with drift tires its a none issue bashing around but with street tires it does tend to wander a bit from center. I drift these so It isn't an issue for me fortunately.

Thanks for stopping by! Seems to be built well and can be more tunable with adjustable links maybe. They do include a set of drift tie rod links that are shorter to get more steering. It is a new product so hopefully parts show up for this as I am getting another one and would like to see parts support as well.

This is 4wd so in retrospect this is actually power sliding. The WPL D12 is RWD so when tuned right you are actually drifting like a 1:1. Let's see what wpl comes out with for sure.
You would need to find a way to increase the steering angle and figure weight distribution if you do want to run it RWD. Just taking the front axles out will result in massive oversteer with not enough steering angle to correct or control it.
I don't believe so but if you know how to take RCs apart you can waterproof the electronics and then you can run it in the rain. Just remember to spray some penetrating oil on the bearings after wayer runs and it should help them last.
how fast does yours go? these aren't that fast but they do have brushless upgrades and a brushless version if you want more speed. Not sure if your version has a speed rate switch.

I don't see this breaking under regular use and drifting really. It's built well and should be fine unless you like running into curbs or poles. In my opinion it should be pretty reliable. If your handy with the rc hobby you can source parts to upgrade it with other brand parts and make it work. But I am with you and hope to see some parts available for this one because its so good the way it is and would like to keep it going if it does get damaged. Maybe get 2 so you can have 2 and if one breaks you still have one with a whole car as spare!

if you can changed the full batt voltage to 4.15v and use a 1c charge amp setting. Most hobby grade chargers have lion settings so I do recommend using proper charging setting and chargers for your specific batt types.

probably not 3s capable and a 550 probably wont mount in the stock location. it has a 390 stock I believe.

good fun for sure! I may try brushless if or when this brushed system wears out. Really good out the box. It's worth the wait you will enjoy it.

Yup brushed, 5 wire servo and 2in1 esc receiver. But still all in all a great little rc car.
Those poor drift wheels look eaten up... but I mean they're drift tires... that's sort of the nature of the beast.
I did do a number on them on gravel and ugly pavement. Also I jumped it with those on hahaha.
