from Voltron: Legendary Defender but want the handle to glow yet in a darker tone any tips?
Awesome
Thank you!
@@OdinMakes I am a huge fan of yours sir.
Hey Odin! You should make Nick Fury's pager that he calls Captain Marvel with!
