As I said in previous comment, I’m in Hokkaido and it’s in the middle of winter. My travel boots are Clark’s Beeswax leather boots. I line it with wool insoles and wear wool socks. I don’t slide anymore than those wearing winter boots. I do make sure I brush and use shoe polish to keep the inside of my boots dry. I got here when it rained a lot and so far, my Clark’s chukkas are holding up well, keeping my feet dry.
