7 years in the future and this video keeps helping cuttlebug owners:)! Wife found your video when her cuttlebug stopped working. Nothing had fallen out yet, but shaking the unit made quite a rattle. Eventually got gear, screw and washer to fall out the bottom. Everything is reinstalled per your clear video, thank you!
This video was great! You saved me from a crafting crisis. I’ve had my cuddle bug 12 years and it has done amazing. I was so glad I could find a video that would help me fix the rattling sound.
Thank you, this was really helpful. My Cuttlebug had been rattling (discovered it was the screw and washer later) but it still worked for a short time, the gear hadn't fallen off yet, but when it did, I was gutted, I thought "it was a gonner, ". I had no idea how to access the workings of my bug but you video came to the rescue. Happy I found this. Thank you! 😃👏👏👏
I know this is an older video, but thank you soooo much. I got my cuttlebug from a cousin and it quickly stopped turning the rollers. This was such an easy fix I did it myself.
Thank you! I've watch other videos and none have been as helpful as yours. I so much appreciate it, you've saved me so much money! Thank so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for posting this video. The first time I viewed it, I didn't realize how it could help me resolve my problem as my handle just wouldn't turn. Viewing other comments I saw that all I needed was to remove the cover as you demonstrated to apply some WD-40 oil and it fixed the problem! My handle turns fine now!
THANK YOU!! I remover EVERY screw on this thing trying to remove the outer housing but when I saw you just push it aside and EASILY put the gear and screw back in, it was a snap to do. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! (now to put all those darn screws back in).
Thank you for this tutorial. I bought a bunch of cutting dies from a lady who threw in a cuttlebug machine, a baggie with some screws and a small gear and accessories in for free because it is (was) broken. I found your video and was able to fix the machine. The machine looks like new and now it works perfectly. 😀
Thanks, buddy! You just saved me $70!!! I thought I was going to have to buy a new one... my friend found your video and when I got home, my husband and I fixed it in less than 10 minutes :)
Thank you for doing this video. Mine just got to the point where I can't even turn the handle. I even called the company and they had no suggestions for me except that I needed to buy another Cuttlebug. This was a great video.
THANK YOU! My friend thought her beloved Cuttlebug was gonesville. I worked along with your video (minus the cheese balls and blue tube of wonder) and had her machine fixed in a jiffy. Seriously thankful!
Thank you. This video was GREAT! I had to fix my cuttlebug for the same reason. I did get some of the Loctite on my fingers. I thought oh my I will have to go around with this on my fingers for rest of my life. Thank goodness my neighbor had 100% acetone. It did take it off. Just be careful you don't get it on your skin. Trust me you don't want that to happen.
Thank you. This is a wonderful video and I was able to do this without my husband’s assistance which is a first. Again, thank you. Saved my Cuddle bug.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! It's exactly the model that I have and having THAT same problem. This video has helped me save my Cuddlebug and my life. I love crafting so this helps me to continue crating. It's stuck now BUT we are about to get lose and work again. Thanks AGAIN. You doing this video is very much appreciated.
Our CuttleBug gradually became stiffer to turn to the point it was impossible to turn the handle. Having seen this video, I took ours apart and found that with the top cog removed, the rollers were free to move. Turned out all it needed was lubricating. A small drop of machine oil and it is free to turn again.
So very helpful, following your instruction I have just managed to repair mine. Many thanks for taking the time to put this out there. (Don't have thread lock so have left side off just in case it works loose again, don't recall seeing it here in UK?)
my issue is the side flew off when i was putting my plates through, i checked, all the gears are there, but theres no resistance when i put the plates through now, so wont cut the dies
Thanks you, for this video, but I would like to know how to get the gear, my prolema is that the lever is locked, I could not move it if something blocks it but I do not know what it is.
I have a paper jam in mine and can't turn the handle. I've tried wetting the paper and I can pull bits of the paper out but the plates are stuck good and handle won't rotate
Hi my V2 cuttlebug has decided to throw a wobbly too, only it's the largest gear that seems to have come away from the top roller. I have had about dozen small 7mm come out and also one 3 cm washer. Any ideas anyone? They cost so much to renew.
Hi. My gears are all in tact taken cuttlebug side off and checked! However the rollers wont grab the plates. To cut. Any other great idea ples. 2 of them cracked when i had too thicker plates and popped tge side same thing to boths
