ME!! I'm on XBox Series X and cannot get the duplication process to work on anything more than a single item. Like I was trying to do copper, and it would let me do 1 bar, but not duplicate more than one bar at a time. I tried to do 400 steel, and it was not working. Any tips on how to do it properly?

Update: The ammo will continue to produce as long as you are in the area of it being loaded. If you fast travel out, it will STOP PRODUCING.I was confused earlier. Shout out to Matthias Meyer for keeping me honest, thank you.

I thought it was the mod i had added for bunk beds that added that didn't think it was vanilla. To be honest it's only recent i have started to do settlement building also.
If your hard up on materials or space. 8nstead of using a convayer storage you can use a bathtub to catch all the ammo. You'll just have to pick it up.

You can add a switch between the machine and the terminal as well, which allows you to turn it off when you leave the settlement. When you come back you can turn it back on and it will resume the production you had assigned to it already.

Other guy said we need containers where to store the manufactured things, vacuum pump that sucks out of the last container thats connected to conveyer belt that you showed, angles to which conveyer belt works and where it gets stuck and he showed some complicated wiring system with fusion generator i got lost somewhere along the way;)

You're still going to be trading to get the components unless you're grinding a shit ton to scavenge. Seems like this would only be good for hard to find ammo in large quantities like mini nukes. I have a couple purified water farms and largely just buy ammo from my own stores and never worry about running out.
There is a mod that lets you manually craft ammunition but you don't need dlc, it's called "Balanced Craftable Ammunition" which uses the materials from the dlc to make ammo but you can make it in chemistry stations
You kind-of left-out the part where you need the Contraptions Workshop DLC. Couldn’t figure-out why there wasn’t a “manufacturing” option under “power”.

This is the only reason instead i only buy ammo from vendors and have scrounger luck2 perk that lets me find ammo. Also because of this i appritiate the ammo vendor S from Diamond City and the Boston Police Rationing site, NE from Fairlight Hill Estates, who sells high cailber ammo.

I haven't really messed with the Contraptions Workshop DLC except for capturing pets. I'm always running low on ammo especially for weapons like Handmade Rifles which is 7.62. But I do have a question. Does the ammo creation work with ammo like nukes and missiles?
Edit: I was able to build mine tonight & im a Newbie here in 2024 just started putting in work in FO4 it’s definitely one of the games that actually makes me want to break my controller and my TV at the same time😂 but on top of that I actually love playing this game. There’s so much stuff to do. And This is probably the one game I could actually do a 24 hour stream playing.

Hi, I just started playing. Trying to get the ammo manufacturing going. Some help answers say that I need the DLC for this? I already have 1 perk in gun nut, 1 perk in science, and 2 perks in local leader to allow me to build workstations and workshops. But still there's no manufacturing selection. Seems like I am missing something. Thanks!!
You could just use dog meat to to the ammo duplication glitch, but this is decent if you don’t want to wait around duping ammo and want to just get on with the game ;) good demonstration mate
No, not without your production of whatever you’re manufacturing being halted. The second you fast travel away from the settlement where you have your factory set up or run far enough away from it on foot, the machine(s) will halt production. The same goes for entering the pause menu, using a terminal, entering your pip boy menu, or anything else that would interrupt combat with an enemy. If it can interrupt an enemy from attacking you, it’ll interrupt any machinery you build, with the exception of water purifiers, since they produce a set amount per day, and deposit the excess directly into the workshop. Production will resume, automatically, upon your return to the settlement. As for entering a different room in the settlement like the root cellar in sanctuary or the tunnels under the castle, I haven’t tested that yet.
Hey guys a tip as well I don’t know if it was just a glitch but for some reason if you have multiple plants they don’t like to be on the same power grid so use separate generators and wires for separate ammunition
I know it's been 4 months, but just in case you haven't already got an answer... You don't need the specific ingredients just junk that contains said ingredients. The ammo plant extracts what it needs and stores what it doesn't.

Do you need “local leader” perk as well for the ammo factory ? I have both level 1 gun nuts and science, 8 points intelligence, character level 16, but I don’t have that building option.😢
@@michaelproctor8100 Nah, always gave my surplus armor to my settlers! Used to go over to GNN and harvest armor to bring back to my settlements. Same with any legendary weapons I didn't need/want.
I wouldn't do this to sell anything, if you want to sell something for mass profit then build big water purifiers in settlements with water nearby and then the pure water will be sent to the workshop itself and then sell it to vendors
Or make multiple builders and use them to mass produce vault tec lunch boxes. Those have no carry weight, which makes them ideal to carry around with you.
All this is is a crafting bench with additional steps, not automated at all when you need to manually place the supplies. Normal crafting benches actually have access to all of your connected workshops but this doesnt at all lol. they somehow made manufacturing less automated than crafting at a workbench lmao

No need to turn it off. It stops when you leave and starts up again when you return.

I mean, you can do that. The game has machines that build all kinds of crazy shit

Your settlers only need 1 round of the needed ammo. They shoot unlimited.

I wouldn't do this to sell anything, if you want to sell something for mass profit then build big water purifiers in settlements with water nearby and then the pure water will be sent to the workshop itself and then sell it to vendors
Or make multiple builders and use them to mass produce vault tec lunch boxes. Those have no carry weight, which makes them ideal to carry around with you.
All this is is a crafting bench with additional steps, not automated at all when you need to manually place the supplies. Normal crafting benches actually have access to all of your connected workshops but this doesnt at all lol. they somehow made manufacturing less automated than crafting at a workbench lmao
