Arran definitely delivers some top door views & scrambling Sue (especially on days like this ) I did watch Ian’s round and it was great to see your take on it (good to see some fun critters along the way too 🙏🏼🤠)
    Say hi to Patrick 🤭
And a big thanks for filming your adventure on the mountains of Arran 👍🤠
    Very best regards Simon

Hi Simon! (HI!) 😂 You would love it! I reckon we need a third video from another great channel 😉 Make sure you get Ailsa Craig right though 😂 (bit embarrassing making a public error)! And thank you most of all for appreciating the critters 😘 they’re not to everyone’s taste but I can’t resist sometimes so very pleased you enjoyed ‘em! TTFN - Sue

You certainly made the most of your weekend Sue and Patrick got his Corbett fix. And I'm glad you managed to get over to the Pirnmill hills while you were there, the ridge up onto Mullach Buidhe is indeed an enjoyable scramble. You walked right past my camp spot as you started the descent from Beinn Bharrain! But I'm going to have to give you a geography lesson on Arran 😉What you thought was Ailsa Craig is actually Holy Isle which sits outside Lamlash bay and the A'Chir ridge is just the section from Bealach an Fhir-bhogha to where it joins the lower path which you took. If you fancy doing the ridge again some day I'll pack the rope and a small rack 😁

I had a feeling you would give me a geography lesson after publishing this 😂 Not familiar territory for me but surprised I got Ailsa Craig wrong all this time. It’s such a lovely island when the sun shines, everyone looks so happy. Yes I’ll definitely return. What a place to have on your doorstep!

@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Yes, I'm very lucky Sue. Autumn is a good time to be over there when the midges and tourists have gone and in proper winter conditions the mountains rival any in Scotland ⛰⛰

@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Hi! Yes I’ve been swamped with life and haven’t been able to keep up with TH-cam but I’m trying to make some time as I love seeing everyone’s travels. I very much hope to go to Arran, I just wish I could hike the way you do. The views are just incredible!

Hi, I’ve found a local company which is based in Bellerby (near the market town of Leyburn) which does tours in the Yorkshire dales. The name of the company is Herriot Country Tours (named after the popular tv series ‘All Creatures Great & Small’, highly recommend watching if you haven’t seen it). www.herriotcountrytours.co.uk
Also Mountain Goat Tours, based in York. I’ve seen their buses all over the place round here.
I’ll put the kettle on & if you do visit let me know, I’ll show you a few highlights 😁

Hi you two, thanks for joining us 🥰 It’s usually lovely in Scotland during Springtime or Autumn when there are no midgies biting, but we are having a hot sunny period right now. I hope you get to visit soon, it’s fantastic to see visitors enjoying the sun & the landscape ❤️ Very best, Sue 😊

It’s a pleasure. There are so many outdoor videos on TH-cam. It’s great when you find those you really enjoy, and your efforts have paid off, you have a growing channel 😁 Good luck with the training 👍

Arran really is a gem and the amazing weather in late May though to late June was absolutely fantastic.
I'll certainly be back over several times more, so much to see and still to do.

It’s a blissful place in fine weather… forgive my dodgy pronunciation 😂 cycling, climbing, scrambling, backpacking, swimming… yes, still a lot to discover. Thanks for your comments! All the best, Sue

Hi 😂 Sue and Patrick (and mouthy animals!) I was hoping to go to Arran earlier this year but didn't make it (weather was looking far worse than your trip). Looks absolutely glorious there, will definitely have to get up there soon! If only to know what an elephant's backside feels like, without actually having to touch an elephant's backside 😅

    • @FIVE-FOOTLyth
      @FIVE-FOOTLyth  ปีที่แล้ว

Haha! Thanks Matt. Try the granite when you get there, you’ll see what it must feel like for a small person to climb a giant elephant’s rounded rear end with added friction 😂 Definitely the right choice to cancel in bad weather, it wouldn’t hold the same magic as a sunny day. I’ll look forward to your footage when you get there 😃

Thank you! And do visit, it’s heaven when the sun shines, but in summer a head net and insect repellant essential! I love seeing Scotland in good weather with everyone enjoying themselves 😘
